History

Established in 2012.

Iacon (Eye-Uh-Con) Sound Studios was built in 2005 by previous owner Mario Quintero. At the time it was called Black Box Studios. This studio became a staple in the local San Diego rock scene and quickly made a name for itself due to it’s quality recordings and comfortable rehearsal spaces. In October of 2012 Black Box Studios was bought by current owners Frank W. Torres and Sulo King. It was re-named Iacon Sound Studios. Renovations and upgrades that took place were as follows:

— New floors

— New ceiling

— Fresh paint

— ADT Security system

— 24hr Surveillence cameras

— Lobby television equipped with Xbox 360

— Free WiFi

— Updated recording equipment

— Updated monitoring systems for Live room and vocal booth

— 24 hr access for all monthly lockout rehearsal rooms

We look forward to working on your recording project in the near future!
