History

Established in 2011.

Photobox is a division of Knight Lights Photography, established in 2004. We specialize in weddings and event photography with onsite printing. Our latest creation is a photobooth that stands out above the rest. Founder Corbett Lee designed and constructed his photobooth by hand. This is not a franchise business that anyone can buy and operate. Corbett’s product is of professional and studio quality. We took the best of everything that makes a photography studio unique and special and made it fun and affordable for all. There are no other photobooths like ours and none as fast as ours. We are photographers and photojournalists by trade, and we know our technology and what really works. Everything is customizable and can be tailored to your specific needs. Let us know what you would like!

Knight Lights is a fully insured legitimate photography business, a certified Local Business Enterprise of San Francisco & a certified Minority Business Enterprise in the City and County.

Meet the Business Owner

Corbett L.

Business Owner

Corbett Lee has been a professional photographer since 2004 with a degree in Photojounalism from San Francisco State University. While at a convention for the Asian American Journalists Association, Corbett was presented with the option of working for newspapers, or working for himself. With advice and a 30 minute phone call from mentor, Acey Harper, Corbett decided to venture on his own as a business.

Fast forward to 2011. The economy was failing, Corbett was averaging around 8 – 9 weddings a year, but was dropping from that number to 6 to 3 and then 2. His mother ultimately told him, «Do something, or get a REAL job.» With that, Corbett took all of his studio equipment, skills that he learned in Boy Scouts and Electric shop class in middle school, wrapped around with the knowledge of photography, and built his own fully functional photobooth by hand. 2011, Optimus was built. In 2012, a new upgraded model was built, named Magnus, and today in 2013, Grimlock was built.
