ZPizza catered a commercial shoot. I was acting in that shoot. The food was AWESOME! We had three or four different kinds of pizza, ceasar salad, and humus plates. It was all fantastic. I’ll be eating there again.

second time trying these guys. They are nice people and all but both times pizza severely under-cooked. One part of the pizza was extremely doughy on the top??? Veggie toppings just have no flavor. Only thing I like about this place is the organic aspect but other than that its just downright not so good pizza. I would like to order from here all day erry day if they at least fully cooked the pizza. Also asked for extra sauce… um… its like they did the opposite. I got the california veggie and added pepperoni. Only thing that had taste was the pepperoni. I also got the spicy lime chicken breast sando… and also ordered up some extra chicken since I’m on a protein fean phase but the sandwhich looked like it was split up between the lime chicken and the grilled chicken most def not double chicken!!! :(I wanted lots n lots of chicken… dont skimp when I pay for extra chicken!!! I might… might give these peeps one more shot. Don’t F it up!!!

I ordered a California Veggie the menu said that the veggies were roasted and they aren’t it seems as if they were placed on there right before the pizza was done cooking. Almost raw like. I wanted to take it back but I honestly hate doing that unless there’s something seriously wrong with the food.

So my boyfriend and I ate here for the first time about a week ago because we were actually just trying to kill some time and grab a quick bite while we waited for our dogs to be groomed around the corner. I wanted a salad and pizza so I went for their lunch deal. I wouldn’t recommend slices of pizza, they’re not too fresh. I got a Caesar salad and added avocado. Omg the Caesar here was the best. Those croutons! My boyfriend got a small pizza half with an arugula(they were out of spinach), onions, bacon and mushrooms w/a white sauce and the other half was a garlic chicken also w/a white sauce. The FRESH pizza is SOOOOOGOOD. I literally crave Z Pizza all the time. Good service and GREAT pizza!

I was so impressed with the customer service at this location tonight! I placed an online order that needed clarification. Alfonso called me twice to try and verify the order but I was at work and unable to answer. When I called him back he told me the pizza was already out for delivery. Unfortunately, my order was not filled out the way I had intended — it was my fault. Alfonso corrected the order for me and had yet another pizza sent out to me, despite my error and in record time! The pizza was great! You can really tell how fresh the ingredients are. The Tuscan was yummy:) Thank you again for such wonderful service!

This is now my favorite pizza place since my former favorite moved away from vegan. I placed an online carryout order and paid ahead of time. My order was a little unusual because the pizza I ordered comes with vegan«cheese» by default, but I don’t like cheeselike products of any kind on pizza so I left it off. They called me about half an hour before my order was due(when you order you can select what time you want it for) just to make sure I really wanted it that way. I arrived a few minutes after the due time and the pizza was ready; as I’d already paid, literally all I had to do was pick it up and it was oh, so good. :9 I usually don’t give 5-star ratings because I feel there’s always room for improvement, but for me this place exceeded expectations. You may have a different experience and that’s fine. The service was good, maybe partly because the place was practically deserted, but I was there at 3:00pm so I’m sure it’s more crowded at peak hours.

The most amazing pizza ever. You can really taste the quality of their ingredients. The staff is always really friendly as well. LOVE this place!

The Mexican Pizza is amazing… I mean, whoever thought to put salsa, sour cream and avocado on a pizza is a GENIUS. The restaurant is clean, the staff is courteous and the ingredients are fresh. Definitely a family favorite!

Working and taking graduate classes at USD has provided ample opportunity to get zpizza delivered for events and classes. Online ordering is fairly simple, but you can also call. I recently came here for lunch with friends during a weekend class. My favorite pizza is the greek pizza. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options here. The large is perfect to share with 3 people and is about $ 20 with tax. There is indoor and outdoor seating and Ballast Point and Stone beer available by the bottle. Staff is friendly and there are also lunch specials. Pizza is available by the slice, but choices are somewhat limited. Since zpizza is located by a Starbucks, Subway, and other shops, parking can get tricky during peek hours. You’ll always find parking, you just might by closer to the trolley than the stores.

Nice clean place, courteous staff, pretty decent selection of beer. Pizza is not sooo good. I ordered pizza by the slice and there were only 3 to choose from. I had the tomato and garlic slice, it was cold and they didn’t warm it up. I was completely shocked when she handed my slices to me right out of this spinning thing it was on. Who does that? Hahahaha, maybe if it was heated up it would have been a higher ranking.

When I walked in today for lunch, I was met with a very strange stony silence from the older man at the counter, who abruptly stopped his conversation with a fellow employee and moved up to the register to stare at me while I looked at the menu. He didn’t ask me if I’d been there before(I hadn’t), if I had any questions about the menu(I did), or even bother to acknowledge my presence with, you know, speaking words. I ordered without incident and took a seat in the empty restaurant and slowly began to notice the horrible, awful, top 40 radio… but it was hot outside and I wanted to eat inside, so ’twas a necessary evil. I decided on a small mushroom pizza which, according to the menu, was made with three different kinds of mushrooms including cremini(yummm) and truffle oil. The pizza looked quite appetizing and delicious and was very visually pleasing, and it was obviously made fresh just for me because it was HOT! But as I took my first bite, I found that the pizza was utterly… SWEET!(like«oh no sugary!» not«duuude sweeet!») The MASSIVE amounts of caramelized onions on the pizza made it entirely too sweet(sweet pizza?! yuck!) and I slowly began to pick the onions off partially and then had to abandon them entirely for the second half of the pizza in order to discern some sort of mushroom flavor. Upon rending the onions from my saturated pizza, I hoped I’d get some more mushroom flavor, but the mushrooms were utterly tasteless. Either there were only 2 different kinds(you run out, guys?) or the mushrooms had not been cut that morning and had therefore lost their flavors in the walk-in, because the pizza didn’t really taste like mushrooms at all. The whole thing had a very bizarre lack of flavor, despite the presence of various cheeses. To top off this bizarre experience, the man at the counter cheerfully greeted 3 other guests who came and went, chatting like a friendly cashier should do. What’s wrong with me, huh, zpizza man? Couldn’t spare a «How’s it going?» or «What can I get for you today?» but you can talk off the ear of everyone else that comes in the door? Also, if you’re going to discuss who’s giving money to what terrorist groups like a conspiracy theorist, I recommend you do it out of earshot of the customers because it’s only slightly more upsetting than your awful radio. One star for good pricing, one star for obvious cleanliness in the restaurant. Minus one star for terrible music, minus one for caramelized onion disaster zone, and minus one for my oddly silent cashier. I intend on trying this place again because I think it has potential, but I hope against hope that someone else takes care of me.

I will never eat at zpizza again. I was eating a Berkeley vegan pizza from Zpizza today when I discovered they used moldy Daiya cheese. The artichoke hearts on it also looked very questionable. I am so disappointed in them and will not be coming back!

Have been in a few times. The staff were super friendly today compared to the other 2 times I’ve been in. Giving 5 stars because the potential is there for great customer service. The pizza is great and I get to enjoy one of my favorite beers while enjoying the pizza. Keep up the good work and being more friendly.

I am always super excited for organic and gmo free options, so when I had the chance to order pizza from here I jumped on it. After 2 hours of waiting for delivery(ugh) our pizzas came and were unfortunately cold. However, zpizza was so nice when I called and they offered to make it up to us. Their customer service definitely earned an extra star. The pizza itself is really tasty. A nice chewy crust and flavorful toppings. My family was a huge fan of the tomato sauce on the pizzas and the mexican pizza was really unique and our favorite. Looking forward to ordering again in the future.

Tuscan Mushroom pizza slice was pretty good. This pizza place makes a rather good pizza. I love that this is healthy(kinda lol) pizza –well, compared to others– Like the Tuscan Mushroom slice I had. It has a very light garlic sauce for the base. I do like the taste, it’s mild and not too, too cloying & has a tad of sweetness to it, but not too much, which is a nice change from the norm. Hard to describe. Fresh, maybe. My slice had caramelized mushrooms and onions(mmmm), along with feta cheese crumbles, with their garlic sauce base. I would’ve liked it more if there had been more feta cheese on my slice. The pizza was a little dry cause it was already made but I was in a hurry that day and just wanted ‘something’, so I didn’t mind the nice young guy asking if he could heat up my slice. It heated up fine in the stone oven and it was better. At least it was very hot. And tasty. My only complaint was it was a little dry, but I did just buy a slice like I sometimes used to do at Costco. And it seems to be a somewhat healthier option than a full on Italian pizza. Tonight, we had the Napoli, which we’ve wanted to try for awhile, so we ordered a whole pie. It starts with that same garlic sauce for the base, then had mozzarella cheese, sliced(really fresh) tomatoes, and basil. It was really delicious, and it couldn’t have been a better choice.

Decided I needed to fulfill my craving for pizza… and being that I’m lactose intolerant… pizza doesn’t always sit well with me. I found out this place has a vegan option with lots of veggies… and non-dairy cheese! This was perfect! The small is huge! Enough for two people… maybe three depending on how hungry you are. The veggies were piled on and it was absolutely tasty! I did appreciate that they let me add other ingredients to my pizza… so I added black olives and sausage. Yum! While it didn’t really hit the exact spot when it comes to pizza… it definitely satisfied my pizza craving for the time being.

I’ve only ordered from this zpizza once – and it was a take-out order at that – for a lunch meeting. Though I did not get to eat my pizza fresh in the restaurant, I still very much enjoyed my selection. zpizza prides itself on using fresh ingredients for its entrees and serves up gourmet, thin-crust pizzas. Here’s what I got this time at zpizza, but there are lots of menu options to choose from for future visits: «Tuscan Mushroom»: I normally don’t like mushrooms, but these savory, chewy ‘shrooms complemented this pizza quite well. It included thyme, truffle oil, feta cheese, caramelized onions, roasted garlic sauce, mushroom mix and mozzarella. I ordered my pizza sans the caramelized onions, and I chose this one because it featured creamy garlic sauce instead of the typical tomato or marinara. Plus, this pizza contained some of my favorite savory ingredients like Feta and truffle oil(truffle oil on pizza or fries is always a plus). I liked the creamy garlic spread on here, but the garlic flavor itself wasn’t overwhelming. And, of course, the cheesy medley was on point and the mushroom mix added welcomed texture to my pizza. «ZBQ Chicken»: I love all things BBQ, so I can’t wait to taste this BBQ pizza in the future. It comes with BBQ chicken, corn, cilantro, BBQ sauce, tomatoes, roasted peppers, mozzarella and red onions. I would make a few modifications to my pizza – no tomatoes or red onions for me – but even without these ingredients, I still think my pizza would embody the traditional BBQ flavors. I especially look forward to trying the sweet-yet-tangy BBQ sauce. «Provence»: This was the other pizza I had contemplated ordering for our lunch meeting, but I decided to save it for my next visit to zpizza(where I can hopefully dine in-house). This option contains artichoke hearts, mozzarella, tomato sauce, tomatoes, capers, roasted garlic sauce and basil. I would probably just get this pie sans tomato sauce and tomatoes, but everything else – such as those capers and artichoke hearts – sound delightful. I’m especially excited to try this pizza because of the capers; I love having capers on my salmon or in my pasta, so I’m sure I would love this pizza creation. «Napoli»: If I’m in the mood for a more traditional pizza, this is the one I would go for because it contains the basic ingredients that I’d want on my pizza(with the exception of those tomatoes). It features Parmesan scheese, mozzarella, basil and roasted garlic sauce. Bonus points because this pizza doesn’t contain tomato sauce, only the roasted garlic cream sauce that I prefer. «Casablanca»: White pizza at any pizza location is usually my go-to, so I had contemplated ordering this option as well from zpizza. It sounds delicious because it’s cheese-heavy, so I’ll have to try it in the near future. This pizza comes topped with Parmesan cheese, roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, button mushrooms and ricotta cheese. Again, though I normally don’t go for mushrooms, I would probably make the exception on this pizza since I actually enjoyed the chewy mushrooms that came on my «Tuscan Mushroom» pizza. «zCarnivore»: If I’m in the mood for a meatier pizza, this pie provides the perfect solution. It comes topped with housemade marinara, all-natural pepperoni, ham, fennel sausage, smoked bacon and fresh oregano. I normally don’t go for meat-heavy options that include steak or beef, but I like the sound of this pizza because it features some of my favorite meats — namely, bacon and sausage. «Greek»: I do enjoy a good Greek salad from time to time, so I’m sure I would enjoy this pizza selection as well. It includes red onions, oregano, tomatoes, feta cheese, greek olives and mozzarella. I would order this pizza sans red onions and tomatoes, but I love the added savory taste from strong Feta cheese and oregano. «Meat Calzone»: Once in a while, I’ll get a craving for a calzone, so I’d be down to try the zpizza one at some point. This option includes Italian sausage, ricotta cheese and marinara … simple and not too crazy, just the way I prefer my calzones(more typical and with fewer ingredients). «Chicken Penne Pesto»: Though I would probably order a pizza if I’m getting a meal from zpizza, this pasta dish sounds yummy if I ever decide to deviate from those savory flatbread pies. This pasta is flavored with basil, salt, basil pesto, pine nuts, button mushrooms and grilled chicken. Just reading the description has me convinced that this pasta dish is to die for based on its basil and basil pesto(pesto is one of my favorite sauces/spreads). Definitely can’t wait to try this noodle dish someday.

THIN. CRUST. PIZZA. Yum. You can choose a slice from what’s already out or you can just order a totally new one and just wait for a little while. They have a lot of topping options as well as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free options. This comes in handy when you’re next to a private school. They also have sandwich and salad options. You can also choose to do a drink combo. They have a few tables inside but most people rake theirs togo I think. Its down the street from school and easy to find. It’s right next to the Starbucks on linda vista, across from a 7 – 11 and us bank near USD. I don’t know if they still accept campus cash though. Parking as you know is ridiculous around peak hours so prepare to circle around a couple time to check this place out.

Pizza Pizza!!! Now I’m not a big fan of their sandwiches or salads, but I really like their pizzas so this review will reflect that. They have vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options. You can also order a Take-N-Bake and make it at home. My hubby likes the BBQ chicken and I like the Greek, so we usually do a half/half(see photo attached the review). We also really liked the buffalo chicken pizza too, but it’s not on the menu anymore :( The only way I can describe the service is that it’s good in a «hey dude» kinda way. Their use of fresh ingredients, some which are organic, is what sets them apart from other pizza joints and why we continue to go back. The crust(available in regular non-GMO, wheat, or gluten free for an additional $ 3) isn’t too thick or thin – just right, in my opinion – and has a good light crunch with a floury flavor. Although we usually go pick it up at the store, their delivery is very fast. The price is a little higher than most franchise pizza places – $ 17.50 plus tax for an large 14″ but they have coupons if you join zTribe From the website: As a zTribe member, you’ll receive exclusive money-saving offers, learn about exciting new menu items, and even get a nice gift on your birthday. It’s our way of thanking you for appreciating the difference between ordinary food and pizza. If you join, you receive $ 5 off any order of $ 20 or more. Not bad…

I stopped in Zpizza for lunch figuring they would have some sort of lunch specials, and they did. For $ 7.95 I was able to get 2 slices of pizza and a side salad, but unfortunately it did not come with a drink. As a lunch special, I think it should. I chose the Margarita and Tuscan Mushroom slices with the Greek Salad.( ) The Margarita was descent. The thin crust was good, but the flavor of the overall slice was very mellow. I think it needed more ingredients i.e., basil and garlic.( ) The Tuscan Mushroom was much better. Although the caramelized onions and feta were placed sparingly, the flavor was very good.( ) It also came with mozzarella and a touch of thyme. The crust on this slice was also thin and tasted good. The Greek salad was very simple with a modest amount of feta and fresh tomatoes and onions, but what really disappointed me was the wilted greens they aloud to be place in the salad.( ) This is a big no no for most people. I picked them out of the salad, and I hope they correct this. I was going to give them a 2 star rating, but since the pizza was good, I decided to give them 3 stars or perhaps 2.5 stars. The customers service was alright. Also, I think they need to brew ice tea… I like it.
