The Staff at MVP were attentive to my parents need. They needed to get fumigation done & wasted no time to come out & inspect the house.
They communicated very well as to what we needed to do & what the game plan would be.
After the fumigation, repairs needed to be done & they arrived early in the next morning to start working.
MVP worked diligently & took take care of business. Prices are competitive!

The worst experience of my life. My entire complex was tented and got robbed, some of the places were «broken into» with actual broken windows and signs of forced entry, some without. Leading it to seem like the actual people who did the job and not a set of bandits that just so happened to have gas masks and the equipment necessary to be able to enter the building while being tented, while knowing the location and time of the tenting. The Supervisor Ray blames a lack of work from private security. I feel like the finger should be more pointed back in the direction of his so trusted «team of 5.»

It’s so easy to take the time to write a bad review when you are upset, but very difficult to make time to write a good review when you are pleased with a company.

I called Mann Vs. Pest after we discovered a flea infestation in our home when we returned back from our summer vacation (SOOO nice to come home to!).
Ron took my call, gave me a fair quote, and we scheduled an appointment for the very next day.
When he arrived at our home (on time) he was very professional and explained clearly and concisely what to expect during the elimination process.
He explained that because of the hot, humid weather this year that I was not alone and he was very busy. He explained that the chemical solution worked on infant and adult fleas but because carpet covers most of our floors, that one treatment might not get rid of the problem because if there are any flea eggs down deep in the carpet, the chemicals would not get rid of them– but we’d keep our fingers crossed.
I had to remove my husband (who works from home), our kids, dog and goldfish from the house before he started straying (and we all needed to stay out of the home for 4 – 5 hours).
We did.
I’m happy to say that even though I did see a few stragglers jumping around a few days after the treatment, no one in the family was bit again, and I haven’t seen any since!
All for a VERY good price.

I battled with disgusting roaches in my apartment for 8 months… My complex used this place ribbit something. Which was a waste of time to do, i called the guy and said that the spray he used was only good for 2 weeks and he could not guarantee that the roaches would be gone and long a behold i ended with more roaches (so gross). So I pleaded and begged my landlord to try Mann vs Pest because of friends who live in another property but managed by the same place as mine used them and said she loved them. Meanwhile i cleaned and kept food out of sight swept mopped… i tried every way to get those things away from my family sooo after many pleads and request i found out Mann vs Pest was approved and could come out that Monday and Jared came by and sprayed, the next morning i saw DEAD roaches i was so happy that those nasty things were dying left and right. I haven’t seen a roach since… But for my own sanity i will have them come again and spray since i know roaches have eggs and I don’t want to chance it… but overall I am happy and so is my husband since im not on his case about every little thing in the kitchen… i hope this was helpful and that they can help you with your pesky pests that belong NOT in your home.

I’ve never had a problem with this service, and this is my 3^rd maybe 4^th year in a row using them. They are always on time and courteous, both on the phone and in person.
I haven’t shopped around, but their prices seem fair to me, and they offer a 30 day guarantee on their services, so if the problem remains (even in the slightest) they will come back out and respray– no questions, no hassle.

Ron and his crew have been working on my property now over 4 years. They have gone out of there way in many situations to get things done here. Even today, Oh thank goodness were they available when I completely forgot to schedule them for a unit. Not that this will always happen but just an example of them looking out for the customer. I am happy to have MannVsPest… Ron, Giselle and Ken are the top dogs!!! Thank you guys for all your hard work.

During escrow on the purchase of a home, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services ordered a pest inspection on behalf of me the buyer. I personally did not have any say (in retrospect, I wish I had) in who they were going to use for the pest inspection. I received the pest inspection and found several areas that the pest inspector Andrew J. Hannegan, had missed. During my home inspection, the inspector and I found areas that were marked by Andrew and several more areas that had no markings. I initially thought that the inspector had found enough evidence that he was going to recommend fumigation and just report the areas that require repair. However, upon review of the report, there was never any mentioning of areas and no mentioning of fumigation, just local spot treatment. Some of the areas that were missed were the front window seal of the house (I don’t know how this could have been missed, its one of the first areas you see), mouse/​rat droppings in the attic, what appears to have been a nest of mice/​rats in the attic, old wasps nest in the attic, termite activity throughout the attic that was only mentioned in one area, etc. What it appears is that this inspector did not perform his job as thorough as he should have. I have called ManVsPest and spoke with Andrew. He had no explanations other than he did not recommend fumigation because the roof is aluminum. After serving on a board for an HOA and seeing hundreds of reports from several other pest inspections, they ALWAYS recommend fumigation as the primary means of killing out the termite activity in the home. These reports are always followed by a possible heat treatment and finally followed by a spot treatment. I understand that every time you see termites that you don’t require a fumigation, but when you see activity throughout the house and the last fumigation was over 10 years ago, then it seems like that should have been the right answer. Andrew stated he would get in contact with Berkshire Hathaway and perform a re-​inspection. Upon final receipt of this report, I may update my review.
Update 5÷14÷2015
Andrew never followed through on his promise and it appears never treated anything that was found in the attic. As I had expected, I’ve closed escrow in the house and now within two weeks am having the house treated again.

Mann vs Pest has visited my house six time to remove a flea infestation. Six times MvP has sprayed and I still get flea bites after a month passes. I bought a flea trap, and behold, fleas are still here.
Once I had the same exterminator as before, but otherwise it is a new person who has no idea of the history of failures. I plead/​beg with them to do a good job, tell them how crazy flea bites have driven me and yet… nothing.
Why would I keep going back? My landlord has a contract with them and they don’t want to bring in anyone else.
If you have the choice, go elsewhere.
MvP if you are reading this I am totally willing to change this review if you do get rid of the fleas before I find a place to move to.

I have never experienced bad enough service from any business to merit creating a Unilocal account to write a scathing review… until now. I honestly don’t want anyone to have to waste as much of their time as I did only to be disappointed before the service even had a chance to begin.
I used the «contact me» page on Mann vs Pest’s website to request a quote for a beg bug problem and to schedule an inspection (since that seems to be a prerequisite part of the treatment process). The owner Ron called me back within one day, on a Saturday, so I was initially impressed. He said he was out of town but would be back Sunday night and he would call me when he got in so we could schedule an inspection for Monday.
He never called on Sunday. I figured most likely he just got in later than anticipated and courteously did not want to call late, so I was not upset. I assumed he would call Monday morning.
But he did not call Monday morning. He did not call Monday at all. In the evening, I emailed him to ask if he was still available to do an inspection. He called me back on Tuesday and we agreed on Wednesday evening. I said I would be at work, but if he could give me 20 minutes notice, I could run home to meet him there. So he said «alright, 4… 5… 6pm, I’ll call you,» which sounded a big ambiguous, but I could see how it could be hard to keep a tight schedule in a business like this.
I did not get a call on Wednesday until past 6:30pm, at which point he said he didn’t want to come because traffic at this time would make it take forever — get this — for him to get home afterwards. Typically your customer would be concerned that it would take you forever to DO the inspection that you said would get done between 4 and 6pm, not about how late you get home. In the act of complaining about how awful traffic is at that hour, he grumbled about how several of his clients are up in Rancho Santa Fe, mentioning that they are (presumably because of their location) «clients that I’d rather not have.» Not a good sign when the person supposedly trying to win your business is whining about other customers.
At any rate, he said he would be «knocking on [my] door at 10am tomorrow morning» and that he’d call me when he was leaving the office. That would get me to work much later on Thursday than I’d like, but I thought at least if I am his first stop in the morning, he couldn’t stand me up again.
I thought wrong. He didn’t call me by 10am. He didn’t call by 11am. By 11:30 I was so angry I called another company and made an appointment with them despite their rough estimate price being significantly higher. (If I can’t trust Ron to call or show up, why would I trust the price he quoted me anyways?) In fact, Ron NEVER called me that day. Or the day after. I haven’t heard from him since.
If he didn’t want to take on new clients in North County because of their location, he should have just said so. I lost hours of work Thursday morning, and I lost hours of productive time Wednesday evening because I didn’t want to start into a project that I would be unable to stop in the middle if he had called. He clearly knew he would be late; he could have at least taken the courtesy to call and tell me so before nearly 7pm.
A completely disappointing and frustrating experience, and I can’t even vouch one way or another for his actual pest control services.
For anyone interested, the company I ended up calling was Thrasher Termite & Pest Control. So far they have been extremely courteous and attentive, and were able to squeeze in an inspection last-​minute into their schedule that same afternoon! What a breath of fresh air after my Mann vs. Pest frustration.
