Tranquility Lashes

I’ve been getting eyelash extensions for at least a few years now, (with a few months of breaks here and there to allow my lashes to recover a little) and I have to say that Jason is by far one of the best lash technicians I’ve had the chance to discover. Lash extension application sessions can be stressful and even painful if you happen to get someone who is not experienced or trained well — fortunately Jason is the opposite. Not only is he very experienced and good at his job, he is super friendly, welcoming, and calming. I fall asleep every time I am on the table (a testament to his skills) and wake up with beautiful, full looking lashes! He also really emphasizes lash health, which I can appreciate from the medical side. He does get booked pretty quickly and he is a little bit more pricey than the other lash salons in the area, but I am a firm believer that with lash extensions, you get what you pay for. Yes, the other places may be cheaper but is it worth suffering through painful applications and abusing your eyelashes? You only get one set of eyes, and they deserve the best! I’m glad I’ve found someone I can completely trust with my lashes for as long as I’m in the SD area.

Ok, so I haven’t seen Jason in FOREVER (I moved) but I did want to take the time to review his work and say that since I’ve moved I haven’t been able to find anyone who comes close to doing what he does. Ladies (or gents), if you’re in the area and looking for flawless lashes that look amazing whether you like the natural style or intense super glam vibe, this is the place to go. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience — my only complaint is that I can’t teleport there to keep my lashes going!

This is a wayyyy over do review-​like a few years over. All I have to say is that– Jason is amazing!
I’m a difficult person to place eyelashes on, I’m a contact wearer and without my contacts in, my eyes get super watery. On top of that, I have short Asian eyelashes which make it 10x harder. So imagine a short wet lashes palette for Jason to work with. Somehow, Jason made it work. Plus I love how peaceful it is when I go get them done. It’s like a spa day!

Jason is simply amazing! He is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his field. I am really impressed with his care and attention to detail. I have gotten lash extensions elsewhere and it was less than a zen experience. I do not like my eyes being handled at all and he made me feel calm and comfortable throughout the experience. Also he knows what will look great on you. When I went in I had decided that I wanted extremely long exaggerated lashes, but Jason helped me pick the right ones for my look and I am so glad I listened! The fit was perfect and looked completely natural. Also Jason is one of the most awesome people to be around. I feel happy to know him and just being around him is a healing experience.

I went to Jason after reading all the reviews on Unilocal.Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed! I have «asian» eyes or «monolids» or hooded lids as some people call them, so I thought it might be a challenge for him. We talked and he asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted something different and just a change to bring out my eyes. I was nervous… I didn’t want to walk out looking like Tammy Faye Baker. The guy is truly gifted in knowing exactly what a client wants!!! The process for first-​timers is about 2 – 2.5 hours and I was comfortable the whole time except towards the end… I tend to get ants in my pants if I lay down for too long so it did not have anything to do with Jason and his techniques. The only «bad» thing was that he kept making me laugh! I asked him what the weirdest request was from a client. He said «Well, I did have someone ask me to make them look like a whore…» I nearly rolled off the table from laughing so hard. Hey, to each his own right?
Long story short! He handed me the mirror and viola!!! I have lashes! I looked alert and it even looked like I had made an effort in my appearance (but I didn’t and don’t…ain’t nobody got time for that!) I was beyond pleased. For the love of all that is good, if you are thinking of eyelash extensions, Jason is your man!!! I seriously left singing «Aaaaaaaaaat laaaaaaaaast, my lashes have come along… my lonely days are oooooverrrrrr» LOL Go! Now! Seriously!!!

I love his work ! Takes about 2 hours though and a bit on the pricey side, but he really transforms your eyes! Worth every penny

Jason at Tranquility Lashes is nothing short of a lash extension extraordinaire. An artiste of the highest order. He provides, hands down, the best eyelash extensions in Southern California. I’ve always been obsessed with long, fluttery, full volume, black lashes. My search for the perfect mascara that would deliver such results was usually futile, and applying mascara is time consuming and I sometimes wanted the effect of mascara but still wanted to look ‘natural’. Enter Jason. I heard about him at the salon where I get my haircut, and chose him because of his credentials. I wanted someone trained/​certified because IT’S MY EYES. I don’t do Groupons for services regarding my precious body organs. He offers complimentary consultations so you can discuss with him what your lash goals (if you will) are, and he assesses what your eyes/​lashes can handle. I love a ‘doe-​eyed’ look so I opted for the «Flirt», which is a package where lashes are applied mainly on the outer corner of your lash line. This package fit my aesthetic and my budget. I came in for my initial appointment with a clean-​clean face, NO makeup, moisturizer, sunscreen, etc., and Jason went to work. I think I fell asleep on the table (I usually do) as I find the whole process very relaxing and soothing. His studio is so beautiful and calming; the lit candles and music make me feel like I’m at a meditation retreat while I’m being beautified. After he was finished he handed me a mirror, and I couldn’t believe my lash-​enhanced eyes. I looked younger, I looked beautiful, I looked ‘done’, and had ZERO makeup on. Just my gorgeous, fluttery, long, dark, perfectly curled, NATURAL looking lashes. My eyes POPPED. After that, I’ve never looked back. I go to Jason every 4 – 5 weeks for fills AND I take meticulous care of my lashes in between visits: I sleep on my back, or on my side with my face off of the pillow, I don’t splash water on my face while washing it in the sink, and I don’t let the water beat down on my face in the shower anymore. I don’t rub my eyes, and I don’t use anything oil based near my eyes. I pat dry the skin around my eye area, and rarely wear any mascara on my lower lashes. When I return for my fills I come with a clean-​clean face and don’t shower for 24 hours after my appointment. I believe fills should be done every 3 – 4 weeks so the care I put into maintaining them allows me to stretch the time to about 4 weeks. I LOVE my visits with Jason; besides being gifted at what he does he’s a genuine and kind human being. I have never left an appointment not feeling amazing inside and out. I wake up in the morning looking refreshed and rested and youthful, all because of my lashes. Totally worth the cost of the lashes for that alone.
I wear contact lenses and have never had an issue with my lashes and my contacts. I wear them to my appointments too. I can’t feel the lash extensions on my real lashes, and my eyes feel the same as they did before I started having lashes applied. No doubt that’s because of the fantastic job Jason does with the application.
To summarize, there’s no better lash technician in San Diego or the greater Southern California area than Jason at Tranquility Lashes. He’s the best. I’d gladly forgo purchasing a new handbag or a pair of shoes, but step away from my lash budget. There’s no price I can put on how great I feel and look after a visit with Jason.

I loved everything about my visits to Jason at Tranquility Lashes. I won’t go on about Xtreme Lashes and how much I love them, but instead I’ll tell you that I’ve been to a few Xtreme Lash Stylists now and Jason is, hands down, the best. If only I hadn’t moved away! My eyelashes always looked beautiful, even, and stayed on for weeks on end. I highly recommend Jason, his experience, and his products.

I’ve been going to Jason at Tranquility Lashes once a month for the last 9 months since I moved to Yuma, AZ. YES, I drive 3 hours to get my lashes done monthly. I’ve been in love with Xtreme Lashes since 2006 and have never parted with them. I’ve had my lashes done by an Xtreme Lashes specialist in Baltimore, NYC, and now with Jason. I must say Jason is my favorite. He never seems rushed. Virtually no discomfort at all. I fall into a deep slumber at every visit. I don’t wear any mascara. I have never used any of the care products and my lashes look pretty good for about month. Jason’s lash applications are never clumpy, no glue residues, and they stay upright. A+++ in my book. The work area is very Zen with the scent of candles and tunes that will put you to sleep. Prices are good, cheaper than the east coast actually. I recommend getting the touch-​up packages for future visits. You will be hooked after your first visit.

To prepare for my role as Matorn of Honor at my bfff’s wedding I thought I’d give Tranquility Lashes a try. I suck at putting on false eyelashes & frankly my reasons for wanting eyelash extensions go deeper than my ineptitude as a make-​up artist. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have been blessed with long lashes like the 2 year-​old Latino boys have that make the women say, «Not fair! Look at his eyelashes! They’re so long he should be a girl!» Now I know what it’s like! People are taking that extra long look at me (in a good way) at the grocery store. My compliment conservative family, «What’s different about you? Did you lose more weight?» (OH GOD IT MAKES ME LOOK THINNER!!) I love the way they look. Everyone should look this good – if you want to ;-)

I wanted to get a couple of eyelash sessions in first before writing a review so I could fully assess my eyelash experience and let me just say that Jason is amazing at what he does! My first experience was a refill because I already had lashes from another salon. I paid a little extra since I was new and so he could see my current lashes but with that came more time spent on beautifying my lashes. I literally felt like I was at yoga but for my eyes. It was just such a nice spa-​like experience that I literally dozed off on the table a few times! I left a couple hours later with fresh new lashes!
My second experience was a little different since I was technically not «new» anymore and I was able to pay a little less with the refresh which also means less time. Thus, the more you pay, the more time he spends and vice versa. He has some good packages or pay as you go depending on your situation. I opted to purchase the 3-​package deal which saves about $ 15 per refill and is about 60 minutes worth of time to apply the lashes. Again, I walked away with fabulous lashes!
I will say this, I did notice that my lashes started falling off quicker BUT this could have been because I got a massage a couple days after and some oil may have gotten too close to my eye area. eyelash extensions and oil DO NOT mix well. I have two more refills left on the package and go every 3 weeks. Jason definitely makes you feel like you are entering into a spa and has water fountains, candles burning, and relaxing music playing while he makes your lashes pretty. It is sad to see lashes fall off when they do and I’m still debating on how long I’ll keep up my new vice. But if you’re on the fence try out Tranquility Lashes, you’ll love it!

When preparing for my wedding, I heard about eyelash extension that dramatically improves the look of your eyes without the usual unnatural look of fake eyelashes. Really?!? I had to find out. Although my makeup artist provided the service in OC, I didn’t want the stress on the day of the wedding, so after some research Jason’s Tranquility Lashes had the best portfolio that I really liked. I had to give Jason a call.
I tried Jason’s top-​of-​the-​line «Couture» eyelash extension service. Jason spent a few hours to carefully apply each of the Xtreme synthetic eyelash to my natural lashes. He made me feel comfortable, and I pretty much fell asleep while he was working because he was very gentle when applying the lashes.
The results were A-​MAZING! I could not believe my eyes (!). It took a day to settle to have a more natural look, but the hours of pain definitely paid off. I walked tall on my big day with my Xtreme lashes and some mascara and natural makeup. The hubby was quite impressed and loved my look. Yay!!!
Some things to consider if you’re new to extension service:
— Maintaining these lashes is a huge hassle.
I had my bachelorette party a few days before the wedding (I know it’s my bad) it was so stressful to maintain the Xtreme lashes. No spa day, no sweating for gym, no touching the eyes, no waterproof mascara, etc… I had no idea! Girls have to try so hard… :’(
— Xtreme uses synthetic materials and glue that can possibly irritate your eyes…
My sensitive eyes were quite irritated and I had slightly pink eyes throughout the week.
Will I do it again? Probably not. Will I recommend it for future brides? Definitely!
I have to thank Jason for making me look beautiful for my spring wedding. I have pictures to prove it. ;)

–for almost a year, I’ve been using my own semi permanent individual lashes that you buy at Sally’s Beauty Supply, and I would spend hours each week applying these lashes and they would be uncomfortable, fall off in as little as a few hours, and rip my own lashes out with them! Needless to say, when I arrived in San Diego I was eager to find a new solution to my «asian eyelashes».
I found that Jason came highly recommended and had great reviews. While other businesses did as well, I compared his website to theirs and found that his was far superior, complete with details and pictures, both before and after. The price is more than most, but I am a firm believer that sometimes you are paying for quality. With something as delicate as your own eyes, you cannot err to the side of cheap labor and risk your vision, especially when you are a pilot for your profession.
Jason was very personable but not superficial. He took the time to know who he was working on and their expectations before he sat me down to put my lashes on. It only helped sway my decision to use him for this service when I read that he had a B.S. in Neuroscience from the university of Washington. Being a Microbiology/​Marine biology Major, I can appreciate the intelligence and dedication that one needs to be a science major at a major university. I had no doubts about Jason’s capability after both meeting and reading about him.
I love my lashes, I received the Couture and got 84 lashes on one eye and 83 on the other (he is so meticulous he gave me the individual counts for each eye). It did take the entire time allotted but that is only a good thing with work that is this delicate. I could not tell that my lashes were not really mine, I could not even look with a magnifying glass and tell, I was absolutely blown away with the results!
I didn’t need to write this review because previous ones already accredit Jason for his wonderful work, I just want to speak bounds for the whole package, his work, his demeanor, and his overall ability to run this business. So you want lashes and you want it done right with someone you can trust? Put forth a little bit of extra cash, and go to Jason.

I signed up for Unilocal just to write a review for Tranquility Lashes. I was so compelled by Jason’s honesty, professionalism, and quality of work that I had to leave some feedback.
During my consultation, Jason looked at my eyes/​eyelashes and let me know what design would work best with my eyes. I appreciated his honesty because I do have big eyes and was very concerned that eyelash extensions would make my eyes look like they were popping out of my head! Having to place all my trust in him and his professional opinion, I LOVED my eyelashes!!!
I also appreciated the time he spent to explain the importance of maintaining the extensions and how to take care of them.
I will definitely be go going back and recommending Tranquility Lashes!

I just relocated to San Diego from the Chicago area and was looking for an artist to keep my lash extensions updated – I have maintained extensions for about three and a half years since my wedding as I love them, but was worried I wouldn’t find anybody in San Diego I can now rest easily as I found Jason and Tranquility Lashes.
My first appointment was fantastic, my lashes look incredible and natural. He also sells other xTreme lashes products, and I purchased the eyeliner at his recommendation, and it looked fabulous.
His prices are extremely reasonable, the location great and relaxing, and I highly recommend his services. Thank you Jason!

I am in love with my lashes now, and I set up my next appointment to see him in a few weeks. Btw, you should get the little care package he has set up for your lashes so they last longer! I don’t usually wear mascara but I’m thinking of getting the eyeliner. I’m a liner girl :)

I met up with Jason for a consultation and decided to get the flare.
The day of my appointment: I had a little chocolate piece on my bed to welcome me, music was relaxing, and jason did a fantastic job with my eyelashes. He knew exactly what I envisioned: the right length and curl.
I would definitely go back!

Jason is by FAR the best lash artist in San Diego, or even southern california. I have seen people from all over and nothing compares to Jason’s work.
My lashes are beautiful, long and full when he is finished with me. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful and really way more than you would expect for a lash studio. There is a nice fountain in the corner and the work table is very comfortable… with blankets and a pillow for under your knees.
If you are looking for a lash artist for your upcoming wedding or event or just to give yourself a fuller look, this is the place you want to go. Otherwise you will be spending double the money when you need to go to him and have him fix the horrible lash job someone else does. Trust me it happens a lot!
