We are a small and privately owned company and all local treatments and most repairs are done in house to offer you the best pricing possible. Our fumigations are subcontracted out to a company that we’ve worked with very closely for years to provide our customers with the best pricing for fumigating your home.

We understand the concerns of a Seller, Buyer or Owner of a property. Our staff will take the time to go over the report and findings so that you have a better understanding of what is going on with your home.

History

Established in 1999.

The president of Prime Exterminators started in the termite control business in 1989, and went on to start Prime Exterminators of Northern California in 1999. Prime Exterminators is one of the few termite companies around where the President often performs the inspections himself. If (He) does not perform the inspection, one of the highly trained inspectors will.

Experience, honesty and integrity make the difference.

All our inspectors have a minimum of 22 years in the field. Our inspectors are paid by the hour and not commission, so they are not pushed to hurry or make up things to raise their commission like many other companies.

We have researched orange oil thoroughly and have realized it is not a product we wish to use. We have been to over 150 properties after the orange oil treatment was done and 99% still had termites or areas were simply missed! By the way, you can stay in your home while we are doing a local treatment with our chemical of choice, and it works so much better!

Business Owner

The owner, Patrick started in this industry in 1989 as a «helper», in Southern California. He was taught by the owner of the company and moved up to head technician/​crewman by 1992. He became a licensed inspector and went on to perform inspections, treatments, and repairs. The company he worked for chose him to open up a branch office in Northern California in 1994. In 1999 the company he was working for filed bankruptcy. Knowing that was likely going to happen prior, Patrick took and passed the Operators state exam in Sacramento and assembled his team. Some of his original team is still employed by Prime Exterminators today. The company stays current on all new procedures, technology, and training. The company uses solutions that work, and stays away from simple money making schemes that may generate good income and profit, but do not really serve the customer (orange oil-​annual contracts-​bait stations).

I wanted to start off by saying that I am writing this review on behalf of my mom who does not have a Unilocal account herself and asked me several times to write this review because of the amazing experience she had today when Don came to evaluate her home. He was very thorough and in the end did not find any termites. She had wanted to know if he could still fumigate and he was very open and honest and said there would be no need to and probably would not be honest of him or his company if fumigating a home without termites. There was no cost for this estimate and my mom felt Don was honest from beginning to end. I am not surprised that Prime Exterminators has a 5 star review and I will make sure to spread their honest work to my other family members and friends!

Recently found evidence of termites in my garage and called Prime Exterminators based on great Unilocal reviews and wasn’t disappointed.
They were fast, efficient, and pretty much did exactly what was needed with a minimum of fuss or bother. A few emails to get the job set up, read and sign a form, schedule an appointment. Guys were scheduled to tent my garage between 8 AM and 10 AM on a Saturday, they arrived at 8:00 AM sharp and completed the whole tenting process in less than two hours and I still had my Saturday intact! I was traveling that week, they came back and took the tent down and cleaned up the following Tuesday so that when I came home later that week it was all done and everything was in good shape.
Very easy, delivered what they promised when they promised it. Rare in today’s world.

My neighbor introduce me to Prime Exterminator last month and thank goodness I listen to her. Patrick did the house inspection for us and he was very knowledgeable and very sincerer. The fumigation was done by Mega Fume and they arrived earlier than I expect and they did excellent job during the tent set up and removal. Everything was done just the way they promise. I would recommend Prime Exterminator to my neighbors from now on. They price is very reasonable and low compare to other big franchise and their work are above my expectation.

Very pleased with Prime Exterminators.
I am a Superintendent for a small construction company from Orange County. I am working in Fremont on a small remodel project. During the demo, I noticed termite mud tubes inside of 3 of the walls. I have seen these many times before and knew that it was s termite issue. I contacted Prime Exterminators to come out and advise me as to what I should do. A guy named Pat came out and told me that there was an active subterranean termite infestation inside of the walls and that he could take care of them, no problem. He quoted me a price, which I felt was fair and set it up to have someone come out and take care of them. All went as agreed upon, and it did not hamper my schedule. A+ service.

We bought a house and the seller gave a pest inspection report. However, we had termite issues at a previous residence, and we wanted to make doubly sure that they were not going to be a problem, so for peace of mind, we had Prime Exterminators come out to take a look.
Don was our inspector. He was very thorough and pointed out a number of things that the original inspection did not (like the fact that the house had been treated for subterranean termites in 2008 — the sticker notice was in the garage), Advised us on how to prevent infestations, and also pointed out a couple other things that didn’t have anything to do with termites but was definitely helpful (mouse droppings in the garage and possible rodent access points). Definitely worth the $ 150(yelp inspection price)

The fumigation of my home was just completed today. Prime uses Best Fumigation as their contractor. I was a bit concerned about this as I did not have any contact with anyone from Best prior to them arriving to do the fumigation. However, I was pleasantly surprised once they did arrive. I was asked it I had any questions and the few I had were answered. Then we walked around the house so I could show them what I had done to get the house ready. I left Thursday afternoon about 1:30 pm after being told they would call me on Saturday about a half hour before I could get back in the house. Saturday morning at about 10:00 am I received a call and I was back in the house by 11:00 am. Best did not leave any mess for me to clean up outside the house and the interior of the house was also as I left it with maybe a little dust to take care of. I have found not damage at this point (a roofer will look at the roof on September 1 to repair some dry rot and will check the roof to make certain it is not damaged but I expect it to be fine).
I would definitely recommend Prime and their contractor Best for anyone’s needs.

I already had a termite inspection done, and Pat came for a competitive bid. His assessment is very thorough and honest, telling me the items that really should be taken care of, and ones that aren’t really urgent or worth doing. After the fact, Mary also promptly sent out their official detailed report. Due to scheduling issue I was not able to work with them, but I definitely will in the future.

So very happy with Prime Exterminators.
I found tiny holes in a bedroom floor, with odd little pellets left behind. I was worried it could be termites. After looking/​asking around I found Prime Exterminators on Unilocal.
I called and spoke with Mary, she set up an appointment for me right away, and I explained I had to get the possible fumigation done within a tiny window of time.
Don inspected my home. He was really nice, knowledgeable, and even called me to let me know when he would arrive. He confirmed I did have termites, and I needed fumigation. He talked with me about how to keep these destructive little buggers out of my home. He was even nice to my pets. He also explained a lot about the termites, and what attracted them. For some reason, these evil little suckers are all over my neighborhood this year.
Mary got me all the paperwork very quickly, and she was always available to answer the questions I came up with when prepping for the tenting.
The termite tenting went well, nothing was broken, not even my ultra delicate security cameras, or sketchy looking roof. I got a call letting me know when the crew would arrive, and they were all really nice as well. The tent was removed when they said it would be, no more free termite lunch at my house!
I don’t know how I got so lucky, I usually get the worst people to perform a horrible job. This is the first time not one single issue sprang up.
Thanks to Prime Exterminators, I no longer have nightmares about termites collapsing my house.

By far the most professional and helpful extermination company I have ever worked with. Everything was explained and all questions were answered fully before moving on. The representative, Pat was knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. Pat and the Prime Exterminators’ office were helpful from the initial inspection to the fumigation and even assistance with concerns after the fumigation. On top of all that, they were the best price.

Why would you ever go anywhere else. Where the other guys want to either rip you off, are not thorough enough, or do not understand what they are doing, these guys are the pro’s. Patrick is an honest person who actually cares about what he does as well as his customers. Seriously, do not waste your time or money anywhere else. Also remember, if you want cheap you get what you pay for where other companies do less than what they should or more than what they should. Patrick does EXACTLY what they should no more, no less. Example, another company said there was subterranean termites and he found none. THANKS PRIME!

Great professionalism! It is hard to gage how good someone really is, since these are services we don’t use often. But the fact that the inspector came with shoe covers impressed me and subtly conveyed the message that they care about my house. We will probably use them for their services, but not immediately.

After having 4 or 5 companies inspect my house we went with prime because of quality service and price. They contract out to Mega Fume and they were very efficient. They were flexible with changing the date for me and I didn’t have to wait weeks for a fumigation which some of the other companies offered.

I highly recommend Pattrick, He explains stuff, and gives you suggestions on how to improve and maintain things. He is honest and quite knowledgeable. You can try it yourself as well.
He didn’t charge us anything since our inspection and termite treatment was done 3 years before. And he did provided us with the preliminary report free of charge of the exterior which he inspected for us.
We will call him, when our next inspection is due.

Prime Exterminators inspected my house and it was determined that I needed a termite fumigation. Prime Exterminators actually subcontract out their fumigation to Best Fumigation, a great company from Fremont.
Best Fumigation was really OUTSTANDING, professional in every way.
Although, I did have some problems with Prime Exterminators. They were responsible for repairing termite damaged wood, patching, and priming the areas. Their man did a less than satisfactory job in every way. We were not happy with his work at all.
I immediately reported the problems to their office and eventually spoke with the owner who assured me that they would take care of it, and they did. They insisted that they would make it right and do whatever was needed.
Most companies can have a problem now and then, but it is how they resolve those problems that separate the good from the bad. For that, I give Prime Exterminators credit for good customer service and an honest desire to do the right thing.

Here’s our story:
Purchased a new home. The Section one damage report said subterranean and drywood termites. 3 out of the 4 took a quick look around and said the house needs extensive extermination and quoted me for subterranean and drywood termites. Then comes Prime Exterminators, the inspector came in and looked around for almost 20 mintues even went into the crawl space underneath the house. He told us these are old dry subterranean tracks and that we only need one type of extermination. He even took us around the home to show us.
Loved their service. From beginning to end they were great.
Don’t use anyone else. They are the best in the area.

Prime Exterminators and their subcontractor recently fumigated several buildings at my condominium complex. I think they did a great job and would highly recommend them. The crew that fumigated our property were punctual, polite, accommodating (we had one family who required help repackaging quite a bit of food and these folks helped them out), and methodical in their approach to «tenting» and fumigation. I was at a nearby neighbors house and watched these guys knock out 99% of the tenting project. I was literally mesmerized by this team of acrobats and how deftly they ply their craft. They were very gentle with our buildings, causing no obvious damage, and they left the property the way they found it –clean-​. We did have some dead leaves that appeared after they were gone. Our landscaper said some dead leaves were to be expected and will fill back in.
These folks are 100%. I’ve seen it up close and personal.

We were having issues with a special table we ordered from a vendor. Our beautiful large dining table was made out of mango wood and after a year of being in our house small pin holes and sawdust started appearing in the base of the table. I attempted to call four different exterminators. Only Prime Exterminators was willing to come out and evaluate our situation. The other three stated they only specialized in large structure evaluations.
Prime Exterminator sent out a wonderful representative (who might be the owner). He was very informative and promised to send us a cost estimate to have the table treated for powder post beetles. The cost estimate came in a timely fashion and was very detailed. Using the cost estimate we were able to negotiate with the vendor a solution regarding the table. Though in the end we were not able to use Prime Exterminator since the vendor decided to send us a new table to replace the table we currently have.
I can say confidently that Customer Service, communication and thorough investigation is definitely a plus for Prime Exterminators. I will call them again if I need further assistance.
