My heroes! Called Rob in desperation after my husband and I attempted to refinish our floors ourselves, and were on a tight deadline to put our house on the market. What a nightmare! After all of the hours of sanding, the massive dust, and supply cost, the floor looked awful. This is definitely a skilled job. Called Rob in desperation for advice, he was at my house within 2 hours, quoted a fair price, switched around his schedule and had a crew there by midday. Crew were professional, patient, friendly, and SKILLED. Floors look amazing! Worth every cent. Don’t try to do this work yourself, it’s dirty, backbreaking, you will cause more harm than good, and it will not look as good as the pros. Call Prestige!

I contacted Will with Prestige in the afternoon of January 11, 2016. He came out and quoted me a great price the morning of the 12^th, and work started on the 13^th. Two guys came out and sanded our hardwood floors, and put 3 coats down and were done by Saturday the 16^th. They did a great job and were very professional and clean. I explained that I was in a time crunch and they totally accommodated me at no additional cost. The floors look brand new. I highly recommend these guys and would definitely use the again.

We reached out to Prestige Floors after reading many of their customer’s glowing reviews online. Having now worked with Robert, Will and their team, I am ready to write one of my own.
We hired Prestige Floors to rip out our old carpet, remove the tack strips, refinish and stain the house’s original wood floors and put on moldings.
Robert and Will were fair in their pricing and they kept their word. Their workmanship was excellent and of the highest quality. Lastly, they were a joy to work with. What more could you ask for? I would absolutely hire them again!
It’s worth mentioning that shortly after beginning the job, having already completed the work of sanding the floors, I had to be called away on business and we had not yet selected a color for the stain. Where many contractors would be understandably frustrated Rob and his team were understanding and flexible.
Furthermore, after the job was completed, when we removed part of a wall with another contractor and exposed a small floor area that had not been sanded and stained, I called Robert to explain the situation. He kindly returned to our house and did a fantastic job staining that area, matching it to the rest of the floor at no extra cost. What a class act!

I used Prestige flooring to refinish existing hardwoods in our new house. The work is beautiful and Rob was very flexible with our payment schedule which was very helpful because of the many expenses associated with a new home purchase. They followed up with me after work was completed and ensured I was satisfied with everything!

I contacted Prestige Flooring to refinish my hardwood floors in late November. Their estimator came to the house within 2 days of the call. He was very informative and professional and left a written estimate. The company started the work within the week and was finished in 4 days. The floors look incredible. Each day the crew let me know what time they would arrive at the house and about what time they planned to leave. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left the house in good order. I couldn’t be happier with the work they performed at a very fair price. I would recommend this company to any of my friends and plan to use them again for several other flooring projects in my house.

Wanted to give feedback on a full tear out and install of 2 ¼″ oak wood floors
I had original floors in my 1920’s craftsman. Back when I bought the home 8 years ago I had hardwoods but in the back 2 rooms that were an extension to the original home. I didn’t realize how beat up the original floors were back then so I had to 2 rooms done to match the originals…
I called the same team that did my floors 8 years ago to bid on removing the original floors and feather into the back 2 rooms. I was very happy with them and fully expected to give them my business. Once they did the bid it was twice as much as the bid they had given me two years ago, knowing the floors needed to be redone after the posts and piers were done on the home. Ahhhhh, the joys of old homes! So I decided to have a couple more bids… still fully expecting to give them my business.
Will came out the same day I called. We discussed the options and he said Rob would be in contact with me once he was back from vacation. Rob came out and brought me to the reality that we couldn’t feather into the back floors because of the height difference in the back 2 rooms… they needed to level the floors in the back because of the existing foundation wall interfering with the leveling of the floors. I was bummed thinking I would actually have level floors with no transitions throughout the house!!! Rob gained my trust in knowing his business. I had gotten his name from a friend who had some patch work done. Since this was a full install I wanted to be sure I was making the right decision… this is a huge investment!!!
His bid was very reasonable… the full scope of work was addressed. Changing the way the wood was laid down to make the house seem more open, transitioning into the back rooms, changing the color in the back rooms to match a lighter stain throughout the house.
Floors arrived to acclimate for a couple weeks, job progressed nicely from there. Once the install was done we lived in it for about a month before they finished them. They are absolutely gorgeous.

While I haven’t had them do the work on a floor yet, I must say that Rob was so quick to respond to my inquiry, and made a next-​day appointment for my convenience. He was honest, straightforward, and from what I can tell, very fairly priced.
Customer service rocks!

These Guys nailed it! The Centro Cultural de la Raza, Nonprofit in Balboa Park, needed help repairing a previously poor attempt to resurface the dance floor. We were nervous but Rob and his team walked us through the process, remained flexible and patient with us, even during scheduling conflicts. We are ecstatic at the results as they got sketches out and staining that we thought were permeant to the floor.
They even offered great suggestions on adding murals to the thin Plywood boarder… obviously they art artists at heart!
We highly recommend them and will use them for all our wood floor needs!

I am in a rush to refinish my floor, I need to move in aprox. 2 weeks so I agreed with Will and Rob from prestige floors to start fast the project, I know there was not enough advanced notice, but they accepted the Job.
After the first 2 hrs working they called me and told me their people doesn’t feel comfortable in the house so they will drop the Job. This really hurt me because now I don’t have enough time to find someone else to make this Job. I thought I was working with a professional company but I noticed that wasn’t true.

My front room area has some nice flooring to it, however the previous owners did not really take care of it too well and let it fall into disrepair. Ever since buying this house I’ve desperately wanted to give the front living room area a face lift and make it look better than how the last owner left it. After talking to a couple of flooring guys, it came to my decision the best course of action was to resurface and reseal the floors because old hardwood floors like these are hard to find now. I found Prestige Floors off the internet when looking for contractors to redo my floor. I contacted several contractors for some quotes and some ideas on how to do the floor. Prestige seemed like the most competent contractor out of the lot and the guy who came to look at our floors was a very nice and friendly person.
The first set of people who came out to do the floors seemed frustrated and had some scheduling conflicts with us as they were unable to give us an appropriate time when they were going to start the job and when they were going to leave. They seemed a little rude that we wanted times when they were going to show up and leave, which I think most contractors, should provide. After talking to Rob and settling our scheduling conflicts, the job went way more smoothly. The lack of scheduling was perhaps my biggest complaint about Prestige Floors.
Their work speaks for its self; the floors that they resurfaced turned out beautiful and looked amazing. It quite literally looks like a brand new floor and I was awe struck when I finally got to see the finished job. I’m impressed with their work and really enjoy my newly refinished floors. They also attached my baseboard when they put the final coat down and the baseboard was kind of iffy. There were lots of places where they should have used some filler or caulking to hide the fastener spots and splices. Luckily I had no issue doing this myself and repainting over the areas to give it a better finished look.
Overall I think the price I paid to Prestige was fair and they performed their job very well. Getting past the scheduling conflicts, I truly think they’re good contractors who will make your floors look brand new.

We are extremely pleased with the job Prestige Floors did with refinishing our hardwood. They were very flexible working with us on start dates and you couldn’t ask for better pricing and craftsmanship. Ed did a fantastic job with the floors. We had a couple trouble spots from puppy stains, but we opted not to stain, but go with a natural look. We LOVE our newly refinished floors!

Like several of the other reviewers we are pleased with our hardwood floors, but not with the after-​installation service. The installation went well with Sean and Manny showing up on time, putting in a full day’s work, and keeping the job site clean. However, this is not extraordinary service, but what I would expect.
Once the job was completed we paid in full, which was a big mistake since it’s been 6 weeks since the job was completed and we can not get them to come back out to fix the threshold near the slider that is not secured. Like other reviewers we have had this scheduled many times with no one showing up and no phone calls to explain why. When we contact the owner, Sandy, she does not apologize for nor take responsibility for her error.
It also took us 6 weeks to get the cleaning kit that should have been provided when the job was done. If you enjoy having your time wasted, working with a company that does not care about customer service after the job then hire them, otherwise find someone else who not only provides good service before they are paid, but still values you as a customer after you’ve made the final payment.
In response to Robert M’s comment:
This comment is another example of them not taking responsibility of the issue. Our couch can not and does not touch the molding. The issue is that the molding has not properly adhered since it was installed and the amount of our time they wasted by not showing up for scheduled appointments trying to get this resolved. Also with a purchase of over $ 12 000 in hardwood floors one would expect a maintenance and cleaning kit would be included.

Let me begin by saying that we LOVE our manufactured wood floors… installation was great and the fact that they are family owned is important to us because we live to support family owned and operated companies. Unfortunately their down fall is customer service after the installation. Have tried for 2 weeks to get someone out to fix an installation error. Had an appointment to which the installer didn’t show or call, I had to call the office. Many apologies were made and I was told the installer was running late and I would get a call… never got a call or saw the installer. Rescheduled (I had to call again to get another appointment) but the installer didn’t show… again no call from anyone. While the initial install and service was great the follow up has been terrible. I hope this review pushes them to hire more people to assist in their customer service.

I just moved into a place by the ocean where the hardwood floors were neglected for years. Luckily I found Rob and his Prestige Floors team. They transformed a mess of wood into a beautiful showcase hardwood floor. They met a tight construction timeline and were in and out on schedule. I was impressed that they could get the job done with minimal dust and mess. Very professional! Thx.

Good product, poor communication from their office making the stress of the job much worse. Disappointing. Wouldn’t use again.

I recently moved from Northern CA to San Diego, and Sandy helped set up installation of hardwood floors and carpeting in my new condo before I moved down. The floors look AMAZING and it couldn’t have been more convenient for me.

Rob and Ed did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors. Their prices are more affordable than many of their competitors, and while communication was a bit delayed when Ed showed up in place of Rob to do the job, it all worked out well. Ed worked quickly and got the job done while we were out of town. All in all, we are very happy with our nice ‘new’ floors!

My wife and I recently bought a house that had old, moldy wall-​to-​wall carpet over hardwood floors. We obviously wanted to refinish those floors as soon was we discovered them, so we called on Prestige. They not only did a beautiful job, but they also laid a new hardwood floor in an addition room built in the back of the house, and were able to blend the flooring from the new installation with the old refinished floors.
To top it off, due to some small remodels, we were missing some baseboards, and Prestige was able to install similar replacements for us. All we had to do was paint them.
The job was completed in less than a week and we couldn’t be more happy with the results!
