Crowworks Design and Construction

I highly recommend Crowworks Design and Construction for design, construction and repair work.
After suffering through a burst water pipe that caused extensive water damage throughout my house, I had to deal with all of the resulting insurance and repair issues. Complicating matters, I was in the process of selling the house to my tenant.
My tenant called quite a few contractors. Crow was the only person willing to do the work whom she liked. Plus, he was able to do everything (design assistance, floor replacement, carpeting, painting, bathroom redesign, electrical work, etc.). Crow worked closely with me to provide an estimate that matched the way my insurance estimate was organized, which was extremely complicated.
Crow worked closely with my tenant on design issues. When construction began, Crow worked 8 hours a day Monday through Friday, which was great. The entire huge project took only a few weeks instead of months. He took a lot of pride in providing high quality craftsmanship. He was also mindful of staying within budget. That was very important to me. Crow worked diligently, tracked his time carefully and provided me with weekly bills that were organized.
I was pleasantly surprised with how beautifully everything turned out. My tenant was thrilled. The sale of the house was easy and successful, which would not have been the case without Crowworks Design and Construction.

If you love great craftsmanship punctual work at a good price with a daily joke Crow is your man. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a Contractor.

Crow is absolutely amazing! We hired him to do a backyard fence and had some very specific requests about style & height. Before even looking at the project space he took the time to talk with us about why we needed the fence and what our vision for the area was. During the early stages of the project he checked in multiple times to confirm that what he was doing was what we expected and he made suggestions that added aesthetic value without adding cost! As our first major project in our new home I was very concerned about staying within budget and his final cost was on target with his estimate which I loved. At the end of the project when I asked him about other projects around the house he made suggestions about what we could do ourselves versus what actually needed a contractor. He is incredibly polite, enthusiastic and on time; all qualities I love in working with a contractor. He clearly cared about improving our home as much as we cared which really makes a difference when you are entrusting somebody with your investment. I will be calling Crow for our next project.

Crow built a deck on our house and we love it! He has a wonderful design eye and great ideas. He could see our vision right away and ran with it, making suggestions but also listening to us all the way. He is funny, friendly, punctual, professional, worked GREAT with the city of Berkeley, and always kept us informed of every move he made through the whole process. He was very aware and considerate of our budget. I would recommend Crow for all your household remodeling and updating needs.

I hired Crowworks Design to remodel a small master bath. I selected Crow because I wanted a licensed contractor who:
* Could handle the muscle-​oriented demolition work AND pay attention to the detail-​oriented finishing work;
* Did not have to bring a small army into my home;
* Would push my normal range of creativity;
* Stop me from making aesthetically discordant decisions; and
* I could communicate with.
Crow has these skills and attributes, and they are what enabled him to create a master bath that I absolutely love.
My basic instructions were that I wanted to replace the bathtub with a stall shower; increase storage capacity; maximize a small space; and for the room to be light, bright, airy, and warm. I also showed him a photo of red rock country in Southern Utah that I wanted the walls to be reminiscent of while being in the lighter range.
I was afraid that «light, bright, and airy» contradicted «warm,» but Crow figured out a way to achieve it. He also figured out a way to increase storage capacity without making the room seem smaller. The result is an extremely functional bath that is aesthetically gorgeous.
Because i am a Libra, i have to balance my positive comments with this observation: Crowworks is not cheap… but i suspect that with a remodel, you get what you pay for. Having said that, you should know that I was so enamored of my new bathroom that after it was completed, I almost couldn’t bring myself to use it… for the first week, i just admired it, totally amazed at the transformation that had taken place.
As others have said, Crow and his assistant Manuel are both very pleasant to have around (this was important since I work from home). They were on time, worked hard, and were very responsive and client-​oriented. On a personal level, I believe they are both responsible family men of good character.

Crow has helped us with various home projects (large & small). We are consistently impressed by his ability to problem solve when running into unforseen problems (which of course always happens with home repair & improvement). On the last job Crow & Manuel (his extremely talented partner) were able to fix an unforseen flood, repair the original work they come to do and some additional things in half the time estimated. Their estimates are accurate and they are honest. We will continue to hire them & they are worth waiting for if they are on another job.

Crow is great: he can do just about anything. He has done a variety of jobs for me, including a kitchen remodel. a re-​do of a solar thermal system, installation of a gas heating stove with gas lines, installing a floor, and other miscellanous projects. He is thoroughly reliable, does an excellent job, and is extremely skilled. Highly recommended

This guy can do anything! We hired him for a small project but he is so multi-​talented that we ended up having him perform various electrical and carpentry jobs for us as well.
We comfortably left him alone in our house for several days and his work was beautiful, timely and within his budgeted cost.
We have already hired him for further work as soon as he is available.

Crow showed up on time, did the work professionally with no «hidden surprises» and cleaned up when he left. He is an extremely pleasant person to deal with and I recommend his services. I would use him again on an even bigger project

I’ve used Crow (of Crowworks design) on several projects around the house, including a kitchen remodel, some plumbing and two fences. I’ve also had him take care of a few niggling projects that I’d never quite gotten to. Everything was done with a high degree of skill and at a reasonable cost. I had planned on doing a fairly plain fence gate and Crow came up with an elegant design that I used instead. In the kitchen remodel some specs from a stove manufacturer were wrong and Crow was able to quickly adapt so no time was lost. He truly wants you to be happy with his work and busts his butt so you will be. Highly recommended, for large projects or small!

My wife and I hired Crowworks Design last summer to convert a small room in the back of our house to a half bathroom, as well as to replace some older single pane windows and a funky old aluminum back door. We knew the job was going to involve a lot of creative thinking and custom work from the start, and we were counting on CD to execute the vision we had for this space with minimal oversight. The scope included major plumbing, electrical, carpentry and finish work.
Right around the time the work was started, my family left for a vacation. We returned 2 weeks later to find a completely finished new bathroom, two new picture windows in the back bedroom, and a beautiful glass back door leading out to our deck. We were surprised and amazed by the speed, quality, and attention to detail, and are thrilled with the way the project turned out.
I would highly recommend Crowworks Design for your next project. Crow is a consummate professional, easy to work with, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to design, construction, and fabrication. And his expertise across a variety of trades means you don’t need an army of specialists and subcontractors – a huge plus when the scale of your project doesn’t support such high overhead.

If you are considering on embarking on a home improvement project, I can whole-​heartedly endorse Crowworks Design for the job. First of all, he is an excellent communicator with a tremendous eye for detail. This skill is often transferred to his ability to solve inevitable physical world issues with skill and grace.
Crowworks finished our kitchen remodel project back in 2005, and we still enjoy the transformation our house has undergone to this day. My business is also in residential construction (high-​end home automation) so I’ve been exposed to the work habits of many contractors in the Bay Area. Often, its just not a good fit to have a really big contractor or really limited contractor do your remodel project.
If you hire Crow, I am sure that he will exceed your expectations on what a contractor can be, and that you will have probably made a good friend along the way. What could be better?
