We specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes and desserts to order. We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to place an order. Our location is a shared rental kitchen, so we are by appointment only. We love making wedding, party, baby shower and any special occasion cakes.

Business Owner

Jenny is by training a Medicinal Chemist with a science background. Learning from an early age in her mother’s kitchen in England, she has always loved to bake treats, and after moving to the United States she was missing a taste from home, and looking for a creative outlet, so started creating delicious cakes for her friends. After learning pastry arts from James Foran at Grossmont College, Jenny quickly found cakes were a passion and took lessons with cake artists such as Elise Strauss, Jaqueline Butler (petalsweet cakes) and Lauren Kitchens, to create cakes that she hoped would be as great to look at as they taste.

I had to get cake last minute for our son’s Hollywood themed party. I was looking up places and came across Jenny Wenny Cakes. Gave them a call, got in touch with Jenny and started communicating by email. Within hours I was at the very cute store talking with Jenny, who is just so sweet. She was able to make great accommodation for an event a week away. I showed her what I was looking for and we discussed different options for best fit budget. She even supplied me with samples to see what I wanted for each tier. The cake came out PERFECT! The service was great, the delivery was on time and the cake was AMAZING, in all aspects, taste, look and what I wanted. Thank you Jenny for making our son’s birthday that much more special with the amazing cake that tied the whole theme together!

Oh my god! The cake was perfect as expected! Not to mention. It was so delicious!!, my guests keeps asking where i got my cake done (of course i did some marketing around during the party). My brother even complimented on how good the fondant tasted, «its not your typical sweet fondant, its actually something you would enjoy eating without ending up with a tooth ache».
Ms. Jenny was very nice and honest when it comes to the cake’s design (she wants the best result for your cake as possible– TRUST ME SHE KNOWS BEST!) Also Ms. Jenny was so patient with my VERY last minute changes and requests! For all the small details i requested, she delivered! I requested a custom baby with a Mickey Mouse outfit on, and omg it was perfect in every angle! It goes to show how much pride they put into their masterpiece! Compliments also to Ms. Jenny’s baker, if i remember it right her name is Holly? Very nice staff!
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AND WILL DEFINITELY HAVE ALL MY FUTURE CAKES DONE THROUGH JENNYWENNY CAKES!

We have had Jenny make several cakes over the last few years, we have never been disappointed!
Her care and attention to detail really surprised me. Honestly, I didn’t expect that in a ordering a cake. She takes it quite seriously, and is so easy to work with.
Now for the taste… amazing! Again, never disappointed. So fresh and so beautiful. I even gave her a photograph of a bowl that I wanted in the design; she did it! Very special.
Thanks Jenny, every cake has been a memory. I should written this a year ago!

I ordered 2 cakes from jennywenny for my daughters 1st birthday. I loved how they came out, it was perfect! It taste so good, sweet and moist. They were sitting out for a couple hours so it kinda just melts in your mouth ~ always a good thing. I forgot what flavors I ordered but each tier was a different flavor, they were all delicious. My guests really seemed to enjoy it as well. I would order from them again. Thanks Jenny!

Since I do not live in San Diego, but was having my baby’s first birthday party held there, I searched for bakeries online. Hands down, Jenny had the best reviews. I was also very impressed with the pictures of her work… not your typical grocery store cakes or fondant cakes. I decided to hire her for my event, and so glad I did. She was extremely professional and kept in contact with me via email through the days leading up to event. The guests cake was sooooo beautiful!!! The cupcakes equally beautiful! And my daughters smash cake made exactly as I had requested. Everything tasted delicious as well.

Jenny has the most delicious cupcakes I have ever tasted! We went with cupcakes and a topper cake for our rustic wedding and Jenny had a lovely rustic display that fit perfectly with our theme! And the topper cake was so good and reasonably priced! I especially loved the lemon and banana chocolate chip flavors. I would highly recommend her for any event!

Been meaning to write a review but for so busy, we celebrated our twins 1st birthday in March and the theme was Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We have gone to Jenny for all our occasions from baby shower, baptism and now their 1st birthday. I definitely recommend her cakes and cupcakes, they are so delicious and her prices are so reasonable. Also dealing with her was so easy through email and PayPal and she is very quick in replying back. Thanks Jenny for all the wonderful cakes.

Jenny makes my favorite chocolate cake. Hands-​down. Every thing I’ve had from Jennywennycakes had been awesome, and I appreciate how dependable and consistent they are with their quality.
They handled desserts for my baby shower, when I was on a limited-​sugar diet, and made the most adorable and delicious little orange chocolate cakes! I was so impressed that they could accommodate my dietary restrictions and still make something I and my guests were excited to eat!

Jennifer is a wonderful Baker. I have placed a cake order for my three years old son’s Birthday party for the first time with Jenny Wenny Cake. It was Monster theme party. She did amazing job with the cake and the cake decoration. We loved it. I would recommend «Jenny Wenny Cake» to all because of their Yummy Cake, Neat Décor and Wonderful Customer service.

I tried several different bakeries all over San Diego before finding Jenny and her cakes are absolutely the best — no question. I love baking and I know the importance of good ingredients in cake making. Jenny’s cakes are pure, buttery goodness.
My husband and I had the pleasure of sampling maybe a dozen combinations of different cake/​mousse/​filling/​icing flavors at our tasting appointment and they were all delicious. Jenny’s cakes are moist with a tender crumb, and have a very clean taste.
Creatively, Jenny is very open and honest about what does and does not work — you can tell that she is just as excited about the final product as the client is. I had a very particular idea of what I wanted our cake to look like and Jenny did a fantastic job translating a brief description and few emailed photos into the BEAUTIFUL wedding cake I was envisioning. We could not be happier!

I tried 2 mini cupcakes from Jenny at a bridal show and loved them both. The red velvet cupcake was yummy and so was the chocolate one. They were so moist and flavorful. The other cakes she had on display were so pretty! I especially like the small, but adorable two-​layer cake that is perfect for a bridal shower or any other special occasion.

I absolutely love Jenny! I have worked with her as client for my own personal events and also professionally as a wedding and event coordinator for photos shoots, weddings and special events.
She has been able to make some extraordinary cakes for my personal events. I tend to have unusual themes and she enthusiastically takes on the challenge. She is so talented at taking an idea and surprising me with a delicious and fun design.
I have ordered all sized wedding cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and macarons for my clients events and they have been very happy as well. She has also been extremely accommodating for unusual flavors or off menu requests.
I recommend Jenny and her team to all of my friends, family and clients. She is on the top of my vendor referral list and my own party vendor list!

My husband and I recently renewed our wedding vows, 15 years, and we ordered our cake from here. My friend recommended them. We decided to go with the cupcakes and it was amazing. They were moist and delicious. What I liked the most was that they do whatever design you want. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Will be ordering a cake from them again.

I recently ordered a cake from Jenny for my wedding and she did an absolutely amazing job. She is such a nice person to work with and very professional. I would definitely suggest stopping by Jennywennycakes for any type of cake tasting because I believe you will find the perfect cake for your occassion.
The Cake: This was our fourth of fifth cake tasting stop and we were blown away by how moist and flavorful every cupcake sample we tried. We both loved the banana chocolate chip with caramel frosting. All the flavors that we tried, around 8 or so, were all delicious and fresh. We gave her a picture of a cake that we both liked and she exceeded our expectations with how beautiful it was.

Found this gem on Unilocal looking around for a wedding cake. The wedding is coming up but the cake tasting experience was awesome.
Disclaimer: I went for a tasting before eating lunch at noon so my hunger may have influence what I am about to say.
Two of the 6? 8? samples she brought out was potentially the best slices of cake I have ever tasted in my life. My fiancée agrees that the cake was just pure awesomeness and commented «whoever skips out on the cake will be missing out.»
In the end we chose the Hummingbird cake. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Will update after the wedding is over =)

Amazing!!! I can’t rave enough about the wonderful cake they created from a picture and concept I gave them. Would highly recommend if you want to WOW people with an amazing looking cake. Truly talented at what they do. My only gripe is the location was really weird and when I went to drop off the baseball I wanted on the cake it seemed no one knew what I was talking about.
Be sure to place your cake order at least 3 weeks in advance to ensure they can do it!
