Description

Specialties

Ergo Architecture is a full service architecture firm. Our services include architecture, interior design, design consulting, feasibility assessment, permitting (including coastal, steep hillside, and environmentally sensitive lands) and construction administration. Synthesis Construction is the design/build wing of the firm. Much of our work is custom single-family homes and architectural interiors for bars, restaurants, and creative firms.

History

Established in 1995.

Ergo Architecture is a small firm practicing thoughtful, specific, contemporary design for discriminating and highly involved clients. Our background in architectural history and fine arts infuses our work with uncommon depth, richness and integrity.

Architecture is about the quality of experience, not the cost of finishes. By focusing on the quality of this experience we can work within your budget to create elegant but affordable structures with personality and true architectural character. We work with you to design exactly what you want, only better.

184 exceptional projects since 1995. Cheap. Easy. Gorgeous.

Meet the Business Owner

Steve M.

Business Owner

Ringleader of this venerable institution since 1995. Husband of one, father of two. Just completing construction on an addition to our own home designed and built by the firm. I thought I would learn a lot about construction but learned more about empathy for the client. I also learned a lot by teaching graduate studios at the New School of Architecture.

Honors include American Institute of Architects San Diego (AIASD) Young Architect of the Year Award, AIASD Public Service Award, and election to the AIASD’s Board of Directors. Community service has included teaching in the San Diego public school’s Built Environment Education Program and chairing the AIASD’s Design Awards and Lecture Series programs.
