It is my Joy to capture every special milestone in you and your families lives. History

Established in 2006.

I have been assisting clients capture their special moments for over 10 years. My journey began by being my high school’s photographer, mentored by two amazing professionals and completing an internship with one. Then came college classes and workshops. I was fortunate to work as a staff photographer for one of the top studios in Bellingham, WA, and the mentoring and workshops continued. Then, Katherine Beth Photography was born. Shortly after, my husband and I moved to Hawaii where I began to (re) build my business. After a few years, my husband got a job transfer and we moved to San Diego. I’d love to work with you in capturing your memories with my photography and look forward to meeting you!

Kathy is simply amazing and very professional. During the photoshoot she took her time and she was never in a hurry. She made sure she took all the pictures that she need. She made us feel comfortable the whole time and was very patient with our two year old! Even if my son was running around the whole time she was able to take clear profiles of him. I think we even went over the hour that was scheduled. But it didn’t matter. The pictures came out beautiful and they were worth the wait. Not only was she good with her clients, she knows how to work the camera. I’m glad I got to work with her and I would love to work with her in the future again. Thanks Kathy!

Katherine is fantastic, very kind and patient! We have a 5 and a 3 year old, hard ages to get them still and looking at the camera when all they want to do is run around at play at this Beautiful Presidio Park. She was great at dealing with them and getting my very silly 5 year old boy to stop making fake faces and smiles and really look at her. I love the photos, she was able to capture their souls! still been silly and playful but their genuine selves… It gives me great joy to see these amazing portraits hanging all over my house! We had so much fun during our short photoshoot for «just because» occasion. Katherine has a very likeable personality and is very easy to work with. 1 hour flew by so quick as we went through 5 spots with different backgrounds. We got our photos within promised time period and were very happy with the results. I loved how natural and playful the photos looked and she caught all the best aspects of evening sun in our hair and faces so beautifully. I would absolutely recommend Katherine to anyone who values good quality photography.

Katherine was incredible to work with! She made my husband and I feel at such ease. We met at Scripps Pier in La Jolla for our maternity shoot… and it couldn’t have worked out any better. We have used a couple different photographers offering special deals and there was not anything special about the others in comparison to Katherine! From my first phone call to my follow up emails she was very attentive and responsive to our family’s needs. During the photo shoot, she went above and beyond our expectations and was able to capture moments unlike other photographers. I also had a photo requests that she was able to arrange as well. Katherine was great and very professional. I left my session for family photos with a very uncooperative 3 year old and newborn thinking there was no way she got any good shots, but was amazed by the results. I’m still not sure how she did it, but there were so many great photos to choose from I had a hard time narrowing it down to what my package included.
