New Look Grout

We’ve used Jeff a few times now, in two different residences of ours and each time, he’s been spectacular. Quick to respond, great availability, really quality work and a super nice guy. He wants you to get your money’s worth and each time, has often thrown in a bit extra to ensure the final product looks stellar all around (not just in the problem spot I originally called about). He is also willing to quote over the phone via picture, which is really helpful. Also important to someone with a schedule — he’s one of the few contractor-​type professionals that actually shows up on time!

This is the second time I have used Jeff. The first time was five years ago on a rental house where the trim pieces came off. He fixed them and they are as good as new five years later. This year I had him come out to remove the caulking around the perimeter of a shower stall and bath sink and re grout. He also removed caulking around shower enclosure door and replaced with new caulking. Jeff noticed that there was water underneath the glass enclosure and he took time to blow dry before re caulking. Some people would not have taken this extra step as it was not asked for initially. He is very detailed in his work. I recommend him highly.

Jeff is excellent, fair price for the hours he spent making my bathroom look new. He is meticulous and neat and left everything clean. He is on time and does not up sell but does point out issues so you can decide (I thought shower walls would not need to be touched, but once I saw how clean the floor was, I added the shower walls. Love the outcome.

Amazing service. Very clean and seems honest. Jeff gave me an estimate and stuck to it. We decided to re-​grout and old tile floor instead of changing out several tiles (original plan was to remove cracked tiles, but once he saw that one was under a toilet he informed me we’d have to remove toilet first).
VERY happy with final result. The new grout makes the whole floor look new and tiles look shiny.

Jeff just cleaned and changed the color of the grout on my kitchen floor. He was here about five hours and did a fantastic job! The «new» grout looks perfect, and he has a five year guarantee, so it should stay that way. Jeff is professional, very hard-​working, and an artist at what he does. He’s busy, and you may have to wait awhile, but it’s worth it!

Jeff cleaned and re grouted our Master bathroom. We just had him again to clean, grout, and caulk the other bath room As before Jeff came on time and went right to work. I hardly knew he was here. When he finished our bathroom sparkled.

Jeff is top notch. A pleasure to do business with, especially if you’ve been frustrated dealing with contractors in the past, and who hasn’t been? He is responsive, very clear and informative, and he shows up on time! He works hard, doesn’t screw around, and I think that’s why he can offer fair prices and great value. Jeff restored, re-​colored and sealed my 40 year old kitchen tile grout, changing it from a gross dark gray that absorbed everything and couldn’t be cleaned to a sparkling off-​white that beads up liquid and cleans easily. The kitchen looks new and updated at a fraction of the cost of new tile or countertops. I had him back to re-​seal my terra cotta floors… again, an excellent, efficient and cost effective job. I couldn’t recommend Jeff and New Look Grout any more highly.

Our bathrooms were looking pretty dingy and began looking for someone to re-​grout one of our bathrooms around the bathtub. We had received some pretty outlandish quotes but when Jeff came out to quote us he had the most reasonable quote we had received for the job we wanted done and we scheduled him then and there. He was punctual, and very clean. Owner: Jeff Hughell of New Look Grout did such an amazing job with our re-​grout for the upstairs bathroom that we scheduled him to re-​grout our downstairs shower and floor as well. He just finished the downstairs bathroom this afternoon and if we could rate him any higher on here we would! Cracked tiles were repaired and it all looks brand new. We will most definitely be sharing his information with those we know and will be scheduling him for our future tile work that we have planned. THANKS AGAIN JEFF!!!

jeff completely did all the grout in our house in 2010. this included kitchen tile and two bathrooms. jump forward four years, both bathrooms look great. however, the grout in the kitchen, due to heavy use, was ready for a re-​do.
we contacted the magic man who came in for a second round, which took about four hours, and once again, all grout looks like brand new. if we could give jeff a 10 on a scale of one to five, we would give him a ten. he is highly recommended for any and all grout work.

We had Jeff re-​caulk our shower, tubs, and kitchen counter. We were so pleased with his work we had him come back to repair and seal the grout in our kitchen floor and entry way. Jeff’s work is first class. He is also amazingly neat. When he is finished, except for the wonderful improvement in the work area, there is no trace of his having been there. No dust, no dirt. He arrives on time, works hard without hardly a break, and has impressive attention to detail We highly recommend Jeff.

The work was done well and within the time frame stated. I’m dinging one star because the shower door was not caulked (as he said he would do in the original estimate). I’m sure that he would have come back out to do it if I’d complained… I didn’t. As I was doing a bunch of other work around the house around the same time, my «usual» handyman said he had caulk in his van and would do it right then and there. So, minus one star because of that.
Overall, great service! My tile looks wonderful!

I had a great experience. He was professional and patient. He showed up on time (you’d be amazed at how many home-​repair service professionals show up late, or worse yet show up early). The work was done to complete satisfaction and in the time he estimated. And visitors are amazed at how much better my bathroom looks. I’m already recommending him to friends, since re-​grouting is so much more cheaper and environmentally friendly then ripping existing tile out.

Jeff Hughell performs a unique service, and he does it astonishingly well. He cleans tile and re-​stains the grout bringing back the original look in a matter of (in our case) hours. A couple years back he did our entryway, hallways, bathrooms — floors and countertops. They still look fabulous. This time he did our family room floor — wow! We had actually forgotten how nice the floor looked when it first was installed. Many thanks, and we will unhesitatingly refer him to our friends.

Jeff Hughell at New Look Grout finished the job my contractor couldn’t/ wouldn’t. Contractor did not want to seal the grout — told me I don’t really need it. And had no solutions when the grout came out the wrong color and inconsistent. Jeff came to the rescue and stained the grout the color it was supposed to be (cement stain, not paint) and then sealed it. It looks great and I had him write me a quote to clean and color my floor tiles and seal my granite while he was here!

My shower has WIDE grout lines and I hate it! Some day, it’ll be remodeled, but until then, Jeff Hughell of New Look Grout., made it look like brand new. I can echo what everybody else has said about his being courteous, professional, punctual, meticulous, friendly… all the good adjectives. Reasonable quote and he sticks to it. He’s rare in this day and age and I only wish he did more things so I could have him do more jobs for me. Finally, somebody I can trust! I can just leave him to it and not worry that I have to oversee everything. Jeff did a very large kitchen and family room floor for us two years ago and made it look like new too, and that was a miracle because I had just spent $ 1200 to have another company do a totally useless job on it only days before. I forgot to leave him feedback then (bad me!) but I was determined this time to let people know that they should definitely call Jeff of New Look Grout whenever they need help with ugly grout and tile. He re-​caulked the shower pan too, inside and out, and it looks amazing, like new. I absolutely recommend him 100%! And nothing ever goes right for me and I hate everybody who does work in my house, so that is saying a lot!

I had Jeff re-​do our bathroom and our kitchen and work both on the sealing the caulking. Since he was there my wife had him reseal the granite in the kitchen and it is better than we put it in 2 years ago. Extremely friendly, knows what he doing, and came to work on time. A 5 star job for sure.

Jeff recently refinished a LARGE terra cotta tile floor in our home (most of the downstairs of our house). He talked to us a lot about staining the grout which was something I was leery about, having had bad experiences with grout «painting» during a former bathroom remodel. Jeff showed us what it would look like by staining the inside of the closet (no charge) and boy were we impressed. So, we told him to do the whole floor. It was quite a project — he applied the stain with a toothbrush on over 1000 sq ft. of floor! Then, at the last step of applying the glaze there was a problem and the glaze started bubbling. Jeff said this never happened to him before in his career. Importantly, instead of trying to do a half ass job of fixing it or removing it only in certain areas, he brought in a team of helpers and started the job from scratch again, having to strip and restain the entire floor. This was, of course, an inconvenience for both of us but at the end the floor turned out fantastic. He’s super friendly, shows up on time, communicates well, does meticulous work and will do what it takes to get a fabulous end result. I’ve attached a couple of before and after pictures — you’ll be amazed.

Jeff Hughell, owner of New Look Grout, did a terrific job re-​grouting my shower. The shower – 50 years old with the original ceramic tile – had been very poorly re-​grouted three years ago. I was hoping to find someone who would do a professional job this time.
I hit the jack pot with Jeff. He was clear with his estimate, prompt each time we scheduled the work (two separate days), very well organized and cleaned up the bathroom thoroughly on completion of the work. He was focused, polite and professional and reminded me of the «old-​school» craftsmen we seldom see these days. He answered all our questions and gave us good advice about future care of the tile and grout.
I would recommend Jeff to anyone who is looking for a real «pro» to work on their tile & grout in bathrooms, kitchens or floors. His prices are reasonable. His work is exemplary and he is a genuinely nice guy. What more could you want?

Jeff Hughell turned back the clock on our old, dingy, tired tiled shower and bathroom floor. The grout was lifting and missing in some spots, permanent mildew stains in certain areas.
I’m not sure what was involved in the process of making it look new again, but he did an excellent job in making the shower look fresh and inviting again. It was an inexpensive solution vs. gutting the whole bathroom and the drama of contractors.
The only drawback was waiting 3 days for the grout to seal and then another half day for some type of top protective sealant to dry. The results outweighed any inconvenience. I took a step back when I walked in and saw the amazing results.
Jeff was very considerate with his communication. He was nice, came on time and was low-​key in his demeanor. His price quote given in the beginning was the same as when the job ended. Jeff is a one man show, no out of state cousins, no unmotivated 20yr old son, no hired street help … just Jeff! I once had a whole Turkish family in my bathroom. You never know what you’re getting.
