San Diego Gastroenterology

Had an appointment with the PA Abha Bosworth and she made me feel very comfortable and expressed concern for the issues I was having. She took me seriously regardless of my young age and made proper decisions based on my needs. I was nervous at first but relieved after my appointment because I was on the road to getting answers.
I was able to schedule the recommended procedure in 2 days with Dr. Suja Dubois and when I went in the staff was very professional yet very personable. They even made it a point to not sedate me until I have met Dr. Dubois. Just like Abha, Dr. Dubois made me feel comfortable and well informed of what was to happen. On my way out I received a Thank You card from the staff and a «good bye!» from the lady in the front desk. I left with answers and piece of mind.
Bottom Line: YOU’RE IN GOOD HANDS when you come here. It’s an excellent team of doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and office clerks.

Dr. Gaddipati really is wonderful. I want to say that right off the bat. I have absolutely no complaints about him. He is deeply informed and has a very calming manner. If it were just him I getting this rating, I’d give as many stars as I could.
And his office staff are nice, that is true. But they lose major points on the competency scale. After my appointment with Dr. G, I was supposed to talk to a nurse. Dr. G told me that I should wait for her in the exam room. OK, fine. But it took 20 minutes for her to arrive, making me late for a different appointment. No apology or anything. And she gave me copies of papers that Dr. G had already given me that day — which was really confusing.
But anyone can have an off day, right? So I scheduled my next appointment for a month and a half later. In a few weeks, they called and told me that the doctor had to cancel the appointment, and could I please reschedule? I needed to find out what my better half was up to before I could commit to that, so I told them just to cancel the appointment, and that I would call in a few days to reschedule. They were pleasant enough, and said that they would go ahead and do this
One week later, I hadn’t yet rescheduled, and they called me again. I thought that this was a followup on getting me to reschedule., But they were calling to confirm the appointment that they themselves had cancelled just the previous week. I politely (but confusedly) told them so. Again, they were cordial — and the staff member I spoke with said that she would make sure it was cancelled for real this time.
Needless to say, I didn’t go to this appointment because I thought it was cancelled
The next thing I know, I have a bill in the mail. They charged me for a «missed appointment» for my failure to go to the supposedly (twice!) cancelled appointment. Not cool.
Every interaction I had with the staff in this office was agreeable enough. But they kept screwing up – and I am the one who (literally!) paid the price. This kind of lack of competence is just not worth dealing with when I have other options.

Dr. Gaddipati is fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the latest research, takes time to explain everything. It turned out I needed a different type of procedure from what he does, yet he made phone calls on my behalf, conferring with other doctors, calling me personally to give me all the information — just the best care I could ever hope for.
His office staff is great too — his nurse Christina (Kristina?) called me right back each time I left a message and took the time to get all the info to me as well.
In this day and age, it’s so great to see that there are doctors still out there who make the time for such exceptional service. I drove all the way from Temecula (an hour) and would do so again in a heartbeat.
(There is one other Dr. with similar expertise in my area — Dr. Chakrabarty; he’s great as well, and wouldn’t you know it — they are friends, and spoke with each other about my case. They are 2 of the best if you need a Gastroenterologist for an endoscopy or colonoscopy.)
