Walks to Wags Dog Walking

Wags to Walks has been a huge help for providing our doggie with a mid day walk and pee break while we are at work! The owner is so friendly and has provided us with excellent dog walker matches. They are easy to communicate with and my dog loves his weekly walks! Thank you Wags to Walks:-)

Josh is the best. Extremely trustworthy, communicative, patient with your pet and answers calls and texts on short notice. On our introductory walk, an off-​leash dog ran up to my 9 lb. mini dachshund, Woody, and Josh immediately picked up Woody as a precaution. Josh is flexible and combines several home tasks into one «walk». I especially like that the arrival times vary somewhat every walk so my dog doesn’t get too expectant of a set time.
Prices are more than fair and I feel a big sense of gratitude on days that Woody gets to hang out with Josh! I highly recommend this service.

There are many local petsitting services available in SD, but I have had the best experiences with Walks to Wags. Josh is very reliable and takes great care of my dog and cat whenever I am out of town, even if it’s a last minute request. Very reasonable prices for great petsitting/​dogwalking services! I have recommended him to friends, and definitely recommend Walks to Wags to anyone looking for a trusted petsitter for their furry family members :)

Josh and his staff are amazing! Our dog was walked daily five days a week and the staff was reliable and responsible. Our dog was elderly and blind, and they were very professional in handling a special needs pet. They were gentle and kind with her, and she looked forward to her walks very much. We also used Walks to Wags for pet sitting. When our dog was younger, we took her with us because it is difficult to find a pet sitter or kennel for a blind dog. As she got older, travel was more difficult for her. We thought we would have to give up travel — until we found Josh! Walks to Wags took great care of her so we could travel. Josh introduced us to any walker who would be coming into our home in advance. He and his staff were very good about leaving notes regarding the time of the walk and whether she did her business or not. I highly recommend Walks to Wags for pet walking, pet sitting and pet boarding. Your pets will be very happy!

Josh is so amazing! I was in a bind yesterday and with just an hours notice he came to the girls rescue! And we love it that he has house sitting service too!

Our dog Wally gets walked by Josh, he is great really helpful and responsible. I’ve been having great experiences with their service. Josh is great with our dog Wally and is always receptive to any changes or additional things we need with the dog. Josh updates us regularly and is always very protective of Wally. I would definitely recommend Josh from Walks to Wags to any dog owner.

We hired Josh to walk our 3 dogs 3 times per week. For daily updates on the walks we asked him to jot a quick note in a notebook regarding what time he was there and any updates for us on the dogs. in the first 2 weeks there were a couple of instances where the time was a little off, notebook would say 12:15 but my husband would be there at 12:10 and Josh had already left but we wrote it off as a difference in clocks and decided that if it continued we would address it.
At the start of the third week, my husband and I were running errands to head out of town and we came home to find a dog walker we had never met, leaving our home. He said he was Josh’s business partner and that Josh had over booked clients that day. In our initial meeting with Josh he assured us that he was the only one who would walk our dogs and that we would have an opportunity to meet anyone before they walked our dogs.
I called Josh to address the fact that we had not met this individual and his only justification was that he had brought this person to our house before and they had met the dogs, which is not what we had agreed to. Josh did not seem to understand that we had entrusted him with access to our home and that bringing unknown people into someone else’s home is not acceptable. I asked Josh if there were other partners or if he was planning on hiring other employees any time soon and he said that he was not but that we would get to meet anyone in the future before they walked our dogs.
What ultimately lead us to firing Josh was that we realized that this individual had signed the log as «Josh». Looking through the notebook we noted at least 2 different, possibly 3 different, handwritings but all said «Josh» as the person who walked the dogs. Also, the day after the incident Josh called to schedule a time for us to meet a «new» employee. Based on the incident and timing I can only assume that this person had also been coming to walk our dogs but that Josh did not want to have us discover that.
After all of this we could no longer trust Josh with access to our home.

I’ve had great experiences with Walks to Wags! I found them when I needed last minute help, and that was no problem for them. Josh came over the same day, was great with my dog and got all the information about his schedule and picked up my key. This helped me so much as I was leaving town and it helped having someone I was comfortable with and had confidence in talking care of my pup. He even offered to text me pics of the little guy when he came to walk him :)
He offered to hang on to my key, so there is one less thing to worry about before trip. Finding this compony has has been great because now anytime I leave town for work, even on short notice, I just call up and I know there is someone trustworthy always available to look after my little guy when I’m away.

Josh has been wonderful called last min late in the evening, and he was able to meet me the following morning to do a meet and great, and started walking the dogs the very same day. One of My dogs was having bladder issues and I needed him to pick up another dog walking day again on short notice and he was able to make it work. He’s great if you need someone last min or if you have a consistence schedule. I very much recommend him, the dog’s love him and are so much happier that they get there extra walk. Oh and the price is amazing! Very reasonable!

This review is overdue! Josh has been waking our 3yr old rescue poodle mix four days a week for about a month (started about 4 days after we adopted her). He has been an absolute delight to work with, and it is worth noting, I am not an easy customer! Since Estie is my first dog and is a rescue, I am a total overprotective worry wart. Josh communicates promptly with me to ensure we are on schedule and keeps me posted on how Estie does each day (yes, he texts me after every walk to let me know how it went — I told you I wasn’t easy). He is also extremely flexible and very reliable — since both my husband and I work quite a bit, his being so accommodating is fantastic. And as if that all weren’t enough, he is nice, patient and clearly loves the pooches he walks with. And the feeling is mutual… Estie loves him too! We are lucky to have found Josh!

Josh is wonderful!!! I had a 2month old mix when I first met josh and I could tell instantly he loved dogs… he came highly recommended! I work random days and weird hours and often get my scheduled changed the day of and josh is always so flexible and accommodating. He replies within minutes to texts and is always able to work around my changing schedule! My pup maverick has had a few little issues and josh has even text me to check in on him the next day! While josh was with maverick one day I had a friend that needed to stop by quickly and she brought her puppy with her, without hesitation josh offered to play with her puppy while she did what she needed to do at my place.
So thankful that I have someone I can trust and rely on to take care of my boy!!!

We needed a pretty last minute walker for our two pups. Josh came out the following day for a quick meet and greet to get a feel of the pups. He was to walk them the following day. He was very receptive to the ‘routine’ I had my pups on and walked them down their usual route. He came to pick up his payment and the doggies were so happy to see him. That was a great sign for me. He also kept in touch throughout the day to give me updates on walks and how the pups handled it which gave me so much peace of mind. Definitely recommend and will continue to use his services

My name is Theo. I am a 6 mo. old maltipoo and I have known Josh since I was a baby puppy. My mom found Walks to Wags while doing an internet search and was very interested in their weekly packages. From the very first phone call, Josh has provided excellent customer service, is always prompt and professional in his responses, and most importantly, is flexible to accommodate any last minute needs. Not only is he professional, but he’s also fun! The highlight of my day is when Josh picks me up to play while my mom is at work!
When I was little, Josh even helped clean up my messes and let my mom know exactly what I had done that day. Walks to Wags is a big reason that I’m now 98% potty trained. The other 2% is just to keep my mom on her toes ;)
I love having my picture taken and Josh often posts pictures and videos of me on Instagram for my mom and her friends to see. He really knows my good side.

After my last dog walker left for a new job I was panicked to find a new dog walker for my little Lou. After meeting with several other dog walkers I was disappointed and convinced we wouldn’t be able to find someone to fit when I found Joshua and Walks to Wags on Craigslist of all places (I’m convinced CL is best place to find the real gems in life).
Right away he scheduled a meet and greet to come over to meet my partner and myself along with Louie (our dog) as well as our neighbor John and his dog Cora, who would be sharing the walk with Louie.
Not only did the girls fall instantly in love with him, Joshua was professional and asked all the right questions & gave all the right answers. Pricing wise it was very reasonable and although it’s a shorter time slot than the last walker we used, I haven’t noticed Louie act like she’s that upset about it.
For the roughly two months that Lou has been walking with him there’s been no issues and clear communication if there is ever a question about timing.
We are very thankful that we found Joshua for Lou-I’m pretty convinced that she is happier to see him than she is to see me at the end of the day!

I was so impressed with Nala’s (my dog) reaction when she met Josh. Seems normally not crazy about meeting people unless it’s in our home. She loved him. Unfortunately our experience was short lived only had Josh walk Nala for a few weeks but we have bumped into Josh after and Nala gets excited as a little kids get meeting their new best friend. I would totally recommend them and continue the daily walks if I could. Did I mention how affordable they were? Any way, if you’re looking for a dog walker, you can’t go wrong with these guys.

Amazing people! Last minute and always able to be there! Josh is always a phone call away! I’m so grateful for all the time. He not only takes my puppy gemma on walks. It’s a moment that my baby gets to learn more and get the love she deserves when I have to work. We text after every walk and he updates me on how well she was. Great prices too. So far cheapest I have found!

As a full time student with two jobs, I’m not always available to take my boy Rookie out for his walks. He is a beautiful yellow lab with lots and lots of energy, requiring attention and love. After searching for a several weeks I was referred to Walks to Wags. Although they are a new business, I am so happy to have given them a chance. Josh is professional and punctual but most importantly my boy is happy and eager for his walks. I am very pleased with the last few experiences and I would definitely recommend Walks to Walks to anyone who is seeking a trustworthy friendly company.

My dog, Sam, really needed to get out more and I just did not have enough time to do it myself. After setting up a meeting with Josh (one of their dog walkers), Sam was so excited for what was to come! Josh takes Sam on walks daily to the park. Sam loves him so much! Josh updates me with videos and photos showing me how much fun Sam is having, and, I’m not going to lie, I get a little jealous because I sort of think Sam is starting to like Josh more than me :(BUT, I love walks to wags and I would definitely recommend them to any body who feels they don’t have enough time to make their dog as happy as they can be! I’d also definitely recommend Josh! Sam just loves him so much!
