Dr. Shubin also offers natural-​looking porcelain veneers, dental crowns and tooth-​colored composite fillings to make your new smile sparkle.

We provide general dental care, cosmetic dentistry, dental implant therapy and full mouth reconstruction. We offer sedation dentistry to help with your care, from nitrous oxide (laughing gas), to comfortable I.V. moderate conscious sedation.

Established in 1987.

Dr. Nicholas Shubin DDS established the Dr. Shubin Method in 1987 in San Juan Capistrano, CA. He is proud to have served patients in our community. Through continuing education and state-​of-​the-​art equipment, he is able to offer you and your family the high level of care you’re looking for.

Love this office!!! I am a dental hygienist so I’m as picky as it gets when it comes to quality dental care. I had an emergency and saw Dr. Shubin for a filling on my front tooth and he is a dental artist. It looks so natural, you can’t tell its even there! I could tell he used a high quality composite material because when I run my tongue across the tooth, it feels smooth and natural. The shot he gave me was painless and very effective… no additional shots needed and the numbness wore off pretty quickly once I left the office. The entire staff, especially his hygienist Rachel, was warm and caring and being the dental phobic that I am (yes, even dental professionals get nervous in the chair!!!)…I was relieved they were able to put me right at ease. The office is clean and sterile and the ambiance is welcoming. Thank you, Dr. Shubin… I am a Happy Hygenie!!!

Dr. Shubin is our family dentist and we began seeing him for regular dental maintenance a few years ago. As an anxious patient, I always felt more than comfortable at his office and have gone from needing light sedation and/​or gas for routine procedures to getting my teeth cleaned every 3 months without a shred of anxiety! From the hygienist, to the front office staff, to the dental assistants, and of course Dr. Shubin himself, this team makes you feel at home ,
But, the real magic has been in Dr. Shubin’s treatment of my husband…
In need of a mountain of dental work, my husband had avoided the dentist for years and years. When he finally went to see Dr. Shubin, he finally felt comfortable tackling the work needed one step at a time. Dr. Shubin and his team are as low pressure as they come, and helped my husband to handle things in manageable steps.
Fast forward a year, and Dr. Shubin has completely rebuilt my husband’s mouth from the inside out — I couldn’t tell you in detail all that involved, but substantial would be an understatement. I can’t tell you what a difference this has made in his health, his appearance, his confidence and his life in general.
A perfectionist, Dr. Shubin was absolutely meticulous in giving my husband a natural look that will stand the test of time. We’ve had friends that have gotten a «deal» elsewhere and their lumineers/​veneers have a strange appearance to them. With Dr. Shubin’s work, you are getting the best of the best… plain and simple. We are fans and patients for life. Just got my teeth cleaned today as a matter of fact! ;)

Since I moved To OC from Glendale 2 years ago; since that time I was looking for a dentist in flyers. Now I know that is worst thing to do; always ask for friends recommendations.
Almost a year ago I went to their office for routine dental cleaning. It was for $ 69 including exam and xrays; I was charged double the amount. They said I needed extra xray which was not included in package. They did a bad job in cleaning my teeth
the stains were not removed completely and watch out they are a rip-​off!!!

Dr. Shubin is a wonderful dentist with the patience and experience to put a patient at ease for only necessary procedures. Dr. Shubin does work the right way the first time. His staff is very comforting and sincere which makes me, the patient feel important. The office is clean and state of art, equipped with a machine to do necessary scans and crowns on the spot. Dr. Shubin took the time to take care of my dental needs. I am glad my friends referred me to Dr. Shubin.

Dr. Shubin made me feel comfortable during the process to remove a few teeth and to cut/​clean out infected tissue and to properly fit me for my new dentures. Although I had substantial bone loss, Dr. Shubin carefully measured my mouth for a proper fit for new dentures. Dr. Shubin paid attention to detail to give me a NEW SMILE that has won me many compliments and built my confidence. Friends recommended Dr. Shubin because of his technical expertise and excellent staff. The office staff is friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable at each office visit. They work well as a team with a caring attitude toward the patient. I am lucky to have Dr. Shubin work on my dental needs and I highly recommend him to other customers based on my experience and referrals from friends.

I used to see the dentist when I saw him Seems like a good guy and he showed me some cool equipment that he uses to track cavities but every time I used it He found a cavity every time which is Why I never will ever go back to him again

I have been a patient of Dr. Shubin for over 20 years and as far as I am concerned he is the absolute BEST! I have a very low tolerance for dental pain. Dr. Shubin and his staff are very efficient in lowering my anxiety and making me comfortable. I recently had a tooth crack. I was able to go to the office immediately and get my tooth looked at. An appointment was made for the next day and Dr. Shubin was able to put a permanent crown on my tooth that same day. It was all done in one visit! Based on my understanding of these procedures it isn’t unusual for this process to take two or three visit. My tooth is DONE. The crown in perfect and my bite is the same as it was before the procedure. Dr. Shubin gets my highest recommendation. Need a dentist… call Dr. Shubin… NOW!

I used to have a significant amount of anxiety when visiting the dentist. Nowadays I am excited to see Dr. Shubin’s kind staff and am impressed with his skill, years of experience, and various specializations! He is up to date with his equipment and training! I am very happy with my teeth and am complimented regularly on my smile! I would highly recommend Dr. Shubin and couldn’t imagine having a different dentist! He is awesome!!!
