History

Established in 2013.

Heather dedicated much of her developmental years in Thailand to practicing massage and exploring the role of intuition and empathy when performing bodywork after she realized she had a natural passion for making people feel better through touch.

She established her private massage practice, Salus Massage and Bodywork, in San Francisco after obtaining her massage therapy certificate in September of 2013. To earn her title as a massage therapist and health educator, she completed over 900 hours of education in kinesiology and anatomy, and hands-on training.

The name ‘Salus’ is Latin for health and well being, and solidly reflects the mission of this practice — to provide clients with the means to feel like the best possible version of themselves at any given stage in their lives.
