Established in 2012.

University Pools is a second generation pool service company. The owner, Cortland, learned the business starting from a young age from his father Cort, the owner of Corts Pool in Riverside County. After 5 years of working with Corts Pools, Cortland was inspired to move to San Diego, attend college and pursue his dream in business by starting University Pools. Attending college and being educated in business made for a very professional, efficient and well-​run company.

These are the people to call if you really want the job done. Cortland came out to do our pool. He Did what he said he would do, fixed the pool when 3 other companies flaked or said they would have to call someone. I was extremely pleased with the service.

Just met my pool guy for the next year! Courtland is awesome man. He came in and immediately identified the problems, noticing our filter was improperly installed along with our motor bearings being shot. I like how he explained every detail giving me a vivid picture of the problem and task at hand. Definitely looking forward to more visits with this guy!

Magic pool cleaning service? That’s pretty much the only way to explain our miraculous results with University Pools. After a few storms had washed dirt into our pool — which then turned to algae — I thought we would have no choice but to drain our pool. We tried everything — and finally decided to call University Pools. They took our pool from bright green to pure crystal blue in under 12 hours. I still can’t understand or explain how they did it. I highly recommend using them especially if your pool has gotten a bit out of control.

WOW! Is one word that comes to mind when I think of University Pools. We just moved into a new home and the pool was far below standard, we heard about University Pools from some close friends and decided to give it a try. Cortland was so professional and helpful with recommendations on how to get our pool into ship shape. After an acid wash and some general maintenance our pool was looking like brand new, and our kids were so happy to finally be able to use their new pool! We decided to keep him as our pool guy and he regularly checks up on us and keep our pool in pristine condition, we are the envy of all our family and friends! THANK YOU CORTLAND FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK!

I worked with Courtland on acid washing, repairing and painint our pool, He was courteious and showed up as scheduled and texted if he ws running late. He also took care of some stains on our walkway. After completion of the project their were some issues that needed additional attention and he took care of those. Highly recommended.

They provide a great service. Very consistent and professional. Their rates are affordable on cleaning service and repairs. They recently upgraded my pump to a new energy efficient pump which cost a pretty penny to install but I notice the savings on my bill already. I’ve never had a problem with the guys not showing up. The owner Cortland always quickly responds to my emails and picks up the phone when I call. I’ve had a good experience with this company so far and plan on remaining with them as and recommending them.
