Olivares Tree Service

Fast service, well organized team. The guys did a great job, left the area clean and were very patient with me, as I am very protective of my trees and had some specific trimming requests. I highly recommend them!

We had two small (~30 to 50 ft) trees that were dying/​ill and needed to be removed.
Olivares responded quickly to our request for a quote, and it was about a week from the time we contacted them to completion of the job. The team that came to do the removal was also kind enough to offer to remove a large pile of yard waste we hadn’t dealt with.
While they called the day before the appointment asking to reschedule, we were able to agree upon another appointment later in the same day.
The two trees were removed in about two hours, including stump grinding. Overall I’m very happy with the job the team did and the quick response/​completion of the job.

Efrin and his team did a great job for us. Communication and time it took to set up an appointment was great, and he was very punctual — no wasted time. We had two large juniper trees trimmed down and thinned out to reduce weight, including several large limbs, a large yucca cleaned up and a neighbors’s birch trimmed back. They seemed very skilled at climbing and took good precaution not to damage my existing plants, as well as managing their own safety. Efrin was there the entire time checking the angles so they knew exactly which branches to cut — loved that. Another arborist had recommended cutting down one of our trees entirely due to its slanted growth, but Efrin explained to me why he thought we should keep the tree (it was holding up the weight of a nearby tree) and I agreed with him after he explained. I was very happy with the aesthetics of how the tree turned out.
When they were done, we thought a few branches could have been trimmed back more and they happily obliged without any complaint. It was important to them to make sure we were pleased.
I would say that if you are a particular customer, you might want to be around to monitor the progress. Sometimes we had differing opinions of how much to cut something but they were great at either accommodating us or explaining why we shouldn’t cut something. One problem we did have was they cut back our neighbors Birch Tree more then I had explained. This resulted in less privacy but I wasn’t sure if I had just not communicated what I wanted properly and they happen to cut that part when I was out.
The team did a great job cleaning up as best as they could. Unfortunately trimming juniper trees means a lot of shredded needles and it couldn’t be removed from an area covered with bark. This made for a bigger mess than I hoped for, but I don’t know what they could’ve done to prevent this.
I would definitely use Oliveira’s tree service again. Their quote was very competitive, their work was excellent, and mostly they were just a pleasure to work with. The crew were all extremely nice and accommodating and I enjoy working with people I like. It makes it a lot easier to spend so much money!

I’m extremely pleased with the excellent work this crew did for my backyard. I got a quote from Efrain to remove 2 (8ft Yucca trees) and 3 tree stumps. Total of 5 tree stump grinds, for $ 700.
I had gotten quotes from many other places ranging from $ 700 — $ 3000 for the same amount of work.
Efrain and his crew appear to be a family business. They have a hard work ethic, and ridiculously reasonable prices.
The work 2 men and 1 female did for me was extremely hard labor. They spent well over 5 hrs at my place, chainsawing, grinding, shoveling, and hacking at the tree stumps. I felt this work was well worth the money spent!
I would call up Efrain and his crew again in a heartbeat!

I called Efrin and he came by that day to look at a huge tree stump I needed removed. He gave me a good price and was back first thing the next morning to take it out. He even trimmed some high branches on another tree and did not charge us. We highly recommend them.

We had a large number of trees on our half-​acre property that were overgrown. I obtained four or five bids from highly-​reviewed companies on Unilocal,and this company had the most competitive bid by a significant margin. They removed (including grinding the stumps) and pruned a number of trees all around our property, and were very professional, careful and neat about it. We are very happy campers. They’re also very responsive in their communications.

Efran is awesome! He saved me from a back yard full of wood and sawdust left by PGE after cutting down a 100ft tree. Efran came out right after I called. The estimate was fair so we shook hand and that was it. Next day he and his crew showed up. They were all really friendly and worked extremely hard all day. By 4pm they had finished — the wood was gone, saw dust gone, it looked like a backyard again. I not only gladly paid Efran but gave him a big hug. He is a good man. My backyard still needs a lot of work over next few months and Olivares Tree Service will get my business!

They start cutting trees early in the morning with a chainsaw waking up the whole neighborhood. They leave one guy in the top of the tree between the apartment houses so no one’s watching him from the ground and people can get hurt by falling tree branches. They leave tree branches, ropes and hardware lie around and on the pathways. Very unsafe.

My neighbor had a large tree that was leaning quite a bit and the trunk split and ¹⁄₃ of it grew on our side of the fence, so we decided for the safety of our houses, we needed to cut this tree down. Together, we got estimates from 5 different companies and Olivares Tree Service had the most competitive bid. They came the same day I called them for an estimate and got the job done (a few days later) within a little over 4 hours on Saturday, which was surprisingly fast considering one of the other companies said it would take them a day or two! Not only that, but for a little extra, they trimmed the branches off another tree, removed all the ivy on the trunk of that tree (which was slowly killing it), and removed a small tree in our yard. Afterwards, they cleaned up all the leaves and branches, even the ones that were there before they cut the tree down. I was amazed at how clean and professional everything was.
I was impressed by this company’s price, speed, and professionalism and would hire them again should any other trees need to be cut down someday.

This company was amazing, my appointment was for 9am, they arrived at 8:30. They cut down a 40ft. Tree without damaging any of the trees around it. Removed the stump so well that the following weekend when we rototilled we didn’t feel one single root. Amazing service!

Can’t ask for anything more. After the big, windy storm a tall, dead pine needed to go before falling over. Efrain Plascencia showed up the day I called, a few minutes early to give an estimate. His estimate was (by far) the best of 3. Efrain communicates well, has a nice smile and a friendly professional disposition. Today, the crew arrived a few minutes early, ready to work. He and his crew are finishing up now (as I write!) The tree came down, neat and clean. They are cleaning up after the work. Efrain and his crew (3 total) are courteous, accommodating, fast and are completing the job as promised, with a couple of other dead branches on other trees removed, no added cost. (Thank you!) Efrain showed me his documentation of insurance (I asked). Really, no complaints or suggestions for improvement.

I was absolutely pleased with the work that Efran and company did last Saturday. When I called my husband to wake him up before 9:00 for the service that was going to begin he told me that the workers were already in place taking down the first tree in front of the house. Next came the 75 + foot tree. His team worked strategically chain sawing limb by limb. Efran ran the crew so comfortably and always kept his eyes on the guy in the tree.
The price was the best. I can now sleep very comfortably knowing that the huge pine tree limbs will not break off!!!
His crew was courteous and very proffesional.
I would definetly use this company again.
