We recently used Nick’s crew to trim an ancient black walnut tree of dead branches, trim off and lighten up some heavy branches of a very over grown shrub, and thin and trim another full grown tree. The trees look much better than they did. He seems very knowable about trees and was here directing his crew the whole time. They were quick, thorough, and did a great job cleaning up. His price was very reasonable. We will definitely be using him again.

I’ve been using A-​1 Tree Service for a number of years and have found these guys the best at what they do. They even stand back and look at the shape of a tree and see what’s the best branches to trim. Clean up is swift and neat. I’ll keep using them and i do recommend them 100%.

I called around for a few quotes and Don was by far the most reasonable quote. I mean, he was literally a third of the price of Ali’s tree.
The tree was trimmed very well and the yard was clean.
I’m keeping Don’s number for the next time around and I’ll definitely be recommending him to friends and family.

Oh, yea, Nick is a wonderful person and his crew did an exceptional job. The trimmed my giant Live Oak tree in backyard and two nasty Holly trees, a wild Black Walnut, a wild something growing up against my foundation and some bushes removed, and they topped a large orange tree, all taken care, cleaned up and removed properly.
I’m installing solar panels next month and A-​1 Tree Service will probably be out on a regular basis to keep the oak from providing shade over my solar panels.

Called A-​1 Tree Service for an estimate to prune several trees in my yard. Nick arrived on time and gave me an excellent bid. His crew arrived on time and completed the work to my satisfaction. The trees look amazing and all the debris were removed from the yard. I authorized Nick and his crew to chip all the materials and leave in piles in the street for the yard waste pick-​up. Highly recommend Nick and his crew.

What a great experience! We decided to switch tree service companies after we had a horrible experience with another company. We are so glad we did, this is a reputable company and the owner Nick and his brother are kind are caring people! Highly highly recommend these guys! Extremely reasonable price, trustworthy, and caring individuals. You can tell Nick (the owner treats his employees with respect, it shows in the work they do!

Emailed them on Saturday regarding a quote that we wanted for tree trimming. They called us Sunday to schedule the appointment for Monday from 10−11am. I was at the house waiting for them from 9 – 12 on Monday just in case they were running early/​behind. They never showed up. They didn’t bother to give us a courtesy call to let us know if they were running late or if they were not going to show up, period. Completely unprofessional.

When you see a company that has a 5 star rating on Unilocal,that usually means that they are top-​notch. That principle holds true again. Nick from A-​1 Tree Service did a great job with my tree trimming and was very professional throughout. He followed my directions exactly and his team did a great job. He even whittled me a pencil holder from part of the tree that they trimmed!

A-​1 Tree Service Rocks! Nick was great — came over on a Saturday to give me a free estimate — then we scheduled a time for them to come out. They were on time, and his crew did a great job, leaving our backyard looking great. His price was very fair as well.

Nick Lucgjonaj from A-​1 gave me a free estimate to trim two large palm trees on my property. One is a Canary Island palm about 30+ feet high and the other is a Mexican fan palm about 60+ feet high. His price was quite reasonable and much lower than another estimate I received. The A-​1 team did a great job of trimming the trees to my complete satisfaction. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up and they carted away all the cut fronds. In the past. other tree trimmers would leave all the fronds on the street for removal by the weekly sanitation workers, leaving me the job of sweeping up the mess they inevitably would leave behind. I liked the fact that A-​1 did the whole job, leaving my property in the same condition as before they came.
I will be using A-​1 again in the future and I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs their trees trimmed.

This is a review about the bid process only. I have a large redwood that needs to be taken down. This guy calls me to let me know he is waiting for me at my house with out even setting up an appointment. I basically had to stop everything I was working just to see him. When I get back and took him out to look at the tree he asked me how much i have been quoted from others. I answered him and the guy rudely just walked off on me. Way to waste my time.

Nick and his team did a great job! I had him come over to trim a 50 ft camphor tree in my backyard, and he came back with a great competitive quote and quick scheduling.
He then looked around my yard and cleaned up a few other trimming issues which I had, and most importantly, he was quick to return my calls, came on time and finished quickly and cleaned up 100% before they left.
I’ll definitely be calling Nick anytime I need tree service, and recommend him for any tree service!

Nick and his team did a great job removing 2 large palm trees and 2 fig trees. When they were done, the yard and curb were completely clean. When neighbors returned home at the end of the day they would never have known we had work done except that the trees were gone. Nick was very courteous and thanked us for our business.

Nick from A-​1 came out to give me a free estimate and was very helpful. He was personable, knowledgeable and he gave me what I think is a very good price on shaping and pruning two large trees. What i liked was that he wasn’t pushy to make a sale or anything, he just answered my questions and left.
Update:
I hired them to prune 2 medium size trees, One orange tree and another lager tree with large white flowers, all for less than $ 400. They did a good job and hauled away a trash can full of oranges. After a good 9 months the trees look great and oranges are sweet!
Almost forgot, they went above and beyond by helping prune some smaller trees and even removing a stump and filling the hole with concrete. No extra charge, they just wanted to help! I will definitely call Nick again for any tree services. Great Honest Guy.
