Oran is AMAZING! He spent HOURS with me picking out dresses for an upcoming wedding I am attending. He is thoughtful, patient, and has a great eye for finding flattering dresses for all different body types. The prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely be back!

I went shopping here for my wedding dress today and was soo impressed by Oran and his customer service. He spent over an hour helping me try on gowns, custom styling me, etc. made me feel very comfortable. i can tell you it was WAY better than any experience I have had in any bridal shops!!! and so much more fun. i am from southern ca and the selection here for vintage bridal was way better than anything i have seen at other stores and very fairly priced! HIGHLY recommend and ask for Oran! he is the best!

This place is honestly incredible. All of the pieces are so beautiful, and feel like new. The owner is also incredibly knowledgable about everything in the store, and a total pleasure every time I come in! He knows everything about everything. I’ve bought several dresses here for various occasions, and get rave reviews on them every time. Also– for such beautiful vintage clothes, this place is very well priced. I’ll be coming back here to find something for every special occasion. :)

Oren is so incredible. He spent an hour with me, giving me dresses and outfits to try on. And not in a pushy way. One way to know if a shop owner knows their stuff is if they look at you and immediately know what will fit you. Oren does that.
He gave me so many gorgeous 30s & 40s dresses to try on and was willing to knock off $$ if I bought more than one.
Compared to LA vintage clothing prices, Relic is an AMAZING deal. Also, he sells vintage minks & stoles for so little!
I plan on visiting his booth when he comes to the LA vintage expo. Thank you Oren!!!

I think this place made me fall in love with vintage again. I wandered in for earrings for a wedding, but found myself immersed in a museum where you can try it all on! The man working was extremely helpful, and clearly passionate and very knowledgable. Next time I’d like to dedicate more time and come play dress up!

The best vintage store in the Bay Area. All items are handpicked in mint condition. The prices are incredible, having recently moved to New York I can appreciate this. The same 1940’s dress I bought at Relic Vintage ($ 80) would be $ 300+ at the cheapest vintage store in NYC. I always make an effort to come here when I’m home. Love this place!!!

This is a fantastic store. It is a bit on the expensive side compared to some other stores but it is not a thrift store and the quality I think speaks for itself. I have purchased numerous items from this store and they have all been excellent. It is a really nice store inside and the changing rooms are a treat, worthwhile to go in and try something on just to experience this place (chain stores take note you are terrible).

This is the most amazing store! Oren has impeccable taste and creates a spectacular shopping experience. He quickly identified my style and what pieces would fit me. I loved the whole experience — it made me feel like I was playing dress up :)

I wanted a wedding dress but I didn’t want it to just look like every other dress ever. So I went looking in the vintage stores on Haight. As soon as I walked in this place I knew I was onto a winner. Oran seemed as excited as I was to find me a dress and immediately started pulling things out for me to look at.
I ended up with a beautiful blue 1950s style two-​piece, that I LOVE. The bonus is that with a blue wedding dress, I get to wear it forever, not just for a day. Yay! Once that was picked out, Oran then helped me to get the whole look just right, finding me an petticoat to poof the skirt out a bit, and a bodice to fill out the top. I am so so happy with how it looked in the end, and at $ 90 I’d say that was a STEAL. Thank you Oran and Relic, I’m a happy customer!

Love it! I’ve only ever been here twice while browsing on Haight. I really admire the quality selection available. Good, well made vintage clothes. It kind of has that musky «vintage» smell but I wouldn’t mind that. It adds to the atmosphere of this cute little shop. The second time I visited I found this beautiful dress. I didn’t really have an occasion to wear it for but I simply couldn’t leave without it. I tried it on and it fitted like a glove. The man was super helpful in zipping it up and good advice. He told me the story behind it and all without being too pushy. It’s great to find lovely, one-​off beautiful pieces like this!

Ok, I know Oran from the rockabilly greaser scene here in the Bay Area and consider him a good friend and an amazing DJ. That said, he’s also very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to assist and to help you find just what you’re looking for, whether he’s just had you walk in the store or know you for years. Never pushy, always polite, if you are new to the vintage scene, or an old timer looking for something you don’t find in other stores, go see Oran, you’ll be glad you did. Also, Like most of us in this scene, Oran knows we are not made of money, his prices reflect it and his love of all things vintage make him a pleasure to talk to and learn from.
Plus he’s also one of the kindest, most honest people I know.

This is a small store compared to some of the other vintage shops nearby, but the merchandise is great. The dresses really caught my eye. They have some fantastic accessories — I saw a lovely fur stole, various width ties, and funky glasses that I weren’t sure could handle my terrible prescription. Prices were good, moderate. The sales staff pretty much ignored my friend and me. Maybe it was obvious we were browsing only, but it wouldn’t hurt to greet customers.

This is my favorite vintage store in San Francisco. They have amazing finds: high quality, beautiful craftsmanship, interesting, but pared down variety. And they’re the right price. Other vintage stores on Haight are OVERPRICED, but this place is fair and you feel good giving your money to them. Beautifully curated store with friendly staff.

Reiterating what several others have said — the owner is amazing at finding what will look good on you, if you want help. (I’ve been there twice and think he is a doll. The reviewer who wrote that he was pushy etc, must be thinking of someone else, or is nuts. The guy is gentle and soft-​spoken in his suggestions, and was fine at leaving you alone if you didn’t want his help.) Loved the pleasant dressing room. Attention to detail is also reflected in how clean and well cared-​for the clothes are. For instance, he noticed a missing button, found it in the pocket, and sewed it on right on the spot while I was getting ready to pay for my purchases.
While this isn’t the browser’s market some of the larger stores are, I will be coming back here first, again and again, to see what choice, reasonably-​priced, better items the owner has in.

Oran, the owner of Relic Vintage is probably the most knowledgeable person I have ever met in the vintage industry. This means a lot considering when I was planning my vintage themed wedding I was scouring every vintage store in SF for the right pieces. With Oran, I could always count his expert advice, and the end result was fantastic.
His store may be new, but his experience is vast and every time I come into Relic Vintage I always find something to get excited about.
Last, and probably most important, his prices are very reasonable for the care and quality of the clothing he sells. A lot of vintage stores are not this fair, they over-​price everything and often there are major problems with the garments that they don’t even let you know about.

A really lovely store and a great shopping experience! The owner is a true aficionado himself… and wears choice vintage every day, plays great tunes in the store and drives a very cool 50s Pontiac. He managed another wonderful Haight Street Store for years and I always enjoyed buying things from Oran Scott… and its a pleasure to see how he has created a «class act» of his own. Large comfortable dressing rooms, tasty displays, and a feeling that everything is hand picked and kind of special.
I have soooo much vintage already that I always feel I dont need anything more… but in a shop like Relic? Who can resist?

I like my vintage stores bursting with quirky T-​shirts and those random gems below ten dollars. Old seventies tees and fix me ups isn’t Relic’s style. Relic is all about those finely chosen pieces that will make you glow for days. From stunning 50’s and 60’s frocks, to fitted suits and Letterman sweaters for guys. Relic is the spot for true vintage lovers who cherish in sporting one of a kind beautifully made articles of clothing.
I’ve never bought something here, but I do like stopping in to browse their taffeta and silk lined dressed. Perfect for flaunting curves and hitting the town.

Oran has established the best vintage offerings on Haight Street.
He makes shopping for vintage clothing appealing in his boutique-​like setting. There’s no stuffiness or sense that these clothes, and their temporary home, are meant for grandma.
Newcomers to vintage should start here and there’s really no need to go anywhere else. My friend tried on several dresses, many of them picked by Oran, and all fit her well. She purchased a terrific cocktail dress that hadn’t even made it to the floor yet.
I purchased a wonderful jersey-​like dress. Super comfortable and Oran shared that it’s made by Luis Estevez, a Cuban born designer.
I later learned that Estevez was the youngest designer to win the Coty awards in 1956.
I love wearing vintage clothing and often I’m sporting ‘found items’ like a Butte Knit suit of my mom’s, or a dress with bold flowers of my aunt’s.
I look forward to future shopping experiences at Relic and bringing another vintage piece into a very modern world.
