I called yesterday to schedule a ride up to a club in SF from San Jose for my girlfriend’s birthday party. The last thing I asked the guy on the phone was, «this is a sedan right? like a towncar?» He confirmed but when the driver arrived it was an old minivan taxi. The car had its check engine light on and we had no air conditioning. This was not what I had in mind for my girlfriend’s birthday. Completely disappointed, worst part was we were told $ 145 and it came out to $ 165. Please do not use this company! My ride down was from another company that picked us up from the club with a real SEDAN!

My boss was in San Fran for a conference and our usual transport company was sold out, so I looked on Unilocal for some help. I saw RTC and called the #. Leo answered and was very nice. Took down the hotel and airline info and pick-​up time and we were confirmed. I didn’t have to provide a credit card #. My boss said that the service was great and to keep it on our «list».

My friend scored owners box seating for Duran Duran at the Fillmore, so we decided to use a car service to avoid any issues with imbibing and driving. They were fabulous. Arrived exactly when they said they would. The Mercedes 500 was a late model and gorgeous. For pick-​up they arrived a few minutes early at the exact spot that the earlier driver and us scoped out. The whole transaction was seamless, easy and very affordable. The drivers were really, really friendly too.

For a recent airport trip, RTC was the 9th company I called, the previous 8 gave such shocking poor customer service over the phone, «no, you have to book on line», «you must pay in advance + 20% tip» «no, we don’t go to that end of town: etc, I had almost given up.
I was immediately impressed with the friendly «nothing is too much trouble» attitude and the competitive fare.
RTC called back to confirm 1 hr before pick up, were on time to the dot, helped with my luggage and my driver was super friendly and helpful.
A million times better than a cab, cheaper and great service, will recommend to all I know!

Quite honestly, it felt a bit extravagant at first to use a «black car» service. We’re not millionaires or royalty or high powered executives. But the cost was only slightly higher than using a cab. And the benefits made it feel like a steal.
We started using Marlon and Theo at RTC about 2.5 years ago when we found getting to the airport with a young baby was complicated, stressful and generally a deterrent to travel. A parents group recommended RTC and it was a great decision.
We’ve used both Marlon and Theo. Most often, we’ve used Marlon. He is always early, always in a good mood and he takes all the stress out of getting the car seat hooked up, getting the bags in the car, etc.
Totally worth it. And, again, not much more than a cab.
