Cantor Property Inspection has been in business since 1993. Ron Cantor comes from a third generation of contractor’s in San Diego. Prior to opening Cantor Property Inspection, Ron was Vice President of one the largest remodeling contractor in San Diego. Since opening in 1993 Cantor Property Inspection has performed over 6000 property inspections.

Ron with Cantor Property Inspection was a pleasure to work with. We hadn’t worked with him before, as our client personally chose him as her home inspector, but we will certainly be using him as a recommendation for clients in the future! Professional, thorough, to the point, and understanding, Ron has all the attributes you want in a solid home inspector. He found some issues in the home he was inspecting and worked with us in getting them repaired by the other side. He worked with our buyer for reinspections and was truly a pleasure to work with.

I was new to the home buying experience and Ron Cantor was highly recommended by a colleague. My family thought we found a wonderful home and we had already made plans for our new home. Ron spent many hours to perform his inspection. What he discovered was not disclosed by the seller or agent. The house had serious foundation issues that ultimately made us close escrow and not move forward with the house. Ron took hundreds of pictures and his detailed property report was a tool we could easily follow to provide to the seller with requested repairs. He is a valuable asset to the home buyer.

I’m a Realtor, and have worked with Ron Cantor on multiple transactions. I am always impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and honesty. During property inspections, Ron is incredibly thorough and focused. He takes lots of notes and digital photos. He transcribes the notes and photos into a comprehensive, professional, easy-​to-​read and understand inspection report.
Ron has years of experience, takes his time and is very detailed on what he sees during the inspection. You will feel he has YOUR best interest in mind when he inspects YOUR home. I cannot imagine finding anyone better than Ron!

If I could give Ron 6 stars I would! Ron came highly-​recommended to me by both a director and manager I work with. He was on time for our appointment, and I stayed the entire time of the inspection. I was impressed with his thoroughness and attention to detail. I appreciated it b/​c I am highly detailed myself so I have high standards! After he was finished, he explained all of the findings to me, my realtor and the seller’s realtor. I also received my report on Monday morning after he conducted the inspection on Saturday. That’s a quick turnaround time! I also liked his color-​coding scheme; 3 colors, each representing the level of urgency to correct or fix. He had extensive comments as well and the photos were a great addition. I am recommending Ron to anyone I know who needs a home inspector. He does a fantastic job!

Since Mr. Cantor does not return phone calls and seems to have disappeared into thin air after cashing our $ 900 check and NOT providing an inspection report, I suspect that anyone considering him won’t get too far because you won’t be able to reach him. If you do manage to get him to return a call, ask him about the expiration of his contractors license.
Absolutely would not recommend using this guy!!!

I hired Cantor inspection, although it was more expensive, based on my realtor’s recommendation. Now I wish I didn’t. It took them forever to send the report. And after receiving the report and doing my own homework, I found some essential stuff that were missed. Overall, if you’re buying a house, don’t depend only on the inspection and do your home work. I don’t recommend them.

Ron did an amazing job with the inspection of my home. He spent five to six hours performing a thorough inspection of the house and because of his findings I was able to get the price reduced by $ 17k. An investment that that paid for itself 30 times over.
A friend who was using the same real estate agent used the inspector that our agent recommended and the inspection lasted 30 minutes and he found nothing that needed correctling. After moving in he found over $ 10k in problems that needed to be fixed. Never allow your agent to select your inspector!
