The ffing day another area that has dry rot was found. Am paying another to ensure allz been caught & replaced. Been told by new contractor he doesnt understand why & how the biz owner treated the area the way he did using a smaller pc of redwood instead of simply replacing the entire plank. IDK myself whether he had run out of wood or was being v cheap. Bad karma being cheap. Beware of this biz & owner. (x-​ref to my earlier 9÷11÷15 rev)

I have read his rebuttal and laughed out loud how ridiculous his comments were. No way did I mention west Nile virus, I hated all the flies I had to kill and the air conditioner being wasted because the door left ajar everyday. My PG&E bill was 3 times normal, but I did not charge him for the difference. I did discover that he never secured the oven to the wall., when I replaced the oven this year, it just slid out. Very dangerous. A good example of his not inspecting his sub contractors work. Still having great difficulty with the pantry shelving in the door. Won’t stay shut because the piano hinge he used (by the way wrong application for that type) are not keeping it square so it had twisted so it will not stay closed. As I have said in the previous comments I had many issues with this remodel and would never recommend Better Homes Construction. I have lived with the shoddy work because I do not want him in my house, as to the pictures, if he took any he did without my permission. I would not let him take any while I was present. I did not want him to use me in his gallery. Lousy work!!!

Amazing job! I just had to have my ceilings redone. Bruce did such a great job tearing down and replacing my soundproof ceilings. The last job was horrible, and such a mess and waist of money! Bruce and his team came in and made my home look so beautiful and brand new! Along with adding really nice crown molding. Along with doing such a great job, even my mom was happy with the out come and has even chosen Better Homes Construction to do her addition to her own home. If you want a good contractor who can get the job done, and right for a makeover in you home. Better Homes Construction is the way to go!

I’ve worked with Bruce for several years now, have ALWAYS been pleased with his work and professionalism, but this last job was amazing… mostly because of the Horrible job the last guy did.
I had a contractor soundproof all ceilings in my condo, and, well, basically, it was the worst job i’ve ever seen ever! Popcorn (who even uses that), the ceiling started falling down, (literally), the guy left my place dirty and with huge cracks down the ceiling. The popcord continued to fall off, and i didn’t have the money to fix it.
Bruce was cheaper by $ 3500. than my best bid, was quick, systematic, and professional. The whole garbage job with the other guy took over a month, Bruce
took under two weeks, the sound proofing is great, and he even added beautiful crown molding, which makes it look better than before.
They cleaned after they left, and now I’m so relieved and not worried the ceiling is going to fall on everyone’s head!
Thanks Bruce! You’ve given me peace of mind!

I am giving Better Homes 5 STAR rating because they were so knowledgable and helpful with the remodeling of our kitchen. Bruce and his crew were very professional and completed the job a head of our planned schedule. In fact we were so happy with his work we decided to use him to remodel our 2 bathrooms. He assisted us with the design and his personal demeaner made these projects far less stressful than we had anticipated. The updates are beautiful and I feel like we have a new home. Not only do we reccomend Better Homes Consstruction, we look forward to using them again on any future projects. Thank you Better Homes for taking such good care of us.

I’m giving Better Homes Construction 5 STARS because my Dream Kitchen is now a reality. Bruce not only was professional but definitely knows his stuff! We have been living in our home for 19 years and have made some upgrades along the way, but were so ready to update the 1970ish kitchen; and it was something that I particularly wanted to do for years and years. We knew basically what we wanted, but being that we were amateurs at remodeling and what was available, Bruce stepped up and designed our new kitchen beautifully and we are more than delighted with the way it turned out! The kitchen was completely renovated including the removal of the wall between our living room/​dining area. My husband and I are saying now, «Why didn’t we have this done years ago»!! This has opened up our living space and we feel like we’re «living in someone else’s home» a home that we always had envied before, but now it’s ours. Bruce’s team also painted the entire downstairs and helped me choose the right colors (which is a task in itself); tore down our drafty old fashioned wood burning fireplace and suggested we put in a gas insert instead! WoW. we absolutely love this and it looks so modern and serves as a heating unit; so we’re not running our forced air hardly at all now and saving on our PG&E bills! They also installed all new ceiling can lights throughout, and even installed a surround sound home theatre unit in what we call now our new «Media Room»!
Bruce and his team finished this project in a very timely manner too so we weren’t camping out in our home for too long. Bruce is a very personable person and really cares if you are happy and satisfied with everything! He is hands-​on and helped immensely with choosing all the detailed items. He was always available for our questions along the way and always made an attempt to please us and provided the best service possible. I would highly recommend Better Homes Construction for anyone who wants to make changes and upgrade their home. They can do just about everything that you have ever dreamed of and more! We are very very happy with all the upgrades and changes to our home! Thank you Better Homes!
