A wonderful photographer from start to finish. He came up to our area, an hour drive, to meet with us before the event. This type of convenience is rare, and I truly appreciated it. He was not pushy with us signing the contract, which we did just a few weeks before our wedding, and worked with us to find a package thing we could do without breaking our budget.
The day-​of he arrived a bit early, and left a bit late. He made my husband and I feel comfortable, and also was kind to our family, friends, and guests. We went off the list for whom we wanted in the photos, and he worked with it smoothly. He also was very familler with the venue, Hakone Gardens, which was awesome. Hakone is a large venue, and it was nice to have the pornographer guide us rather than be confused with where to shoot.
I had issues with my dress, and he helped with positioning it. Brides to be, practice walking around with your dress beforehand. I sure didn’t!
My mom had to push me into getting a photographer, since it’s one of the larger expenses, and I’m so glad I did. More like, we’re so glad we did. My husband and I look like models or something! It’s so cool. A year ago I was looking at the book Hakone presented us of others who had they photography/​wedding/​etc done at the venue and I never thought we could match it. But, these photos look like they can go right alongside. I might even send some to the venue.
Seriously… so happy. If we had to recommend someone, we’d recommend him. It was worth every penny.

I hired KI Photography for my wedding at Hakone Gardens on 2÷23÷2014. I am very impressed with the pictures. Kristian is truly talented and professional. He arrived at the location early, and even stayed a bit longer than the duration we hired him for, to make sure he had all the shots he wanted. The pictures were received in a timely manner and were AMAZING! I can tell that he was very passionate about his craft and is very artistic. I highly recommend him.

KI Photography was recommended by my wedding coordinator. I feel so lucky that I invited Kristian as our photographer.
First of all, he is the most dedicated photographer I have ever met. He talked about tons of details about our wedding with us before wedding. On the big day, although the coverage started at 12:30pm according to our contract, he arrived in early than that. You cannot image how many lovely photos he took every minutes. The most amazing part is all of them are well designed and surprised amazing!
I liked his natural style. This is one of the reasons that I chose KI Photography. He’s not like a director; instead he know the best time the best location to capture best pictures. To be honest, I’m always nervous in front of camera. But Kristian knew how to make me forget I’m in front of a camera. Before wedding, I told Kristian that I hope he could capture some sweet moments between me and my mother. He did it very well! Those photos are my mother’s treasures now.
On the day we received the DVD, we looked at them again and again for the whole evening. Our family and friends praised the outstanding work warmly. Thanks again, Kristian!

My wife and I used KI Photography for our wedding and Kristian was absolutely amazing. We can’t even put into words how much we love our wedding photos. Kristian worked with us for two days, over two wedding ceremonies, and was absolutely amazing for both of them. We chose our first location because of the vistas and various backgrounds we could get in our shots and were not at all disappointed. Kristian is incredibly patient and talented and he ensured we felt comfortable and had a great time throughout. We rode into San Francisco and took pictures around the city and he was incredible at recommending locations and helping us get to them and arranging ourselves into these dramatic, beautiful pictures. For us, it’s incredible it’s even pictures of us (we’re two average people and yet these pictures look like they belong in a magazine).
Again, the Bay Area has a plethora of photographers and it can be tough to choose one, but Kristian and his team standout from the crowd. They make taking your wedding photos a joyful occasion and are incredible good at going with the flow of an otherwise pretty stressful day.
My wife was emphatic about some of the photo combinations that we wanted and he got every combination, and looking at the photos makes us remember all the joyful parts of our wedding weekend.

Hands down to Kristian. 3 of my cousins recommended Kristian for my engagement photos and I absolutely IN LOVE with our photos. Kristian was really flexible when he was shooting our engagement photos. We were only suppose to have 2 hours of his time and we exceeded the time limit. Note to self, never take engagement photos when it’s a long holiday weekend! That’s what happened to us, we booked the Sunday of Memorial day weekend and there was a lot of stuff going on in San Francisco. But needless to say, I love Kristian’s work.
I am estatic that we’re using Kristian for our wedding pictures. I can’t wait for our big day to happen and see how our photos turn out!

We unequivocally recommend Kristian! Not only is he professional and talented at his craft, but he is very easygoing, kind, and personable. From the beginning, he made everything so straightforward and simple. We were so grateful to know that we could count on him to take care of this aspect of our big day… once we signed on with him, we both breathed a sigh of relief because we knew he would have it all under control. When the day itself arrived, he was so subtle and skillful in capturing shots, we forgot he was there! After the ceremony he demonstrated poise and patience in working in our compressed time frame to get all the requisite shots of the wedding party and the entire extended family.
All this is to say: even before we got our pictures back we were pleased with Kristian and we enjoyed working with him. But ohhh… when those pictures came back, and we saw all of the radiant, euphoric, ridiculously beautiful moments he had captured, we were both close to tears. We were stunned to see the FEELING of our day so perfectly expressed. All of the subtle glances, facial expressions, sweet moments… there they were. We were so grateful to have these tangible mementos of that over-​the-​moon, once-​in-​a-​lifetime day. We hadn’t originally planned on having a professional photographer, but once we saw these pictures, we couldn’t have been happier with the choice we made. It was worth every penny.
And we love that our picture has been the homepage of his website for a while now! That is one of our all-​time favorite shots, that stupid-​happy moment right after we were pronounced husband and wife. It has flattered and delighted us to be the welcoming image of KI Photography (even though we know he’ll probably *eventually* change the homepage image to let someone else have a turn and all…).

We found Kristian on a very short list of recommendations/​preferred vendors from our ceremony venue– Hakone Garden. It was definitely a bonus that he knew the venue and where the good locations were. I had briefly polled a few other photographers, but they were all more expensive, more business like– as another person posted– just another wedding, cranking out photos. Not to mention that from the start we liked the photos on the web page, so why keep looking elsewhere? Kristian definitely takes his time with each client and job, and it shows, exactly as other people have said. He gets great shots because he wants to.
We put him in a tricky situation, we only had a 2 hour slot at the gardens, which offers a lot of scenery options, plus my parents were keen on having pictures of each family as their experience is that those pictures tend to end up on the wall at home. This meant though that there were a ton of pictures to take in little time, plus we added a cake/​champagne after our ceremony which also took away from his time to get the bride/​groom and party or other pictures that are sort of the must haves. It has to be hard to navigate between taking up too much time, and having clients that are upset that they don’t have all the pictures they wanted. For us, it was a good balance, or else it was properly erred on the side of too many photos. At the end of the day, we felt we ran around the garden taking pictures, got married in 10 minutes, ate a bite of cake, then took some more photos, then left. On the flip side, we have hundreds of great shots, of which he ‘touched up’ about 50. Since my wife is Romanian none of her family or friends were able or allowed to attend, so the photos are the primary way they experienced out wedding. So we’re glad to have lots of pictures opposed to too few.
To add to other reviewers– he was early to the venue to get shots of us walking in, and stayed through the end. He was very personable to work with and captured some terrific moments. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend him to a friend. Funny though, contrary to another reviewer, as a more artistic person, I would have been ok with a few more ‘artsy’ shots and a few fewer portraits.
A general word of advice, which has nothing to do with Kristian– never rely solely on your photographer, always have other people taking photos, candids, or even a photo of you getting your photo taken, it’s all part of the experience!

He knows when and how to capture the right moments. I love that he’s very personable and professional too. During our first meeting, we watched a DVD of just his photos and I swear… we started tearing because he captured so many great moments! He also has very incredible shots that my friend and I kept talking about.
The day of the engagement shoot and wedding, Kristian did an amazing job! I swear I didn’t even see him during the ceremony. It rained on our wedding day but he definitely knew when to pull us away when the rain let up! He directed us to the right spots and captured great umbrella photos as well as others.

I’m not going to say much on Kristian’s work as it pretty much speaks for itself. You basically like his fashion based style of photography or you don’t.
What I will speak on and why we chose Kristian over other wedding photographers is…
…creative style. He was like a ninja darting in, out, and around all sorts of people and objects to get different shots. His work is Wow and his rate wasn’t compared to similarly tiered photographers. The «talent/​eye for pics» is what you pay for when when it comes to selecting any photog.
…his experience. He’s shot plenty of weddings but not to the point where he’s jaded and just going through the motions doing ANOTHER wedding. He «perked» up when detailed photography questions came up, just like how I perk up whenever I talk about food. He’s truly inspired by his craft. (

We got married 3 years ago at the San Jose City Hall Rotunda. Kristian did an outstanding job, on our engagement photos as well as our wedding. People that see our photos tell us they wish they had known about Kristian when they had gotten married because he did such a phenomenal job. He caught all the things we asked him to and more! We really wanted a lot of candid shots, shots of little details that we’d overlook because we were so excited that day, some artistic shots and we also loved his style. Our good friends that had had their engagement photos done by Kristian hooked us into his work.
My husband is very picky (as am I) and has a much better eye than I do as far as photography goes and he loved Kristian’s work before and after our wedding.
He was very easy to work with, had a very professional studio of his work and also worked with our budget.
We decided that photos were more important than the video, so we splurged going with Kristian, but it was worth every penny!
He does have a high fashion background, which I think he brings into his work, which is a definite plus.
Several of our friends, after they saw his work on our wedding, booked him as well… we were glad that they would have as beautiful a book of memories as we did of our special day.

Kristian Iskander and his assistant photographer, Robbie, did an AMAZING job capturing the most important moments to the tiniest detail throughout our entire wedding day. When we received the DVD of all the pictures taken, we were so surprised at how great every single picture turned out. Somehow, Kristian and Robbie were there to capture moments we didn’t even know happened! From the time we booked KI Photography a year before our wedding, until the time we received our pictures 3 weeks after our wedding, we have had no complaints whatsoever.
Photography is such an important aspect of any wedding or special event, we have really appreciated the dedication and expertise KI Photography offered to us on our wedding day. The pictures are absolutely priceless, and we look forward to sharing with all our family and friends for many, many years!

I got very lucky with choosing a wedding photographer. Kristian and his co photographer were some of the nicest people I worked with for the wedding. He was prompt, courteous and gave us high resolution photos within a week so we could add it into our next wedding reception in LA.
The only only complaint (so small) is that he took a lot of pictures at an angle. ther than that, Kristian is really an awesome and very technically talented photographer. He even used an infrared lense for one of my photos.

There are so many things that people say are important about your wedding day, it gets obnoxious. However, my trustworthy college roommate said the one thing she would do-​over was to make sure her pictures were of higher quality. After having survived the wedding planning process, I’m glad I listened to her.
I really was set on a photojournalistic style with a sprinkling of portraits to satisfy family. Kristian superseded my expectations. He captured the most elegant and touching moments of the night that I know I’ll cherish forever. Several people have told me they are the best wedding pictures they have ever seen. Others have told me they look like they’re straight out of a magazine. Maybe they’re just being nice, but regardless of what they’re saying, I couldn’t be more pleased with them.

Kristian and his team were great. They were flexible for our pre wedding meetings and great at keeping in touch. When youre planning a wedding, it gets a bit hectic maintaining all your vendors, but Kristian was on top of it and even sent us a Christmas card! During the wedding, I didnt’ even notice them but they were still able to get shots throughout the day.
What I appreciated the most was he was all about getting shots. We went everywhere and tried all sorts of different things, so when we got all the shots back, we had plenty to choose from! Best of all, we got to keep the master dvds of all images taken that day. We had a bridal party of 16 and I thought it would be difficult to have good compositions with that many people, but he really did a good job setting us up for the shots.
We’ve received numerous praise for the photos and were quite happy with the Kristian’s work.

I love Kristian’s work and he was easy to work with. I had Kristian for my wedding in April. He is very subtle and has an artistic eye to find perfect shots. Many of the pictures I like, I had no idea when he took them.
His work on his website is a pretty good indication of the product you will be receiving. He gives you the master CD with everything after he is done touching up some of the pictures. His pricing is pretty competitive for the level of his work.

Kristian is a great photographer and was super easy to work with. He took two goofy people and made us look good. I was so excited when I got see the pictures online (as well as when I received the master dvd). There was just so many pictures that I absolutely loved! (I was a little apprehensive that all the pictures would look as awkward as I felt while taking the pictures… as I don’t really like being in front of a camera.) But they came out BEAUTIFUL, thanks to Kristian!!!
On the day of the wedding Kristian and Gabriel were super professional, they even scoped out a picturesque spot by the water that would be good for pictures before he reported for duty… but we didn’t end up going there since we were running short on time. (–_​-​) He was on top of it when we had to change plans en route.
It was really fun working with Kristian and Gabriel… they were super cool and even took some Photoboof! pictures with us after a long day’s work! They helped make our wedding day a memorable one and I can’t wait to see the photos from the wedding.

Kristian was great. He was on top of getting all the right photos we want and with all the right people. Him and his assitant were like ninja’s, they would just magically appear when they were needed out of nowhere. I really enjoyed working with Kristian, he was great. Very easy to work with, showed up on time, etc.
I can’t wait to get the photos back. Will update after we receive photos.

After a painful search of finding affordable quality wedding photographers, we were happy to book with Kristian. Most photographers of his caliber were charging double the rate! People weren’t kidding when they said that wedding vendors really stick it to you on prices. Not only is Kristian offering his services at a competitive rate, but he has a great artistic eye. We’ve only done our engagement session so far, but I was happy with the outcome. The only thing I might want to change is that there were a lot of artistic beautiful shots, but not a lot of portrait like shots. I’m going to make sure to mention that for the wedding day photo session.
