SD Doula

Sunny, confident and competent Erin was the perfect person to have as a doula. She helped us have a natural birth with our first baby at Mary Birch. I doubt I could have done it without her there, reassuring, calm and patient at every step. Bright, approachable and caring, we found her knowledge and expertise before, particularly during and after the birth invaluable. Her warm and positive attitude were a marvel! It was great to find her locally. Having Erin as a doula was one of the best decisions we made and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Erin Wilson is a fantastic person, which makes her an excellent doula. I met Erin in Pilates and we connected immediately. Fast forward to last year, when I found out I was pregnant, it was a no brainer that I wanted her to be a part of our birth. Erin has this innate ability to make you feel like you are a part of her family. Her warmth is contagious and the confidence she has in the childbirth process gives you the confidence to face birth with strength and positivity. I have spoken to many women about childbirth and it is alarming to meet so many who are scared. I was never once scared, but very excited, and it was Erin who helped educate me about the process and instilled this perspective. Erin was not only at the birth of our son, but also taught our childbirth classes. She has a fantastic way of explaining the birth, hospitals, relaxation techniques, and everything else you need to know to prepare for the arrival of your little one. Erin answers every question you may have and most importantly can provide your partner with the support they need as well. My husband and I value the experience we had with Erin so much and are grateful she was part of our birth story.

SD Doula (Erin Wilson) was amazing during my first child birth! She helped my husband and I so much during the preparation for the birth, as well as during the birth. She allowed us to keep calm when things did not go as planned and really helped us to figure out, with a clear head, our options and what we wanted to do. We ended up having the best childbirth experience and couldn’t have asked for it to go any better!

My husband and I found out SD Doula (Erin) offered semi-​private childbirth classes and jumped right on reserving a spot. The thought of sitting in a hospital classroom with a dozen other couples seemed dreadful. We could not be happier with our decision. Erin is very knowledgable in all things childbirth and she’s found a way to make it interesting! My husband really learned a lot and we both enjoyed the interactive aspect of the class. The semi-​private nature of the class provided a more open environment to ask about the random issues and concerns we wouldn’t have felt comfortable asking in a bigger setting.
We felt totally prepared (well as prepared as you can feel as first time parents) after the class… thank you Erin!
