Craig Ackerman

Author, fall 2015 book: SF Change Agent — Creative Ways to Transform & Market San Francisco Homes

History

Established in 2003.

But actually, as far back as childhood, I learned how to create value by restoring homes and apartment buildings. I worked side by side with my father, who owned many properties.

After living in Asia and selling interior furnishings to Fortune 500 clients for 11 years, I moved back to the U.S. and began purchasing dilapidated homes to make over.

As I interviewed 3 top-rated agents to sell one of my remodeled homes, it dawned on me that I could do a better job than any of them. So I started Ackerman Realty Group and sold that home in less than a week, with 5 offers, for $ 151,000 over the asking price.

Since then, my company has advised homeowners, investors, attorneys & CPAs who are buying or selling their own or clients’ homes. Although tactful, we take pride in being forthright and honest, because candor is what ultimately helps our clients.

Meet the Business Owner

Craig A.

Business Owner

As a seasoned licensed contractor, I enjoy sizing up homes & homing in on improvements where marginal costs and marginal benefits intersect.

I’ve built a profitable business by going beyond the ‘traditional brokerage model’ to provide a complete array of related services. Managing the entire process helps achieve our clients’ goal: the highest return in the shortest time.

When I established the commercial business for Milliken & Co. in Asia in the late ‘80s, I developed skills with large comm’l. projects and learned to unify culturally diverse teams around a common goal, which I still use today.

I’ve created personal relationships with the finest business professionals in San Francisco, who help us refine & market homes in a cost-effective, results-oriented manner.

I’ve chosen not to advertise my company like corporate brokerages do. Instead, I’ve been privileged to grow via referrals by happy Ackerman clients.

To me, unique mktg. strategies & nimble execution are key to success.
