I have been drumming professionaly now for more than 11 years. I offer professional drum /​percussion lessons as well as studio and live session work. I have been drumming for over 20 years, been recording and playing live for 15 years, and been teaching for 7 years with over 5,000 lessons taught and counting. I am big into goal setting and I always make sure that my students not only learn how to become fantastic musicians, but also have fun in the process. I also teach music education, band coaching, teacher training and music/​band consulting. I am dedicated to my customers getting a quality product and satisfaction is guaranteed. I offer Drum Lessons, Drum Set Lessons, Drum Line Lessons, Percussion Lessons, In home Lessons, In Studio Lessons and Drum Sessions, Percussion Sessions, Session Drummer, Session Musician.

History

Established in 2011.

I started this business last year (2011) after working with another local music school in San Diego for almost seven years (McMillan Music School). During my time with McMillan, I was a drum instructor, phone sales person, bookkeeper, teacher trainer, team leader, event planner and coordinator, consultant, and school manager. However, I decided that it was time to part ways and get out on my own to pursue doing more of my own lessons, sessions, events and even some TV/​film work. Thus, JZ Drumming was started.

Business Owner

My name is Jordan Zacharias and I have been passionate about music since I can remember. I grew up singing songs all day, playing plenty of air instruments, and putting on vinyl after vinyl on my dad’s record player. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of trying to break dance to Herbie Hancock, rocking out to Michael Jackson, or enjoying the wit of Weird Al Yankovic. I discovered my passion for the drums at the age of 8 years old, and have been heavily addicted ever since.

Today, I teach drum /​percussion lessons and do session work for a living. I have a beautiful family, a basset hound, and a caffeine habbit. I drum more than ever, teach as many people as I can the joy of music, spend time with friends and family, and love good movies and books.
