I am so glad I ‘bumped’ into Terry’s Cleaning Service! One day I pulled into my garage and saw a crew of ladies finishing up a job across the way in my complex. I chatted with one of the girls, took the name and number for Terry’s, and am glad I did!
I rent a 70’s style large townhouse, that seriously needed some beautification! It had not been professionally cleaned, and needed the cross between a general cleaning and a deep spring-​clean.
First off, due to a mishap of scheduling, the General Manager Rob was very fair in offering me a discounted rate due to their need to reschedule my cleaning day. I was confidant to leave the key under the mat and let the crew have at it.
I came home to a wonderfully clean and up to snuff home, with corners and high-​ceiling baby cobwebs all taken care of! The fixtures, vinyl floors, carpets, kitchen and bathrooms all were sparkling, and things were back almost exactly as I left them (and that, my friends, is not an easy task, as I am a bit neurotic in that department, lol)
Dominique lead the crew, and with Brad and Malissa came through and thoroughly vacuumed, mopped, dusted, cleaned and shined all three, (count them 3) levels of my home. Each and every stair was attended to (thank the gods), and every room felt fresh and lovely to walk in to.
Special high five to Malissa, who worked a small miracle on my master bathroom. You know those milky semi-​opaque old-​school tub enclosures that get really yucky and scummy over time? Well, mine looks brand new again thanks to her magic touch. :) Yippee!

Absolutely horrible management and unorganized. The cleaning was not done in the time they promised. The cleaners were doing their job slowly so that the job would get finished in more time than what I had payed for. The workers looked untrusting, one of them even seemed in drugs, and left the scent of cigar and pot. Really unprofessional handled. I will not use this service again.

Fantastic! I hired Terry’s Cleaning Service for a move-​out cleaning. The team showed up on time (a bit early in fact) and got straight to work. I felt comfortable enough to leave the property for a few hours.
The landlord’s jaw dropped when she saw how clean the place was. We received our rental deposit in FULL despite some damage we thought would be an issue.
Terry is responsive and the pricing is more than fair. I initially tried to negotiate with her on the price — she didn’t budge and was confident in her crew’s work. After all was said and done, the confidence was more than warranted! I highly recommend Terry’s Cleaning Service.

Terry’s Cleaning Service did a GREAT Job cleaning our new rented home. They have a big heart & discounted the Job cost because it will be used for a homeless youth program. There is nothing worse than moving into a new place that hasn’t been really cleaned. Okay, maybe not «nothing,» but looking around to find hair, cobwebs, old dried food, grease, grime, and dirt permeating virtually every surface in our new condo absolutely made our skin crawl. Ashamed and dejected, we decided the only sane thing to do was call professionals. Terry’s Cleaning Services came to our rescue! On extremely short notice we were able to set up a move-​in clean at a very reasonable rate. For $ 65/​hr we had Jenni and Renee (and later, Michelle) work their friendly, charming asses off to get the place cleaned. Like really, really cleaned. Four hours later, and the job was done right. We honestly thought the shower doors were frosted glass until they worked their magic! They cleaned behind the refrigerator and deep into the windowsills! They even cleaned the fire sprinklers and vacuumed the patio! They even signed a statement for us for the owner saying that the condo had been received in dirty condition, and detailed the work that needed to be done. I can’t say enough nice things about the professionalism of the cleaning crew, and the office staff was fairly easy to work with. Our only criticism was that when we paid by credit card over the phone, they couldn’t figure out how to split the tip since the third crew member joined 2 hours later as she was attending a class beforehand. I really hope they got their tips! I would recommend having cash on hand to tip just to make sure they get their fair share. It was a great experience and I feel so much better having called these guys.

Awful, awful experience. Wanted to have my house cleaned before going to be with my grandmother who was dying in hospice. Wanted to have one less thing to worry about during a very stressful time. Left work early to meet them but they were nearly 2 hours late and didn’t call until they were over an hour late. My second clue that this was going to be terrible was when the head cleaner (Rene) arrived smoking in her car. I left them to clean my 550 square foot cottage for 2 hours. They called an hour and 40 minutes later saying they were done. When I came back, my house reeked of Febreeze (were they smoking in my house?!?) and my kitchen floors were sticky. And it only got worse from there. My bathroom floor was dirtier than when I left and they put a dirty cat toy in with my cooking utensils — extremely gross and bizarre. Maybe because I wasn’t back in time to tip them? Hard to do though when they checked out early. I negotiated with Terry to pay a little more than half which was still FAR too much. A week later my house still reeks of Febreeze and after going through an extremely emotional time I have to worry about re-​cleaning my house on top of everything. I never leave Unilocal reviews but I don’t want anyone else to go through this. If you want it done right call someone else.

I used Terry Cleaning Services for the first time this Saturday. They were professional and courteous, finished when they said they were going to and my house was spotless. I will definitely be using them again.

Exactly what I need! Comparable prices. Terry sends out THREE people to others 2. They do not cut corners. My house was cleaned to my expectations. The crew cleaned under things on counters, under furniture and my bathrooms were as sparkling as older bathrooms can be. I like using a service that allows flexibility in dates. When I used one cleaning lady she only had one time slot for me. When I had parties, she wouldn’t change the date to the day before. I haven’t had my bathrooms look this clean since I lived in Texas. I have finally found a company in California that cleans like a southerner. :-) We like our homes to shine and smell yummy so we can entertain. Thanks Terry!

WATCH OUT! Her prices are extremely high. Don’t get ripped off. Her «estimate» was not even close to what others offered.

The first time Terry and her crew cleaned our home was over a year ago and it was amazing. It was easy to schedule, they showed up on time and the price was great! Our house looked, smelled, and felt clean… exactly what you want when you pay someone to do a job you can do yourself. The next time we called her up it was a little less smooth. I left work early to let them in, however they showed up 30 minutes late. I texted Terry to ask where she was only to find out she wasn’t coming and her other crew was and she would find out where they were. I was a little frustrated but thought well I’m sure her staff is amazing and if trusts them to do the job without her. Wrong. They weren’t awful, but definitely not great. I had asked them to make our bed simply because my husband was out of town and I had a 4 month old. I was disappointed to walk upstairs and have to re-​make the bed and ended up re-​dusting our entire upstairs.
I waited awhile to call Terry again but recently I got desperate. Working full time, chasing a 1 year old around and having a husband who is in the military and home about 50% of the time I needed some help. I called Terry abound we set up a date and time. Once again I left work early to let them in at 3. At 330 I still hadn’t heard anything so I texted Terry and once again found out she wasn’t coming and she had to call her staff to find out how late they were going to be. She gave me a long list of excuses and by 345 I still didn’t have a time frame in which they would arrive so against my better judgment I suggested we re-​schedule and quickly set up a time for the following day. Only to get a text later that that time didn’t work for them even though she always set it up. After playing with a few more dates I suggested they come in thr morning so I didn’t have to experience the same thing I had the last 2 times and I have never heard back from terry and still haven’t.
I get that if you are running a business you can’t always be there, but if that’s the case then you can’t be the ONLY point of contact. One of her staff members should have called or informed me prior to my appointment thag they would be late. Just doesn’t seem like Terry cares about her returning clients. Poor customer service.
If you do make an appt. Make sure you are the first of the day so they don’t waste your time!

What a fantastic job this group of ladies did on our home! They showed up on time, worked hard & fast and did an outstanding job! Didn’t have to tell them anything, they just did it all! I highly recommend this company. Thanks for your fines& outstanding service!

Pam and Barbara cleaned our condo after a move out yesterday. One word: SPOTLESS. And I am very hard to please when it comes to what clean looks like. Very impressive. Use Terry’s and ask for Pam’s Team. You won’t be disappointed!

All good things to say about Terry and her workers. She was flexible and was able to fit me in to her schedule when I was in a pinch. The ladies that cleaned the house were early, began working right away, and did a great job. The price was fair and I was happy to pay a little extra so each lady got a tip for great work. I’m glad I used this company.

I was in the process of moving out of my apartment so I needed extra manpower that can handle all the filth that built up through the months around the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
Three cleaning service women arrived at my apartment on time and as little as 1.5 hours, they briefed me on the areas they cleaned and were out the door.
I was surprised to see areas of less concern that the woman have touched such as the face-​boards, closet corners and floor corners. That is def a plus.

I had a great experience from start to finish with Terry’s Cleaning Service. Booking via text message was very convenient for me. Another company I reached out to took two days to get back to me.
Terry’s staff is professional, friendly, reliable and does an exceptional job at providing a quality cleaning. There are certainly less expensive options out there, but I believe you get what you pay for. I would recommend Terry’s staff to anyone who is willing to spend a little extra for a job well done.

I hired Terry’s Cleaning Service a few days before our house guests arrived. I vacuum and clean the bathrooms and my husband cleans the kitchen, but our work is sub-​par. Terry’s Cleaning Service arrived exactly on time, and did an unbelievable job. The floor were shiny and fur-​free (we have three dogs); everything was dusted, including our wooden shutters; the kitchen looked amazing. It felt like we were living in a new house.
One more thing — it is very easy to get in touch with Terry by text. Very helpful!

I had a great experience with Terry’s Cleaning Service. I shot her a text a few days before needing a move-​out clean, and she got back to me right away. She was able to squeeze me in on the day I wanted.
My place was, admittedly, not the cleanest one-​bedroom. There was way more dust than I expected, the oven and the microwave were a mess, and the walls and carpet near my bedroom window were covered in some nasty dark dirt/​dust. Terry’s crew showed up on time, and after three hours of intensive cleaning, the whole place was sparkling. I walked through it afterwards and just couldn’t believe how clean the place looked.
I’m very satisfied with the service. Way better than anything I could have done.

I guess I am not valued enough to pay as much as your original customers who still pay the same rate as when you first started. Ok…
While we’re honest here, and I didn’t find it necessary to bring it up, but since you did — are the girls who are trained to clean just as you, and paid «fairly», whom you respect so much, and claim you pay $ 16/​hr, the same ones you post an ad on craigslist for, for $ 10/​hr, and are never the same ones twice?
I understand damage control, but please, if you will rebut me, be honest.
My 2 cents: Terry is not the one doing the cleaning anymore, which is a pity, because she was great at it. It’s not something bad, it’s simply a fact, but who would pay more for getting less?

Oh, Terry! After having hired her every two weeks for $ 125 each time, i.e. $ 250/​month, Terry got greedy… Unilocal reviews brought in more business than she could handle, so she became an employer instead of a hard worker. For everyone thinking of hiring her, she is NO LONGER the one doing the cleaning, but her «minions,» who are ever-​changing, young girls. You will no longer get the personal attention of the «big boss» now.
She let me know, a couple of days ago, that unless I can pay her $ 150 for every cleaning, every 2 weeks, she can no longer clean my house — granted, it’s not her cleaning anymore. I said absolutely no, and we parted ways. I expressed to her that her business is only as good as her doing the cleaning, because «she» is the one doing the outstanding job, that I put up with the mishaps whenever her girls would come clean, because despite of me leaving a detailed list of everything I expected (a list negotiated at the beginning of this «relationship»), they were missing things. I also expressed that once the Unilocal reviews were going to start coming in with the work done by others, and not her, she will see a decline in business.
She knows fully well, because I told her, that repeat customers whom she can rely on when she does a good job, and who never miss paying, are the ones she should value — that’s the way successful businesses work. Nevertheless, she is trying to grow, but she is missing the point– her success is doing the cleaning herself. She owns a fungible business, that could be replicated a billion times, there’s nothing special about it. I feel sorry for her, and I am here to warn you your money might be too good for Terry, and that you will no longer get the great service everyone in these reviews, including myself, is used to, because SHE NO LONGER CLEANS.

I would preferably like to forget the experience and that you are asking me to give you more detail lets me know this is not a first time occurrence and confirms your lack of quality.
You are the only Terry’s cleaning in San Diego with 5 stars which is why I chose you to begin with and even though you are wearing sunglasses in your Unilocal reply photo with your husband I do recognize you.
