Super Rude Person!!!
I’ve been talked to her on the phone for a couple of times to finalize the details about my maternity shooting package, and she said she preferred to communicate through emails. After emailing her, she asked me to file the deposit and I said please provide me the instructions. Then she wanted me to go to the previous email, which has nothing attached or any other information. Then I emailed and called her, she hang up on me for three times!!!
I couldn’t believe a highly rated photographer behaved so rude to a pregnant client!!!

If I could give Fangting more than 5 stars I would, in a heartbeat. I booked my college graduation photo shoot with her at Balboa Park, and I was really nervous, since this was my first time ever having a photo shoot. But she was just amazing! She was there on time and helped carry all the props I brought, and she even brought water in case I got thirsty. She really made me feel comfortable and she was so sweet and friendly. She went above and beyond to get the perfect pics. She even laid down on the floor a couple times! The pictures came out beautifully and she edited what I asked. Not to mention her prices are affordable especially for a college student. I am in love with the pictures and have been getting compliments on them. For my next photo shoot, I will definitely be going to Fangting again.

I’m extremely thrilled with the amazing shoot Fangting did for my beach elopement! It was a very, very cold and windy day for a photo session, but Fangting and her assistant were awesome. They even brought us (bride and groom) coffee halfway through to warm up!
I planned my entire trip to San Diego from the other side of the country and even though I didn’t get a chance to meet Fangting in person, she was responsive and extremely quick to answer any questions I had. She sent the draft gallery of pictures from the evening of our event the same day and I couldn’t be more happy with the photos that we will end up with!

I ordered my twins 1 year birthday photo. Her photos are very exiting and my family are really satisfied. In addition, since I got digital data, I could send then to my parents living in Japan. They are also satisfied because of enjoying their granddaughters’ growth.

Fangting is amazing! Not only was she able to accommodate our maternity shoot on short notice, she was fun and easy to work with throughout the entire process. She spent more time on our shoot than the norm to make sure we captured all the great photos we could in the best lighting /​sunset.
She is extremely responsive to all correspondence and we are looking forward to having her do our newborn photo shoot in the near future. Very professional and great quality work all around. There is a reason she gets so many high ratings here — and they are all very well deserved in my opinion. You won’t regret booking her for whatever event you have that requires a photographer.

Fangting is amazing to work with. She has been informative, professional, and very friendly. I am from Arizona, and so I thought that it would be a struggle planning my wedding from a state away. Fangting is very helpful easing that struggle. She has been flexible and patient and helpful. She has recommended other vendors to work with, making my life much easier.
She was great when we wanted to include our pets in our engagement photos. Our pictures are stunning. I even had people request her info from me after posting the pictures on social media. She is very quick to reply to texts and emails. She captured great moments for our engagement pictures and I can’t wait for her to photograph our wedding.

I met Fangting and booked her for my wedding in March. I love the concept of not only her client interviewing her but she also interviews her clients to make sure it’s a good fit. Photography to capture life events is so important and good chemistry is needed in order to produce the best pics, right?
My fiancé is deployed overseas and for the past 6 months I’ve been integrating his dogs with mine, so that they can all cohabitate peacefully. I wanted to surprise him with Christmas pics taken of all the dogs separate and together. The whole shoot with Fangting was great! She’s super patient and has creative ideas. She even brought treats and water for the dogs to bribe them to her bidding :).
This was a great experience and the pics turned out amazing. My fiancé loved them.

I’ve hired fantang twice. One for family photos back in July of 2015 and the next for my son’s first birthday January of this year. I love her work, she doesn’t try to fully stage the photos and she captured moments perfectly. She’s professional and very detailed. I would give her a thousand stars if I could. I promise you won’t be disappointed if you hire her. She is amazing.

Fangting is very professional and quick with correspondence. Her and a second photographer even spent extra hours at our wedding to make she they got all the shots. She had our draft photos available for us to view the day after our wedding! She also edited our choice of photos and sent us our CD’s and album right away (in a very cute box– might I add).

Fangting is amazing and I would definitely recommend her to everyone! I met her about 9 months before my wedding and at our first consultation she was extremely patient in explaining everything she has to offer. I felt comfortable because she is passionate about making the client happy. She was good about keeping in touch with me via e-​mail, texts, and even pintrest to know exactly what I pictured for my big day. Even after my wedding she has been in touch with me frequently to make sure I am happy with everything.
On the day of, she was organized and got to work while I was finishing up with hair and make-​up. She was so cute taking pictures of all the accessory details and I even saw laying on the hotel floor to get the perfect shot! She had great photo ideas and poses so everyone was comfortable and looked natural. I heard from guests at the ceremony she moved so quickly and scooted on the floor to get the best angles! What she did was amazing because the pictures are fantastic. When the night was almost over, one of my friends asked her to take a group shot after she had already packed everything up for the night. Without hesitation, she unpacked her camera so we could take a group shot with my friends that I wanted but forgot all about. That kind of dedication to her client is above and beyond.
Not only is the quality of her work amazing, but she is so fast to get the pictures back to the client! The day after my wedding she sent me some sneak peek photos which was a nice surprise. She is a photographer that pays attention to detail and I am so thankful I chose her to capture the most memorable day of my life!

I actually did not choose Fangting myself. Rather, she was chosen for me by the media outlet I was doing my photoshoot for. Because of this, and the fact that they are not local and made their selection somewhat blindly, I was originally a little apprehensive in their choice. My pre-​photoshoot interactions with Fangting were brief and through e-​mail mostly.
As soon as she stepped on the scene, I could tell why she’s so great at what she does! Fangting is one of the warmest strangers I’ve ever met. She instantly makes you feel at ease and like you are the star of the show. She carried my wardrobe/​jewelry bags and refused to let me lift a finger. She even thought to bring a bottle of (frozen) water so that as the day went on, I would have an icy cold drink.
Fangting was so encouraging and guided me through my first modeling shoot like a true professional. I loved the way she showed me each series of shots when we had finished and asked what I liked best so she could craft my poses and environments to best suit my comfort level. My shoot was so fun and the pictures came out amazing! Because I recommended her so highly, we are hiring her for an informal company event this week. Fangting really is the best!

I found Fangting through Unilocal and there is a reason why she gets so many great reviews. She has an impeccable service and is so easy to work with. My husband is camera shy and our puppy is not always cooperative. Fang knew exactly what to tell my husband to make him at ease and she brought treats our pup. She was so patient with her. She even brought water for us! We hired Fang for our maternity shoot and cannot be happier with the result of the photos.
She got back to our e-​mails promptly from the beginning to the end.
I really appreciated that she took the time to made sure that everything looked good by fixing my hair occasionally and by showing us the pictures from time to time.
I mentioned earlier she had a great service. Well, it’s not often you find a talented photographer who turn the photos around within 24−48hrs of the shoot. She got back to us on the very next day for us to review the photos!!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances we lost all of our wedding photos and were thrown into a panic. We found Fangting, saw her reviews, and hired her for a redo photoshoot (I really wanted those photos!). She was incredibly professional, patient, reasonably priced, talented, and friendly – everything you could hope for in a photographer. Also, there’s always an element of awkwardness when someone is taking photos of you, especially if you don’t know them; Fangting has a very calming and comforting personality that put us immediately at ease, which allowed us to pose how she wanted and somehow look natural!
We only booked her for an hour, but she came early on the day of the shoot and stayed late, making sure we got every picture we missed the first time and even more. She put up with our rowdy bridal party, was willing to work with the few specific photos we had imagined, and flipped from lens to lens to match the lighting with ease. My only regret is that I didn’t find her for our actual wedding because she would’ve been AMAZING.

Fang was such a great photographer! She knows how to capture the special moments with adults and children too!

This is the longest review I’ve ever written but so much of what impressed us was in the details so here it is!
I absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about Fan! From the moment she walked in I knew everything was going to go smoothly. My dress had a thousand hooks on it and she jumped right in to help me out and pinned the boutineer on my husband like a pro.
This girl’s not shy and does what she needs to do to get the shot but she balances it with such a wonderful personality. She’s super friendly and personable while also keeping a close eye on details and timelines. She thinks of absolutely everything! From reminding you to bring a pretty hanger for your dress (which I ended up forgetting anyway lol) to carrying a towel to brush the sand off your feet, and even spare flip flops! She was so kind to stop at a nearby hotel to get us water to make sure we weren’t dehydrated during the shoot and carried all her equipment across the beach and up and down sand dunes several times. By the end she looked exhausted but would never let us put in any work, no matter how hard I tried!
Due to my dress being a tight mermaid fit she had the challenge of getting only standing photos and she did it wonderfully! We still have so many different poses and I love them all. She keeps all your Pinterest favorites on her phone and reviews it several times during the shoot to make sure she gets the poses you want. She outlines the details of everything very well so there’s no surprises and don’t even get me started on how quickly she responds to texts and emails! She offers so much assistance prior to the event as well. We were extremely impressed with her and will no doubt use her services again in the future. Thank you for everything Fan, you are AH-​MAZING! You seriously can’t ask for a better experience or photographs! She goes above and beyond her job to make you feel special, confident, relaxed and well. like a good friend. We now have gorgeous photos and lasting memories to document such a beautiful day in our lives.

Fangting was the most helpful and caring photographer I could have ever had, not only was she an amazing photographer but she always checked in on me to see how I was doing as a bride and made sure I had my timeline together and everything else planned. She did more than her job, and her pictures were proof! I would recommend her to anyone who wants good quality pictures. She is well worth every penny, her love for photography made the biggest difference. I’ve seen pictures done by other photographers for my friends and they said they wished they chose her, I felt like I was in a magazine. I found Fang on thumbtack, and chose her among other photographers. I was looking for a unique style, and wanted pictures that were natural. I wanted a photographer to capture my wedding anniversary, and take photos where we were married. Fang had a variety of couples engagement/​wedding photos that all captured love and natural, genuine happiness. And that is why I chose Fang to take photos of us.
She was very friendly, and was pleasant in capturing our moments on camera. I’m not a photogenic person, but she helped me relax and made it easy.
It was a pleasure working with her and I would recommend her services.

My fiancée and I had our engagement shoot with Fangting R. in Balboa Park on Monday, April 27^th.
She was very good at making us feel relaxed, and she had a lot of good locations picked out. The shoot (with two outfits) lasted longer than we expected, about two hours.
The draft gallery of photos was up on Friday, May 1^st, we chose our favorite images (which was hard because she caught many great moments), and the edited gallery was online on Sunday, May 3^rd. She put the DVD in the mail on Monday, and we received it the following Friday, May 8^th. The DVD had a folder with many of the unedited photos, a folder with the images she edited, and a folder of the edited images with her watermark – for use on social media.
We thought that Fangting R. was a phenomenal value and wish we were staying in San Diego so we could use her again.
