Segway Nation

This was one of our favorite things we did during our week long visit to San Diego! We highly, highly recommend doing the 2 hour tour of gas lamp and the harbor! Also, request Hugh as a tour guide if you can. He was hilarious and had a ton of cool facts about the city. Can’t wait to take another Segway tour sometime! (We all wanted to buy a Segway by the end of the night!)

I bought my tickets on Groupon and surprised my boyfriend, mom and grandma with them as a gift on Christmas. We decided to redeem them this Saturday, and had a great time with Clint on the 2pm Gaslamp tour! Although I wasn’t a first timer, he was very helpful in showing everyone the ropes and making everyone feel comfortable while riding.
He knew lots of interesting facts about the area and took some awesome group photos for us as well :) I will definitely be back for another tour in the future, 5 stars for Clint!

Riding the Segway was a ton of family fun. The tour was amazing and our tour guide Klynt was very informative about local knowledge. Good times all around.

Lando was the perfect tour guide! He was very entertaining and out-​going and made the hour go by super quickly! My friends and I had a butt load of fun touring Gaslamp!
I bought my tickets at a discounted rate on groupon and it was worth every penny! The Segway is easy to ride and the helmets are cleaned every time!

Took the one hour tour the tour for fun the other day. I live downtown and have always wanted to do the Segway thing. It was super fun. Hugh was our guide, he was really friendly and knew a lot about the city. I would definitely recommend this as a fun thing to do for friends from out of town. Make sure you ask for Hugh!

This was one of the best adventures ever! You must Segway if you have not yet! Shout out to Klynt our tour guide! You were so wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thank you so much! Also thank you to Jacob the manager for being so accommodating I really appreciate it! San Diego is the most beautiful city and seeing it on a Segway is something everyone should experience.

Jake was our guide and he was awesome. He was really laid back, friendly and encouraging. He gave great clear directions for us newbies amd made sure we were confident before we took off. He told us some interesting facts and tidbits about the landmarks and told a few jokes. Definitely not cheesy or overdone which I appreciate!
The route we took was awesome and absolutely beautiful riding along the water at night. The lights along the ships were lit up and sparkly, saw downtown Gaslamp, convention center, Seaport Village, USS Midway, ships, restaurants and lovely high rises. I’m biased because I’m from SD but it was gorgeous downtown and along the water. One of the nicest and chill downtowns of many big cities.
As a local I really loved this tour and riding the segway. I would seriously do it again! They have it in multiple cities too (this company). Groupon pricing was 37 per 1 hour tour. Wouldn’t pay more even though I really enjoyed it.

Saw a Groupon deal for a downtown tour and figured this would be fun for our family to try. Hugh was our tour guide and was absolutely amazing. He made sure we were comfortable and knew what we were doing before venturing forth onto the streets of downtown. I was afraid a two hour tour would be too long but ended up
wishing it was longer. Hugh was very knowledgable and did a lot to make it fun for us. We got a break about halfway through for coffee and to rest our feet which do get a bit sore after awhile. Then we were off again. We learned so much on the tour. We will definitely do more tours in other cities. Great way to get around and see the sights and so much fun. Our boys said it was the highlight of our trip. Thanks, Hugh! We’ll be back!

Me and my girlfriend always wanted to try a Segway tour since we saw them downtown all the time. We decided to give it a shot and booked one here for a downtown tour of SD. We met up with Landon (who was great and had an amazing attitude) and he started us off with some practice and precautions. The tour was phenomenal and the view was spectacular!!! If you want a fun and great time, book a tour with Landon!!!

This was a Great Idea!!! We came all the way from WHODAT Nation and found our awesome guide Hugh (who is also a Saints fan) who was so patience me! Awesome tour of the town! The lights made it even more beautiful! So this is something everyone should try! #YOLO!!! So go and ask for HUGH!

Lando was great guide! Had a Living Social deal and did the 2 hour Waterfront & Gaslamp tour with my two teenage boys — Lando was very engaging, age appropriate, and seeming genuinely having fun! We got to see and do a LOT more than expected. Traveled 8 – 10 miles and gained a lot of great info/​trivia. Saw Santa Fe station, Midway, marinas, Headquarters, and THROUGH Petco Park & Gaslamp. Boys are ready to buy segways and start career as Guides. Thanks Lando and Nation Tours!

I found this great deal on Groupon and was able to share it with friends. The four of us had such a fun filled day. I did not think there would be enough room to take a segway tour through the Gaslamp however I was proven wrong. I saw sights I have never seen before. The guides were personable, energetic and informative. Whatever questions I had they were able to answer.
If you have never taken a segway tour before you don’t know what you are missing. I highly recommend this tour. Landon thanks for a remarkable day.

Landon or I believe he referred to himself as Lando was awesome! We had a group of 6 plus 3 others for a total of 9 and he made sure we were safe and 100% confident and ready to go before we took off.
One of my favorite parts was the amount of history that Landon gave us on the city especially around the Gaslamp District. The other cool thing is he was really informative on the different things to do around the city and he showed us some of the different paths we could take to reach different locations. My biggest regret would be that we didn’t book an earlier tour because he gave or a group a ton of ideas of things to do.
Bottom line riding Segways is awesome and super fun already, but having a tour guide that doubled as a concierge was even better. Keep a camera ready as the Segways have a backpack to keep your stuff and you’ll want to take pictures of the different places you go to. Also treat Landon well because he takes awesome care of the group.

Great place! We had a wonderful tour and Hugh and Clint made our experience so fun. These guys were great! Full of energy, patience knowledge and humor.
I will definitely be coming back.

I got LivingSocial deals for me and my parents last weekend since I wanted to take my parents on a little adventure for my dad’s birthday… something different from the usual birthday dinner we do every year. I am usually a bit skeptical about Livingsocial/​Groupon deals, but I read reviews and could not believe all the superb things people said about this company. After having experienced it for myself, I couldn’t agree more with everyone.
Even though there are Segway tours in OC/​LA where we are from, I chose to segway in SD so that it was a different setting than usual for us. My family has been to SD several times, but we never truly explored the downtown areas by foot… so why not segway around to make it fun.
First of all, the 2-​hour tour of downtown/​Gas Lamp/​waterfront is so worth it for $ 35/​pp. The route is very well-​planned. We were only in a group of 5 (with my family taking up 3 of the 5 people).so it was fairly personalized. The route led us around a variety of parks in downtown SD, Gaslamp, beautiful paths along Waterfront, Seaport Village, and along the ship port Our tour guide Landon could not be any more knowledgeable about all the history and surroundings. He was able to answer all of our questions, in addition to the random comments/​questions the public had for him when we segway-​ed past the public. He was also soooooo patient and funny! He is also a superb photographer… he was so patient whenever my parents asked him to take a picture for our family everywhere we stopped. He managed to capture shots at superb angles like a pro!
My mom cannot stop talking about how great the tour was, and how patient, friendly, kind, and funny Landon was as our tour guide. We are already talking about coming back to do this again!
I would definitely suggest this tour with Segway Nation whether you are a SD visitor, or even if you are a resident of SD who wants to get out to do something and learn some new things about local surroundings.
Boy is this the longest review I have written… but goes to show how great my family’s experience was!

Great time this was our second time on a Segway. Very easy to master and great fun. Landon was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable of the area. He was outgoing with a A personality that added fun and laughter to the tour.

Had a great time on the segway tour. First time using a segway! SO MUCH FUN and great way to tour and learn about places to go, attractions to see and restaurants to check out. Wish we did one the first day of vacation instead of the last! Do it and enjoy the ride. Our guide Hugh was patient and fun.

Holy cow! What an amazing time we had! Our tour guide was Clint on the 9:00am two-​hour tour of downtown/​Gas Lamp/​Waterfront. At first, I was feeling nervous about trying out a segway for the first time. Clint did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable and teaching us to segway (Can that be a verb?). Needless to say, we picked it up quickly thanks to Clint’s expertise. He showed us around and let us take breaks and pictures. He was knowledgable of the area and fun! I really felt safe on the tour and by the end of it, I was pretty comfortable on my segway. I highly recommend this company and Clint as a tour guide to anyone visiting the San Diego area!
P. S. We were totally not thinking and didn’t bring very much cash. Plus, I didn’t want to carry around my purse on the tour so I only brought my license. These tour guides deserve a tip. Don’t forget to bring along cash!
