We have enjoyed Marie Callender’s pies for years. Every Thanksgiving we order 2 pecan and 2 cherry pies. This year my son was told that pies could not be reserved but that they would have some on Thanksgiving day on a first come first serve basis. We arrived shortly after opening, and were told that all the pecan and cherry pies were spoken for. Even worse was that they actually had them but refused to sell any to us because they were reserved! Seriously, what bakery doesn’t prepare enough pies for Thanksgiving? Somebody really dropped the ball here.

We wound up at this Marie Callenders pretty much by default for Thanksgiving Dinner due to a transportation snag involving a disabled family member. First time in our families history not celebrating TGD at home. Much to our pleasant surprise, today was one of our best TG experiences! Our waitperson, Ali, was excellent in every way; Accommodating, efficient, genuinely nice, and attentive. The thanksgiving dinner served was absolutely delicious and presented with perfection. The environment was clean, organized, and some at our table remarked it felt more like being in someone’s home — not in a chain restaurant ! It takes a lot for a eatery to successfully pull off a full day of continuous guest flow and make it seem effortless — but this entire team did just that. Thank You Thank You Thank You. We WILL be back :)

Excellent lunch! We ordered the Country Hasher and it had just the right amount of everything. Pancakes were delicious. Also ordered the Works Frisco burger and that was amazing. We spent our meal enjoying our food and listening to our server Ruben provide excellent customer service to the tables around us. The couple behind us seemed to be regulars and Ruben assisted them with getting their order right, even remembering how they ordered their food. I’ve got to say it’s been so long since I’ve come across customer service this exceptional. I would definitely return!

Marie Callenders has great frozen pie crusts which I often use when baking my own pies. We don’t have a Marie Callenders Restaurant in Chicago, so I was excited about stopping in for fresh pie. I selected my favorite, banana cream pie. Though the pie crust was tasty, I was disappointed. There weren’t enough fresh bananas and too much artificial banana flavoring. I’d rather buy the crust and make my own pie.

Bad service!!! I came here with my family of 12 for brunch. The manager(Oz) was an ass that he had us waiting for over half an hour when there where many tables. They sat a party of 15 before us and come to the excuse that it’s up to the servers to fix the tables. I over heard him telling another employee that since we weren’t leaving«I guess we have to sit them» once they finally sat us down they ignored is completely we got up and left they where just to rude and disrespectful.

Really disappointed never been here, wanted to try it out, i know they have great pie but they should just stick to that. We had the bbq deal and everything tasted frozen rubber chicken left over bbq ribs frozen mashed potatoes, waited 20 minutes for table then another 30 for food. They were not even busy. I will not come back here to eat just get pie.

If Dessert is your calling you should definitely try their famous Pie’s that what they do best, my personal favorite is the Kahlua Cream Cheese. I also like their Breakfast options. For dinner we started off with coke, lemonade and Corn bread(freshly baked) followed by Grilled Atlantic Salmon fillet with rice and seasonal vegetables. Artichoke and mushroom chicken served over a bed of rice pilaf and vegetables in a creamy Parmesan and Asiago sauce. BBQ Ribs with fries. BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Grilled chicken breasts and shrimp skewers with loaded mashed potatoes and Three cheese omelette with tater tots and creamy potato soup. It was quite a hearty meal but nothing extraordinary. The service is quick and portions are filling they also have a bunch of offers. Kids eat free Saturdays and Thursdays.

Don’t know what they put in the food but I was full just from 1 pancake and 2 sausages. Delicious pumpkin pie. I think the only thing wrong was the table size, party of 4 including my 1 yr old and it didn’t seem like there was enough space for our coffee and the bread plates. Wish they had biscuits and gravy, but their hasher was flippin’ delicious!(was trying to steal my husband’s lol) Gonna order that from now on.

I have to say I love this place. Child friendly, great staff and very affordable. Tuesday’s and Saturdays kids eat free with an adult meal. This is great if you have four kids like we do. They always serve fresh baked bread. Different all the time. I love having my annual Mother’s Day breakfast here.

Reserved a pie last night in honor of pie day. When I went to pick up the pie, they sold out including the one I reserved. They were able to make another pie in the kitchen but it wasn’t until I got home that I realize that it was made with all the left over blemish strawberries. You could tell the knife cuts of all the bad parts. You can not run a business that compromise quality and not uphold to the usual standards. They could have offer me a discounted pie the next day or something else. I have been coming here year after year during strawberry pie season so I am quite disappointed. Time to look for a new pie place. Need suggestions…

We were craving for some old fashion comfort food. We ordered the Meatloaf and Pot Roast. They come with mash and some vegy. Both dishes were well made and every bite seem to melt in your mouth. The meatloaf was very good, but we’ve had better. The Pot Roast was the best we ever had! The service was quick, but not rushed. The seating were comfortable. The ambience was warm with a lot of light. Other Marie Callender’s that we’ve been to tend to be very dark. And yes, there were a lot of senior citizens here, but good food transcends age and color. We gave this place 4 stars because we never give 5 stars.

Great pie! Several of us ordered lots of different pies to taste. I can confidently say that you will enjoy: The Double Cream Blueberry Pie, The Peach Pie a la mode, Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Cream Pie, & The Banana Cream Pie. I’m giving 4 stars instead of five b/c the regular food gets 4 stars. But the pies get 5 stars.

Our waitress last night was excellent and sweet and friendly unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. The food was ok, my group of 5 ordered the pot pie deal and the total came to $ 60.00 for all of us, not bad! It was my mother’s bday and she was super excited to have the razzleberry pie for dessert which comes with the meal deal. She and my brother both got that but seemed disappointed with the pie saying the crust needed serious work and that they prefer the frozen Claim Jumper berry pie! I myself am a fan of the blueberry double cream pie and that’s what I got and was very happy. They tried mine and wished they had gotten that. I say stick with the cream pies here!

This place is alright. They have some pretty good deals during the seasons. We were highly craving for some soup last night so we ended up here. They had a special deal going on: Your choice of Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherd’s Pie or Tuscan Shrimp Pot Pie, each served with a Caesar salad and choice of pie. *Excludes fresh fruit seasonal pies and cream cheese. Shepard’s Pie Meal $ 11.99 This was served in a little clay bowl. It basically tasted like mashed potatoes with meat and vegatables. There are fat chunks of meat and it was tender. It also has a lot of melted cheese on top. This dish was very hearty and delicious. Tuscan Shrimp Pot Pie $ 13.99 This pot pie was very disappointing. First of all, under the blanket of crispy pie dough on top, was a very watery soup base. There was barely any shrimp and the shrimp pieces were tiny. Looked nothing like the advertised photo on the menu. It had some flavor but overall just sad. Caesar Salad Served on a small plate with ranch, cheese and four pieces of croutons. Can’t go wrong here. Lemon Cheesecake I didn’t get to try this pie but my boyfriend liked it. Kahlua Cheesecake The cream cheese was very light and fluffy and tasted like a light kahlua caramel flavor. The crust was a dark colored and very crunchy. It almost tasted like dark chocolate. It was good, i would recommend it. And I absolutely love how they give you such huge slices of pie here. Other places would give you half of their portion. Overall, this place is average. Their specialty items like pot pies are supposed to be the best but they’re really not. Some items are good, some not so good. Just really a great place for pie.

So I came in here for dinner and I ordered the grilled shrimp street tacos … Let me just say after removing all the cabbage off the taco, my «shrimp» taco was made up of 1 ½ shrimps! WTF like really?! The order comes with 3 tacos but somehow I was only able to make 1 taco after combining the shrimp from all 3 tacos into 1 tortilla, so I paid 12.99 for 1 shrimp taco. I wanted to say something to the waitress but she never showed up to check up on us and I was starving so I had to eat my 1 taco, so disappointed. I will probably not return to this establishment.

I ate here for dinner. They had a promo going on for their BBQ menu. When you order a BBQ entrée you get a slice of pie as well. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich. It was ok. It comes with fries. The sandwich itself was ok. Nothing great about it that really stood out to make it memorable. I probably wouldn’t order it again. I tried the strawberry and cream pie that came with the meal. It was good. Overall the sandwich wasn’t that great. The service was worse. I ordered a sprite but the waiter never came around to refill my drink or even ask if I wanted a refill. Usually waiters don’t have to be told to refill a drink and just see it and get you one. That was a negative thing about this visit. Not many people were eating there and this was on a Friday at dinner time. I can see why this place doesn’t get packed. Probably will not be back here any time soon. Unless it’s for pie.

My momma always said, «Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.» Forrest Gump I remember I had my first pie when I was 4. A delicious apple pie from this tiny bakery across the street from the main post office downtown. The smells from the donuts was heavenly. It was hard choosing between donuts or pie. Sadly the bakery closed years ago and I now travel from place to place looking for good pie. I heard about this great pie sale and I had to taste for myself. $ 9.99 chicken pot pie meal and $ 7.99 for a whole pie. I ordered a chicken pot pie with a slice of peace pie for dessert and a dutch apple pie to go. corn bread — good, I like that the corn flavor was just a hint rather than a deluge and how the texture was more like cake rather than bread. fruit cup — good, fruit was fresh and had good flavor chicken pot pie — excellent, hot right out of the oven, loved the chicken pie aroma as my fork penetrated the top crust, the crust was a delicious combination of crunchy and flaky pastry perfectly baked to golden brown, the chicken, carrots, and gravy was also delicious. This pie is so much better than the frozen ones at Costco. I never bake them correctly at home and the crust is a bad tasting gooey mess except for the top edge which I usually burn or at a minimum it’s too dry. peach pie — very good, excellent crust just like the chicken pie, peach filling was very good but a bit too sweet dutch apple pie — fair, crust needed a bit more time in the oven, the flavor was a bit bland and the texture wasn’t crunchy enough, the crumbly topping was pretty good, apples good but too sweet, one thing that really annoyed me were these hard pieces of apple skin maybe in the filling, barely better than a Vons or Sprouts pie as it had the advantage of being fresh baked but not as good as Coco’s or Betty’s Pie Whole. The service was very good. The waitress was really working hard and the manager walked by just before people were finished to see how their meals were and at times was at the cash register.

Tuesday and Saturday kids eat free with purchase of adult meal is what we take advantage of! For the three of us there was plenty of food since we enjoy family style. Kids turkey and stuffing meal with slice of chocolate cream pie for $ 6.99(free!) the turkey was very tender and the stuffing, while not crunchy which I prefer, was still tasty. It came with a side of veggies and mashed potatoes and gravy. Shared the $ 11.99 Pie trio: shepherd’s pie, Caesar salad and slice of double cream lemon pie. The shepherd’s pie was not a traditional one with ground beef. No matter– the chunks of beef were tender, and I liked the small diced zucchini with peas and mushrooms, and of course it was topped with yummy cheesy masked potatoes. I would call it a beef pot pie, not a traditional shepherds pie. The double cream lemon pie was simply divine. Try it! It was lemon curd like on a lemon meringue but was topped with a layer of lemon sour cream. I have a new favorite. The last time we came the mozzarella sticks were surprisingly good. We would have ordered that too, but thought two slices of pie were enough of an indulgence.
