Business Owner

Dr. Amiri is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She recieved her degree from University of Washington in the beautiful city of Seattle. She is a General dentist that specializes in family and cosmetic dentistry.

In 1994 Dr. Amiri moved from Washington to California to open her own practice here in Tustin. Being a daughter, wife and mother of two makes it possible for Dr. Amiri to be a successful family dentist.

Very bad doctor, she will ask you for more money than what your copay is, also she will offer different things that you did not need it just to make you pay more.
she told me to change my insurance to PPO instead of DHMO, but she still accepting DHMO «very weird»
she told me that i will need 2 crowns and she will send a pre-authorization form.
she lied to me, she told me the crown will need pre-authorization and she will send the request to my insurance and after 2 months I called the dental office and they told me they didn’t get any response from my insurance. then I called my insurance and they told me they don’t need any pre-authorization, i asked my insurance to call her and explain that, but she told my insurance that my case does’t need a crown «she lied again»
she just don’t want to do it under DHMO coverage and want me to change to PPO

First of all I need to admit that I am a big baby when it comes to dentists. For years I had trouble with any dentist that I went to until a relative referred me to Doctor Amiri. I must say I was truly impressed, she was patient and communicative every minute asking me how I was feeling and by explaining what she was doing my fear went away. The second thing that really impressed me about her office was that she worked with my insurance and got my dental work covered as much as possible through insurance and she gave me a payment plan for the balance. I can’t see myself ever going to any other dentist.

Went in for a regular cleaning, was genuinely surprised by the friendly service and calm atmosphere. Made me feel a bit more relaxed, usually dread these sort of appointments.

I would give a zero if possible. Very dishonest dentist. Went to get cleaning on first visit and they only took xrays and said they can’t do cleaning; said I needed to get cavities filled and deep cleaning. quoted me out of pockets costs higher than my HMO plan stated. On return visit, i pointed out the incorrect quotes and the dentist said she can’t do the work for me and that the HMO told me the wrong pricing. Said I need to schedule another appointment with office manager who is out that day.
Dishonest, rip-off dentist. Don’t waste your time here.
