Express Floors To Go

Our experience buying carpet from Express Floors to Go was easy and rewarding. Ross was not only knowledgable about carpet fibers and features, but he did everything possible to get the carpet delivered and installed in a very short window of time. The installation crew did a great job. They were very careful, nothing dinged or marked, and no mess left behind. We would highly recommend this company.

This was my 2^nd time doing business with Express Floors To Go. First off what makes them the best choice in town is Mr. Ross. But please, do not take my word for it just stop-​in their showroom and meet him. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. After 3-​years he still remembered me and the even said, «Frank, I remember you. We put down the black pearl floors in you condo.» Recently I went in to get my kitchen a bathroom floors updated. I took 3 samples home and later figured out that the sample I chose were not the best match. So I call Ross and he said he knew the best color option considering he remembered what my place looked like. When he came to my condo to take measurements he brought his handpicked color and it was perfect. Basically ask him for his opinion because he knows what he’s doing. See the picture of the results. I went in to ask questions about vinyl and whether they knew of the chemical content of their products. They denied any knowledge of chemical exposure from vinyl and their attitude changed towards me from treating me like a customer to shrugging disregard and they actually turned away from me and went back to their desks. Also, they do not carry linoleum (they laughed at me when I asked) which is a green alternative to vinyl. Stay away from here unless you want to be taken seriously when asking a serious question. I’m afraid these men didn’t take me seriously. Even worse, I think they knew the issues about vinyl and chemical exposure but pretended not to, and didn’t respect me enough to have an adult conversation about it. When leaving I asked them to google vinyl chemical exposure. They were both staring at their computers by then anyway.

«PVC (or vinyl) flooring is the most common type of smooth flooring in the UK. PVC creates environmental hazards throughout its lifecycle, mostly because of its main constituent chlorine, which can lead to the creation of dioxin when it is manufactured, or burned in incinerators. Because PVC products are difficult to recycle they present a growing and costly waste problem.
PVC flooring also contains a number of additives in large quantities, some of which are also toxic. In particular, the softeners known as phthalates can leak out of PVC floors when they are washed or can be emitted into the air and attach to dust. Other hazardous additives used in PVC floors are chlorinated paraffins and tributyl tin. All of these are listed internationally as chemicals for priority action for elimination. There is some evidence that has linked phthalates in PVC flooring to the development of asthma, so although PVC is undoubtedly the cheapest smooth flooring, it should not be recommended as a suitable substitute for fitted carpets, particularly if there is concern about asthma or other allergies»

I rarely write a review but had to take the time to do so now. From the moment I went in and spoke to Ross through the fast and efficient installation from Sarkis, I felt like I was truly being cared for in the best way possible! I shared briefly with Ross of the coloring I had in mind for laminate flooring to cover my old hardwood and it was incredible how he just knew what I would like… I fell in love with the flooring right away. Just one week later and all was completed! What a difference it has made in my home! I would highly recommend this amazing knowledgeable caring team to anyone looking to improve their home!

Finally decided to treat the carpet out and put on hardwood floors. Went to some well known places Coles for one. Found they were lagging in all categories of information. I came across express floors by driving by, stopped on and was met by Ross, he was immediately a breath of fresh air compared to what I encountered in my previous encounters in other sites. I had my wife and daughter there and turned them over to Ross to ask questions and go over all things flooring. ROSS was great, they figured what was best for our needs. He gave us a half dozen samples to take home, we found what we wanted then I took over. I am a no nonsense kinda guy when it comes to purchasing stuff. Got a bottom line price, out the door price for materials and installation, great price with garantee. Installers were on time, had some hiccups, all jobs do, they took care of, on time, Sarkis, the installer, is a worker, awesome, floors are awesome, would use these guys again and would get my flooring nowhere else.

Daniell and the rest of the team were very helpful at spending time w/​us, coming out to our location w/​samples, and, having their installer give us the tech details on what all needed to happen for our floors to look great. Overall, a great crew.

But, please do not fall into the initial hype!
The manager was bouncing off the walls, ready to seal a deal immediately.
Unfortunately, I fell into his trap. He ran around my house and made incorrect measurements, which annoyed the chain-​smoking and cursing installation crew when they arrived. They had to order more material, and took over my home for over another week.
The chain smoking crew was curbed once I complained, so they smoked in a van, annoying more of my neighbors.
This was my new home, where everything worked properly!
After the job was done, there was a small leak in the dishwasher that blew the flooring up.
I sent the manager pics of all the damage, and he AGREED to replace the damage, he took full responsibility for the leak.
The same evening, the installation team entered my residense w/​o me answering the door and removed the flooring via a crowbar and black Hefty bag, under our same agreement with the manager. UN
The NEXT day, I was presented with a bill for over $ 700 to repair the previous nights agreement .
I repeatedly contacted Ross, to no avail.
It is fantastic to be a manager, but not one that is afraid of his own employees.
I considered filing a lawsuit against the company, but decided to take $ 200 out of my wallet for flooring, and have an honest tradesman take care of a small 60 sq ft of repair. A manager should NEVER fear his employees… because I feared them, which is not right in my book.
I put down my court filings and took a loss.

Just had a great experience with the people at Express Floors.
I’ve been looking for flooring for my business and was overwhelmed by the number of options and opinions people had.
I got quotes upwards of $ 6k and they all made me feel like the process would be gruesome and overwhelming.
This place got me out the door under $ 3k and I now feel like I know enough about flooring to make really informed decisions for future projects.
I hate being left in the dark on sales and these guys made everything incredibly transparent and they were down to earth thank god.
Ross was the reason I came in. He was helpful over the phone and not pushy. The owner sealed the deal once I was there. Really solid businessman and good prices.

Express Floors To Go just completed installation of my gorgeous new natural walnut engineered hardwood. They had a great selection to choose from, and Ross and Mark made were very friendly and helpful during the selection process, offering lots of information and advice. With a couple of weeks notice they were able to accommodate my installation schedule perfectly, and their installer, Sarkis did a wonderful job. He is truly a craftsman. I needed a custom baseboard solution and Sarkis took initiative to complete it beautifully. They completed the job in less than 3 days as promised. Overall, easy to award this business 5 stars.

We got hardwood, tile and carpet from Express Floors To Go. Ross helped us during selection and had great inputs. The installation took longer than we were promised because they brought wrong carpet — same color but inferior quality. So make sure you check all the materials before the installation. The store owner Mark gave us an option to pick any carpet we want without any extra charge and ordered express installation as an apology. Their prices are not the cheapest but they are doing pretty clean and professional work. If you are looking into flooring stop by their store and get some ideas from Ross.

I was searching around for reasonably priced flooring and found this shop. After many visits and quite a bit of comparison of colors/​grains/​etc… I made a decision. Michael helped me order all the cork/​underlayment/​glue necessary for a condo install. And he even walked me through some general installation basics… I installed the floors myself. He took the time to explain (in detail) exactly what I should look out for. Michael and his father both seem like really stand up guys who are running a quality/​honest business. I say this since I ran into the opposite during my search with some not so quality guys on Moreno Blvd, not mentioning names.
Go to Michael at Express Floors… he’ll make sure your project is a success as he did mine.

My husband and I are thrilled with our new floors. We just bought a 3500 sq ft house and had the old carpet replaced with brazilian cherry hardwood and new carpeting. Ross Anderson was a great salesman; he was very patient and accommodating. And, Sarkis and his son did an absolutely beautiful job with the hardwood. (They totally rocked!!) The best part was that they were done in 3 days, as promised. As such, we were able to move in right before Christmas. (Nobody believed our timeline. They delivered as promised.) The carpeters had inadvertantly left a 2×2 (tiny) area unfinished. We called Ross and he took care of it immediately. The workers came out the next day. All the craftsmen were great. Very clean, efficient, and skilled. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the products and service. We highly recommend.

This place has great customer service! I spent 2 days on getting the best price for good quality laminate flooring. I went to 5 different flooring companies (2 more if you count Home Depot and Lowes) getting quotes and learning about which laminate flooring to get. It came down to Carpeteria Flooring and Express Floors (on Clairemont Mesa Blvd) as far as price. My decision to go with Express floors was definitely on price but also service. When I went to the other companies, 3 of them made me feel like I was buying flooring from a USED CAR SALES MAN. Seriously! They haggle you and put you on the spot to make a deal now! I definitely didn’t want to be rushed and have buyers remorse. I believe I was working with Ross (young guy in his early 30’s??) and he was the only guy that made me feel comfortable in buying flooring from Express Floors. Very cool and kick back guy. Willing to help and give you the best deal possible without telling you to buy now! Since he knew I was shopping around, he asked to give them a chance if I get a better deal. (Non of the other companies said that.) I said «Sure!» I came back 3 days later and Express Flooring hooked me up with some great floors. Even though it is always a good thing to shop around, I definitely would recommend going to Express Floors. Good prices and great service!
