Juniper Spring Photography is phenomenal.
I had a good feeling about Liza from the moment I first met her and parted ways last week (after our wedding) feeling even better about her!
Liza is professional, poised, funny, and crazy talented! So many wedding photographers do the cliché wedding portraits, same set up for each one «now make a silly face» kind of thing, but not Liza! She waits for those silly moments, those sappy moments, those happy, sentimental, heartfelt moments, to just happen… and when they do, she is ready! Of course she did all the family photos we wanted as well, and of course those were amazing too… but we hired her for her innate gift of capturing moments through her camera lens.
Liza has an incredible eye for not just taking a portrait, but for making it into a piece of art. The colors she captures and the ways in which she frames her shots, makes her work more than just wedding photos! She does an amazing job of incorporating natural light and the beauty of the environment into the photos. I really feel like we are walking away with art that belongs in a gallery.
Liza is easy to work with and made my husband and I (who are both kind of awkward and bashful) feel comfortable.
Included in our package was an engagement shoot, the wedding day (with a second shooter), a photo book (designed by Liza) and some prints. The whole thing was a great deal and I liked doing our engagement and wedding photos with the same person.
I highly recommend Juniper Spring if you want something exceptional and above and beyond of the stereotypical wedding photography.

This women just KNOWS what she is doing!!! My fiancé and I met with Liza for an outdoor engagement photo session. Not only did the photos turn out beautifully, but she was professional and fun to work with. We enjoyed working with her and hopefully we get a chance to work with her again soon. I met Liza (pronounced «Leeza») at a wedding expo where I was bound and determined to find a photographer. I think I interviewed five or six wedding photographers that day and there was something about Liza where we just seemed to click, so I went with my gut and hired her. That was one of the best wedding-​related decisions I made. Both at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day, Liza was organized, competent, and flexible. She was on time, and fully prepared to do her job. She has a detailed and extremely useful questionnaire. She dealt with the weird lighting issues in my venue, and my case of wedding-​related decision fatigue. She didn’t bat an eye when I changed my mind at the last second and decided I did want getting ready photos. There were no surprises from her. For this reason, she’s worth her weight in gold.
The pictures came about six weeks after the wedding and I couldn’t be more pleased with them. During the wedding reception, we were only vaguely aware that she was there and yet she managed to capture some truly beautiful moments.
When the wedding is all over, all you’ll really have left to remember the day are a few mementos and the pictures (and your spouse, of course). As soon as I met Liza, I knew our pictures were in good hands. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Liza has taken pictures of our family on 3 different occasions over the last 3 years. We love working with her because she’s understanding, flexible and her photos are amazing! She navigates the different personalities, ages and types of people in our family incredibly well. Our kids are young and can be very tricky to photograph, but she manages to produce amazing pictures each time. We’re thankful for everything she does for us and highly recommend her to anyone!

We just got our complete set of wedding photos and they are beautiful. Liza gets five stars just for that, but then again I would probably give a lot of photographers five stars for their work. What I learned about wedding planning is this: YOU NEED RELIABLE VENDORS. People that do not put in hidden costs. People that respond to emails very fast. People that are early to meetings. People that make your wedding planning and wedding day as stress free as possible. That is what you get with Liza.
I had paid for one photographer instead of two and she quoted me a very reasonable price. When I finalized the wedding date and told her it will be a day wedding, she let me know that the sun will cast harsher shadows during the day so she was going to bring an assistant to help her with lighting AT NO EXTRA COST. She has a thorough questionnaire to ensure that all your preferences are met, and she was very courteous during the wedding. And above all else: She has an incredible email response rate. After experiencing the havoc that is wedding planning, this is hands down the most important quality of a vendor. SERIOUSLY. Liza is great, ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would pick her again.

Liza is so sweet, personable and professional. When we first met her at our Engagement shoot she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We immediately got along and that made shooting so much easier. She spent as much time as she needed on the shoot in order to get the best shots.
Regarding our wedding, she arrived earlier than expected and was able to get shots of all of the ladies getting ready. Her work is beautiful and she was able to edit our wedding photos in a timely manner.
I recommend gathering a list of photos you would like to take and give it to her in advance. That way you won’t look back and wish you would have taken that special photo with your great-​aunt ;-) We gave her a list, and she took every photo on it. We gave her suggestions about what kind of photos we wanted to take so if you are the type of person who is full of ideas she will work with you on that. Also, if you use her co-​photographers, be VERY specific in what you want.
We plan to use her for future family (baby ;-) photos.

It seems like these days everyone knows someone who’s a wedding photographer. My wife and I contemplated going that route – I am glad we did not!
Liza is a consummate professional. She delivers what she says she will, when she says she will. She works hard and is highly organized, which was a necessary trait for all of our wedding vendors. She was communicative and thorough. She managed our expectations and helped us make realistic estimates about the amount of time it would take to get the shots we desired. Her work is outstanding! We have great memories of our wedding and great photos to go along with them. She is an obviously competent and experienced photographer, but she also is an excellent person. She made us feel comfortable and helped us to get the shots we wanted.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your wedding, look no further. Make sure to book early, she definitely seemed to be busy during wedding season!

I really like Liza and her work. I was planning a wedding in CA from East Coast with help of my mother-​in-​law. But I wanted to chose photographer myself. I found Liza either through Unilocal or reference from venue. I looked at her website and really liked her style. I felt like she catches a beauty of the moment so you can feel happiness and love through the pictures. I looked through a lot of portfolios, and I really liked what Liza had to offer. I also was very satisfied with the price. We «met» in skype since we couldn’t meet in person. I liked Liza from the first conversation, and I also discovered that she speaks Russian just like me (in case it would be helpful for anybody).
Liza was very flexible — she met with us for the wedding rehearsal, even though we had to reschedule it in last moment because of the officiant’s schedule. She arrived earlier to check out the venue and find places for nice photos, and she stayed for part of rehearsal. Liza is very friendly and has a great sense of humor which made us very comfortable to work with her. Her assistant was very nice too (I think her name was Jill, just to give some credit). Photos were ready as we expected and they came out really nice. I love them!!! Kind of like pictures from magazine. I am so grateful to Liza for her amazing job.
When she sent flash drive with pictures I expected to receive regular flash drive, but instead we received «a piece of art». She put her thoughts in everything she does and it makes her work outstanding. I am looking forward to moving to CA in next couple of years and have some more work with Liza. Maybe some art photos, or maybe «welcome baby» photo session:)

I’ll start out my review by saying that I was seriously considering not having a photographer at my wedding. I was going to hunt down those disposable cameras and have one for each guest (it was a small wedding) and use those pictures. I’ve been in and attended so many weddings where the photographer was always either in the way trying to get that «candid» shot or whisking the bride and groom away for posed shots. My in-​laws convinced me to get photographer (by paying) and I was lucky enough to find Liza. I am so happy I did. Liza is not only incredibly talented, she genuinely loves weddings and cares about capturing those precious moments for you. She is flexible and sweet and kind and generous and all together a wonderful person who you will be glad to be working with. Every wedding will have its mishaps and mix-​ups. Liza will not be one of them. She guides you through each photo if you are awkward (like me) and don’t know what to do with your hands and your face as soon as a camera goes up, but she lets you run the show if you are comfortable and know what you’re doing. She is honest and gentle and knows how to make you look like you aren’t having a massive stomach cramp and a headache. On the day of our wedding Liza was somehow everywhere and nowhere. When we wanted to take a more posed shot with friends or family we don’t get to see often, she was there. I had plenty of time to have fun and spend time with my guests and somehow, magically, there are gorgeous pictures of those moments and I don’t remember her taking the picture. She did it all! Liza is incredible. I can’t find enough complimentary adjectives with which to describe her. I would take along with me to Chicago to capture every moment of my otherwise mundane life, if I could.

Liza took the most spectacular engagement photos for us. She brought out the best in both of us and really took great advantage of the elements that were available at our location. We even made her climb up a gully to a waterfall and she was great about it!

Liza has a very artistic, creative eye and captured some great moments of our newborn daughter, Sophie. she was patient and listened to our requests and provided us with the perfect pics for our ‘baby announcements!’. although her specialty is weddings, I’d recommend juniper spring photography for any memorable occassion, ceremony, milestone, etc. great stuff!

I may be biased because she is one of my good friends, but I am glad that she was there to photograph my wedding. She even ran around to go buy me some floss! She did our engagement photos which turned out fabulous! We used some of these pictures to put on display at our wedding.
She had a long day 9am-​10pm with a crazy wedding. She was there the whole time along with her assistant for the day, Hawk. Hawk was an amazing 2^nd shooter. He made us feel comfortable and helped us to have fun. Liza kept me very calm and did not have us do too many awkward poses. This could be because it was starting to rain so we didn’t get the family pictures that would have been nice, but we were able to get shots of that at the tea ceremony.
I can’t wait to see the pictures she took of us. She is going to start to offer sample books (the really nice ones that are edited, formatted into a book). We are definitely going to be getting one of these.
Liza is a great person to work with and her photo style is more of what I was looking for which is candid pictures and not posed. I think these are the best type of photos.
I would recommend her to anyone and I can’t wait when her pictures show up in magazines and websites :)

Wow ! Wow ! Wow… and I guess I can keep writing this word over and over… and still wouldn’t be close in explaining as to how I feel seeing the wedding photographs which Liza has clicked for us.
Everytime I see the photographs of my wedding — I realize what a stupendous job she has done with the snaps. I got my wedding snaps back from Liza after 3 weeks and looking them I almost got drifted backin time, how lively and how real they were … I could even feel the presence of fog on Embarcadero or smell the food all over again. The photos just took me back in time and I relished all those moments again. Cant tell you enough how marvelous, incredible and splendid are the snaps, I think I can only feel it but may be cant express :-) so I would leave at that.
For sure the photographs which Liza has clicked would be our memory for the lifetime and I have no doubt that every single time (in coming N years) whenever I would look at the snaps I would tell myself how lucky I was to have Liza as my photographer.
I know how stressfull it can be to look and select a wedding photographer, but if you really want to capture your most special day and cherish it forever — Liza is the best person !!!
