Highly recommend Dr. Miya. We are new to the area, and he treated both of my kids (different ENT issues), they both liked him a lot. Dr. Miya is a caring and patient doctor, and his staff is helpful also.

This office was amazing! I was in San Diego for Comic Con and I woke up one morning unable to hear from my left ear. Did everything I could but nothing helped. I called Dr. Miya’s office on a Friday morning with this emergency and asked if there was anyway I could come in to be seen. The ladies there were super helpful to squeeze me in even without any current insurance. Once I got to the office I was seen in about 10 – 15 minutes. Dr Miya was very friendly and personable and was able to quickly fix my problem. I was so happy to find them and be in and out of the office fast so I could go back to enjoying the san diego comic con. They saved my con weekend! Thank you!

Dr. Miya is the nicest doctor in San Diego County. He is so kind, warm, and caring. He’s a really good listener. If you need an ENT doctor I highly recommend him. In this world of cold, impersonal medicine, he is the exception. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Dr. Miya is attentive, caring, and personable. I never mind going to the doctor when it’s a visit here; it’s like visiting a family friend. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

How this practice is still running is surprising. They treat their patients like they are completely insignificant. They have always made me feel like my condition was trivial. From the front desk to the last, I have never experienced such inexperienced, careless people. I went to see Dr. Miya about two years ago, and he misdiagnosed my condition from day one. I have suffered for 2 years with blocked, inflamed and infected sinuses. Even after 10 visits he neglected to order a CT Scan. I was finally given the correct diagnosis by a DENTIST because the blockage was apparent with a dental x-​ray. After I finally had a CT scan done, which confirmed a foreign object in right sinuses, he still didn’t recommend a simple endoscopy. His staff is terrible. They could care less how much pain you’re in and they relay the unimportance of your well-​being. I finally had enough. I now see a qualified ENT who has immediately recommended to perform the endoscopy.

Dr. Miya pinpointed the cause of my intense ear pain immediately. I’d already been to an Urgent Care facility in PB, and was mis-​diagnosed. Dr. Miya’s office staff were able to get me squeezed in for the day and are super friendly and professional.

15 minute visit and a $ 450 bill?!? Dr Miya looked at my nose for 2 minutes and said that he didn’t see anything so he asked if he could stick something in my nose to take a look and boom we were done. Nothing found, everything is normal and I get a huge bill. I’d like to thank my insurance company for covering ¹⁄₃ of the bill, but seriously if you are going to bill someone a ton of money I would suggest saying… «I’m going to stick this in your nose, it will cost you $ 300 would you like to proceed?»

Dr. Miya and his staff are very professional. I was greeted promptly and all made me feel very comfortable. He was very friendly and knowledgable and made me feel at ease considering he was sticking a tube down my nose into my throat!!! Uuugh :) I feel much better knowing my diagnosis and will be happy to refer this lovely crew to anyone and everyone. Thanks

I just visited Dr. Miya for the first time this past Thursday. He was absolutely wonderful. I’ve been suffering from severe chronic allergies, but have had zero help from allergists. I was tested 18 months ago and all my tests returned negative, but my allergic episodes continued. My allergist told me the only solution I had was to use a salt water nasal spray. Well, it didn’t help at all.
Dr. Miya listened to my concerns and gave me several options to try out as a means for relief. He wants to see me in the next 4 weeks to see how option 1 is working out. His hope and his desire to want to solve my issue was greatly appreciated. The allergist just test me and then sent me on my merry way without a care or concern if I had any resolution to my symptoms.
I would highly recommend Dr. Miya.

Scheduled and went to appt with Dr. Miya to work on possible allergy related sinus issues. The wait was longer than I expected. Appt was at 2:30 and I was seen at 3:15 but the staff was friendly and explained they were running behind. Dr. Miya was nice enough and extremely knowledgable on possible causes of sinus issues. He created a plan for me and I’ll be back to see him for a follow up. I don’t schedule Dr. appts often because they seem like a colossal waste of time usually, plus I’m in good health so I hardly have a reason. But in this particular case, I thought I’d give it a shot. We’ll see how it goes.

I was born and raised on Sinus Infections. As a result every two day cold i get turns into a 3-​week infection! This lifestyle turned me into a germ freak therefore i dont get sick anymore. But when i do many doctors gave me weak antibiotics or of all things Flonase! Dr. Miya is the real deal. Im so pumped i never have to fall victim to lousy doctors. This guy weighs all the pros and cons and listens!!! He asked if i ever had sinus surgery or if i would be interested. I told him i would be interested and that i have good health insurance if necessary. After hearing my story he recommended i wait a few years on the surgery. This was music to my ears because i figured he would take advantage of my insurance and rack up a bunch of bills. He will be my sinus doctor for good! Finally a good one!

I’ve had multiple nose surgeries that didn’t fix the problem I was having, so naturally I became miserable and I lost hope for any chance of getting better. I talked to my friend who works for the Scripps hospital, and he gave me Dr. Miya’s name and said that he was awesome. I had decided to give it another chance and I underwent another surgery preformed by Dr. Miya. My problem is gone and I feel amazing. He is the best!!! I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to meet him. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and he cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

Shame on me for not writing this review much sooner. I fly a lot, so keeping my ears from blocking and keeping sinus infections at bay are both VERY important. I love Dr. Miya! I had sinus surgery in early 2009. Everyone I talked to that had this type of surgery said I would need it repeated in a year or so OR that it wouldn’t work. Well you negative naysayers… I feel great and haven’t had any problems since. The office will usually squeeze me in and give me an appointment within a couple of hours or days. Another thing that is important to me is that Dr. Miya doesn’t push drugs on you. He makes a ton of suggestions on ENT care, he just doesn’t give you a prescription and send you on your way. I also never feel rushed in the office.

Dr. Miya is absolutely AMAZING! I went to him after my primary care doctor and dentist recommended him for my tonsillectomy. I had heard that the surgery was extremely uncomfortable and my downtime would be measurable, and I’m not sure how he did it, but I was totally fine and back to normal almost the next day. Not only is he a fantastic, dare I say, magical, doctor, but he is incredibly warm and caring. I was extremely lucky to have such a knowledgeable, friendly doctor get me through a tough surgery. I’ve only been to him once because I moved to SD recently, but Dr. Miya was very personable. I felt like I was talking to a good friend. He even spent a few minutes on small talk, which is rare these days with docs. I was there for something minor… my inner ear was itchy and dry. He was very thorough and prescribed some ointment, as well as giving me plan B and plan C. (The ointment did the trick after a couple of days though!) I really appreciated his bedside manner and the extra time that he spent schmoozing.
