Heavenly Nails and Spa

I get pedicures here regularly. They need to learn to shut the door and use the AC. I go elsewhere when it’s over 70. (In Mission Hills– they use their AC!)
Some could be more gentle, but it lasts.

Do not bother scheduling appointment. There was backup and they took walk ins ahead of people with appointments. It was a 45 minute wait after scheduled time.
The pedicure itself was excellent. It is unfortunate that it started out so poorly.

It’s almost close to the worst nail salon in San Diego. I had been here once before and it was alright not the best, but when I came back for a second visit I was extremely disappointed. The selection of nail polishes is large but they are mostly old and appear to have been watered down with acetone. When I asked for the selection of gel nail colors they plopped down two large baskets on my lap filled with the polishes; normally a salon will have color swatches on a wheel to look at. Also the cleanliness of this establish is very subpar, they don’t properly clean the foot soaker and don’t put plastic bags around it like regular nail salons do. When I left the salon I felt cheated… they had me in and out of that salon so fast they practically were shoving me out the door, so there was no time to tell them I wanted things corrected. When I left, the bottom of my feet were pealing and my nails still have lotion all over them and my cuticles were a wreck… for $ 65 I don’t think so… avoid this place with all cost.

I always go to this place and I love it! Kayla is the best! She gave me a pedicure and she was very gentle with my feet. The paraffin pedicure is my favorite. It’s a bit pricey depending on what you but worth it in my opinion. Parking is kinda a hassle though.

I’ve been here twice. The wait is usually long if you don’t make an appointment ahead of time, but that is expected. The staff is very friendly but they’re also super busy. I don’t mind the wait, but I have gotten gel French tips done here twice, and both occasions my nails did not last through the week. :(My last visit was Sunday (March 6). It’s Thursday today and the gel has lifted to the point where I should just peel it off myself.

My boyfriend and I went in for Pedicures and were both very satisfied. He doesn’t get Pedicures on the regular or ever really and the lady that did his feet was able to get a majority of the grossness off his feet. I like the plaza the salon is located, easy to get in and out of.

They do an ok job, and it’s terribly overpriced. Got a gel mani and regular pedicure and was shocked when they said $ 58, and they had only done a mediocre job, I kept having to correct the manicurist on what I meant by file my nails to be square, not oval. Overall only went here because it was close but from now on will go somewhere else.

I walked in around 9:30 hoping there wouldn’t be a long wait, and I was lucky there was one spa chair left. I saw this place on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try while I was in the area. I was seated right away and two people worked on my mani/​pedi. This was great since I knew it would be quicker. The massage chair worked well, the equipment was sanitized and sealed, and the ladies who helped me were pleasant and politely talked to me. I was really happy with the service and my nails looked clean and perfect! I would go back here if I was in the area. Unfortunately, I don’t live close by.

Good service, went in for a French gel mani paid $ 40 for it, which is the most I’ve ever paid for one, but that’s fine I should’ve gone in knowing.
The girl asked me why my tips were yellow and I told her it had been 3 weeks since I had them done so they were getting old anyway and I had just played fooseball that day so some of the black handle rubbed off.
So to my surprise my tips started turning yellow only 3DAYS after this mani. I’m disappointed that this was more on the expensive side for a gel manicure and it only lasted 3 days.

The massaging spa chair is nice, +1 star. It’s not clear how they sanitized the utensils. Didn’t see them disinfect the pedi spa. Very rushed and lousy nail paint job. Many spots with smeared paint. The French tips were $ 5 extra, on top of $ 23 spa pedi. The paint didn’t dry completely before being rushed out the door. I will not be returning.

The salon is nice. In a nice little area. I came in here for a quick mani & pedi. I got a spa pedicure and gel manicure. The women who worked on me did an ok job. I do feel the prices are a bit expensive. I am writing only a week later and I have to say I probably won’t ever spend the $ 35 for the gel manicure. It’s already lifting and my pinkie nail already fell all the way off. If you pay close attention, you can see the streaky look of the polish.
Other than that, it’s a nice environment and the ladies were friendly. I just feel for the price you pay it should be better quality.

Literally just left this place and had to write a review. I wish I had read the reviews before going!!! Where do I start???
******SERVICE****** The actual service and competency of the nail techs was mediocre. Not horrible, but no where near great. The fingernails of the girl who was doing my pedicure kept scraping my foot while she was doing the massage. Not exactly relaxing. The message part of the «manicure» took about 2 minutes and did t even include neck or shoulders. I scraped the bottom of the palm of my hand, so the nail tech wasn’t supposed to be touching it. But of course she kept forgetting. I actually didn’t want a manicure for that reason, but apparently I had no choice. Total for both = $ 85 before tip. Not worth it.
******CLEANLINESS****** Ok, what the ever-​living f^%#??? I witnessed them putting a new person at a foot spa after someone else just got up without cleaning it. Gross. The wax they used on my feet came from the actual wax tub itself– with the cord attached and everything. OMG WTF. Do you know how disgusting that is??? I don’t care if you just cleaned my feet before dipping them. Knowing other people’s feet have been dipped in that thing is f$%#ing NASTY.
******AMBIANCE/​ATMOSPHERE****** Did this place just open 2 days ago? Get your sh!+ together!!! The layout was ridiculous. They had nail polish for sale towards the front, and the nail polish you use towards the back. Idiots. Every person that walked in (including myself) thought the for-​sale polish is what we could choose from. Nope. No music on, nor did they have a television. One of the pedicure chairs didn’t work and they kept putting someone in it. No one knows what the heck is going on.
Save yourself some time and DO NOT GO HERE.

Made an appointment at 6pm. Came in. Waited patiently for 15 minutes only to have her tell me it would be another 20 minutes until I could be seen. I told her I had made an appointment. She said ‘I messed up.’ and went back to work on her client. She gave zero s*its. Rude. Not coming back.

Heavenly has been my go-​to nail salon for at least four or five years. It’s clean and bright and the gals who work there are kind and attentive. There have been a couple of occasions I’ve had to wait longer than I’d like (which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five), but having a longish wait two or three times over the course of 50+ visits isn’t a deal breaker for me. I chalk it up to Heavenly being popular, and for good reason.
Despite my previous bad experiences with gel manicures, Jennifer recently convinced me to give it another go and I am over-​the-​moon. I will be making an appointment with her each time I go to Heavenly in the future.
Pedicures are consistently good, no matter who I end up working with. Ask for ten minutes extra massage (you have to pay for it, but it’s worth it).

Worst gel manicure I’ve ever received. The lady took over an hour and a half. Instead of using a sterilized tool to scrape off my previous shellac nails, she used her own fingernails… There are many mistakes and bumps in my manicure. My pedicure is not too bad, but the nails are cut uneven. I also had to ask over 3 times for my water to be heated because it was cooler than room temperature.
I will not be returning and I am very disappointed to say I spent $ 58.

This review is for Maria for a shoulder massage. I am 8 months pregnant and suffering from terrible back and shoulder pain. I decided to take my chances on a last-​minute, inexpensive massage whole my friends got pedicures. OHMYGAWD! Maria has magic hands and really seems to care about the quality of the massage she’s giving. It was in the top two massages of my life and the other was from a very expensive, high-​end massage spa. Do yourself a favor and schedule a massage with Maria.

I have been looking for someone to do the coffin nails in San Diego for so long and I finally found a great girl! She took her time and made my nails perfect! If you want good acrylic nails go here to Kayla she is great and the owner tee is awesome too! So clean and fresh here

Had a mani-​pedi. The 2 ladies that performed the mani &pedi were very competent and skilled in doing nails and they look great. BUT they treated me like a number and didn’t even look at me the whole time. They chatted and giggled back and forth in Vietnamese and acted like I wasn’t there. I find it curious and rude and uncomfortable. How about English only. So we at least know what you’re talking about. And hello the client is there and would like to be treated like a person. I’m still looking for a nail salon that speaks English!

I’ve been coming here regularly (twice monthly) for several years, and wouldn’t go anywhere else because of Tee and Jenny.
A couple of the women are «green» and a little rough on occasion, but if you ask for Tee for any kind of fingernail work, or Jenny for a pedicure, you will definitely be happy.
I bring my niece in sometimes, and she loves to get her nails painted with cute designs on them, and get little «jewels» put in her toenails — they’re very good at it! My husband plays guitar, and Tee is expert at doing his «guitar nails.»
I have been having my nails done for decades, and never seen anyone do «fills» as fast and as competently as Tee. She is the owner of the salon, is very sweet, and has a great sense of humor when you get to know her.
Some of the other women are very shy, because of the language barrier, and won’t engage in much conversation with you because of that. Also, they tend to talk among themselves in Vietnamese quite a bit, which some might consider rude, but it’s just a cultural difference — not rude in their culture. Some will readily engage you if you start a conversation. You just have to find the ladies with whom you’re comfortable.
The place is clean, attractive, and comfortable (they just bought all new chairs and pedicure chairs.) They do waxes and massages as well.
You can tell, I’m a happy camper!

I visited a girlfriend in San Diego over the weekend and we decided to get our nails done. I have no complaints about the place other than the lady who did my manicure. This often happens to me because I have very thin shallow nail beds, if that’s what you call it, but she cut way too far into my cuticle on my pinky finger and it didn’t help that she was cutting my cuticle while talking to her coworker without looking down at my nails when cutting!!! Aghhh! It didn’t start bleeding right away but when she used alcohol to clean my nails before putting color on… Holy cow… Stung like a mother and then I saw the blood starting to seep out. I let her know I was in pain. She said sorry. She also used her long thumb nail to wipe off the excess color that would get on my skin around the nails. She would press down soooo hard on my skin around the nails, I had to tell her that hurt. She smiled and said sorry. And by the way, isn’t it kinda gross that she’s using her long thumbnail to wipe it off?
Anyway, so the rest of the day on Saturday, the cut on my pinky finger was bothering me. On Sunday, my cut was really hurting and the skin was red and swollen. Today is Monday and now the cut has started to scab. Posting a picture…
