Whether you are already a self proclaimed artist or someone who believes they do not have an artistic bone in their body. Then this is for you! the social palette creates an environment where you and the group you are with explore the joys of acrylic while having a good time in the comfort of your own environment.

We set– up everything you and your friends need to create your own acrylic masterpiece. Our professional artist come to your home with tables, chairs, easels and art supplies to set up an in home art party experience. All you have to do is select a painting (from the «Choose your painting» tab on this website) for you and your friends to create and enjoy your art party!

I got my friends involved by throwing «art parties.» Even my most hesitant friends were quickly hooked. I learned that many people avoid art for fear of not having any talent, but with a little guidance and a fun environment they can overcame their fear and begin to truly enjoy art. I believe there is no such thing as someone who is not artistic. Every person has a unique view on life and a unique artistic vision.

While I developed my artistic sensibilities I continued to work and serve my community, mostly within non-​profit organizations, camps, school and afterschool programs. My work was fulfilling, but my heart still lay with art. I was searching for a way to satisfy my love for art and community.

Early in 2011, during an art date with a friend, I realized that we were both tired of the typical parties and the typical entertainment scene. We wanted to go to an «art party.» The idea for The Social Palette was born.

I am a frequent Unilocal user, but have never been motivated to actually join and write a review of my own until I found The Social Palette and Angelina! She was incredible and my painting birthday party was amazing!
A little background — although I am not much of a TV-​watcher, I’ve been a loyal follower of the Real Housewives of Orange County since their debut. As I tell people, I basically get all my social event ideas from them: ziplining in Mexico, mud running, and then, most recently, a painting party! I decided that it was what wanted to do for my 30-​something birthday, and after a little digging found Angelina and the Social Palette.
From beginning to end, Angelina could not have been more responsive, friendly, and thoroughly delightful to work with. I wanted a painting (high heel of course!) that was not on her website, so she worked with me to create the perfect painting for my party. I was even able to request a smaller canvas that better suited the painting she created for my event.
The night of the party (which was at my apartment) Angelina arrived promptly and set up quickly and efficiently. (I swear, I looked away for a second and suddenly she had everything set up for my 18 guests!) Throughout the party, she was funny, enthusiastic, and VERY patient with all of us novice painters who were easily distracted by food and more importantly, wine!
The paintings were so much fun to make and were all so cute! Angelina was great about giving guidance where needed, but letting people have the freedom to customize their creations. She even had all the guests sign a painting with birthday wishes for me at the end — so sweet!
All in all, I can honestly say that Angelina was outstanding. Several of my friends commented afterwards that it was the most fun (and different!) birthday party they’d ever been to. I’m just sad that the night is over, but I loved it so much that I’m thinking of a painting party again for my next birthday!

This is such a great idea! The event runner is super friendly and makes the event fun! She makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves and helps when needed. It is a pressure free event! I had so much fun and the painting really turned out way better than I ever expected. Would definitely recommend for a night of fun!

The Social Palette is the perfect (stay at home) social event ! Angelina was a great instructor who coached us to believe that ‘everyone is an artist’, and we were! She also did an awesome job setting up, bringing all the materials (including paint and glitter), and cleaning up. She was also very sweet and encouraging during the painting process.
The paintings on her website that you choose from, are easy enough that everyone can follow the instruction to paint them. I was pleasantly surprised at how well each one of the painting from our group turned out! I want to do another party soon! This would also make a cool corporate team builing type of event (she said she can do parties of up to 14 ppl).

My friends and I found the Social Palette via LivingSocial or Groupon and we’re glad we did. The business is run by a young woman named Angelina who comes to your house/​apartment with everything you could possibly need to host your very own painting party including tables, chairs, canvases, easels, acrylic paints, wipes and instructions for all! Before the party we went on her website to choose the picture we were all going to paint. Her address is in Novato but she services the San Francisco and South Bay area too. There were 6 of us and she went at a good pace to accommodate us all. During our painting party she would give us instructions and come over to see our progress. I think the whole event was about 3 hours and we got to leave with our masterpiece. It was a fun and unique experience!
