History
Established in 1990.
I acquired my license at the encouragement of my first employer, Bright Winn, founder of Bright Plumbing in San Francisco, for whom I worked 11 years. I went on to work 8 years for Mike Lipsey, owner of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, while serving a small but growing Daystar clientele as well.
The closing of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing in 2000 was the impetus to operate Daystar Plumbing full-time, continuing to serve Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties as I had with Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, and to continue warranty work with Kohler Co., Bosch/AquaStar, and others.
I am grateful to both men for the invaluable experience and insight I gained from them.
I brought my fully-stocked Daystar van to serve Mike’s clients, easily swapping magnetic signs for the two businesses as needed.
I continue on very friendly terms with them, Bright and Mike, and former fellow employees of those, sadly now closed, businesses.

Business Owner
I began doing plumbing for a neighbor, Bright Winn, of Bright Plumbing, in 1982 after returning to the Bay Area from teaching English in Japan for 2 ½ years.
I care very deeply about environmental issues, and have made several trips with a group to lobby Congress, the White House and the World Bank regarding forest conservation and the environment at my own expense.
I am a choir member at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in San Anselmo.
I read «Scientific American», Scientific American Mind”, «Science News», and «Parabola» cover to cover each issue.
