I don’t think its ever a good thing to have to call a locksmith but my experience with Block’s Locks was nothing short of awesome. After realizing I left my house keys at my parents house in LA, I had to choose between making the dreaded drive in afternoon traffic to LA or paying for a locksmith so of course I chose the latter. After checking Unilocal and getting different quotes, Block’s Locks gave me the lowest price quote and a check ETA so I jumped on the opportunity. Tony arrived and did everything he could to get my tough door lock to open. He was eventually able to get it open and also made me some extra keys so I wouldn’t have this problem again. His kindness and diligence made the whole experience really great. If you find yourself needing a locksmith in the South Bay area, make sure you give these guys a call if you want great service for a fair price.

My Go To Guy! This man is not only incredible he was a lifesaver! I called him in the morning. He was booked, but, said he would call me before he came and would fit me in. On that day I received the call at 3:30. Larry told me he would be there within 20 to 30 minutes, he was there within that amount of time. He replace the ignition in my car for what he had quoted me on the phone which was significantly less expensive than the other quotes I had received. I received two coded keys, plus an extra key to my car door for half of what the dealership would have charged me. Not only was he professional, on time, he is a very kind man. I would recommend this man to anyone and have recommended him to all.

I may or may not have a bad habit of locking my keys in my car, I have used blocks locks twice and I couldnt be happier with the service I receive. The price can’t be beat, even with microchip keys. I refer them to anyone anytime there is someone who needs a locksmith service.

We’re visiting SD from NorCal and sadly lost our keys in a Home Depot parking lot :(after calling ford dealer they directed me to a gentleman named Larry. He was quick to meet us at home depot and make us a replacement key. $ 150 for key but considering we had no other choice it was worth it. Larry was great, friendly & efficient!

I lost the only key to my Toyota Tundra. This guy made me two new keys for my truck for a little more than half of what Toyota wanted to charge for one, and I didn’t even have to leave my house. Quick and friendly service at a good price. I couldn’t be happier.
If you lost your car key and need a new one do not go to the dealership. Call these guys.

Love him! He is the main person we use at our dealership and can make a key for anything, Just today he made me a special key for a key cabinet I bought. Always a pleasure to work with and very nice :)

Service and cost can not be beat. I needed an electronic key from the dealer who wanted $ 500 for the key, Blocks was able to do it for less than $ 350. Larry went to the dealership, picked up the right sort of key, and met me where my car was parked immediately. He was great to work with, fair, and took care of exactly what I needed. Great experience all around.

well, i had misplaced my keys somewhere between Hawaii and San Diego, and wanted to drive my car after a long 8 months away. i called up Block’s Locks and they helped me out same day, the gentleman that helped me out was really nice and he got the job done as swiftly as he could, and my car was giving him hell. but non the less the price here is fair and he even offered me to reprogram my old keys for cheap if they ever arose up. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PEOPLE, Highly recommend these people.

I lost the key to my 2000 Convertible Mustang at the end of my day and Locks Block’s stayed late to help me. Locks Block’s was professional and personable. It’s rare to find a company that actually cares about the customer, but I found that in Larry. Locks Block’s was not only fair, generous but understanding. If you see Larry, give him a hug for me.

Called another company who said they would be here in 15 min & charge $ 15 for coming out — then they would tell me how much they would charge to get me into my house. 50 minutes & 3 phone calls later I cancelled them & called Locks Blocks. He said he’d be here in 10 to 15 min & gave me a fair quote over the phone. Arrived in 10 min & had me in my house in 5 min. Very nice, honest & professional. I will most definitely call them if ever I need help w/​a lock out! Highly recommend!

Wow, what a jerk… I can’t review the services, I didn’t get that far because this guy was so rude and unprofessional on the phone. Maybe I caught him on an off day, or maybe the other reviews are people he knows… Call someone else.

My friend doesn’t use Unilocal so I will leave a review on her behalf. My good friend had an ignition lock problem on her 2004 Chevy Malibu and I had her call Larry. He sent Dave out to her work and fix the ignition problem for $ 200 LESS than all the other places were trying to charge her. I told her that Block’s Locks sets themselves apart from the rest and was extremely satisfied with her new working ignition lock. no more leaving the key in the ignition and unplugging the battery cable. Thank you very much, guys for all that you do!

We recently lost the key to our ’99 Mustang. The Dealership referred us to Locks Block’s and I was very impressed by Larry’s prompt and courteous service. He made me 2 replacement keys and a gave me a remote (which we had not had in years) for exactly what he told me it would cost. He was a huge help for my family, and I will trust NO ONE else with my lock-​related business. Thanks for taking such great care of your customers!

Called Larry on a Sunday afternoon and he dropped whatever he was doing and came right out within 20 minutes. Re-​keyed our front door for a very reasonable price, told a few jokes while he was working, and was on his way after changing the lock and cutting six new keys. I highly recommend.

Larry was fast, reliable, and professional! Someone stole my truck key from my wife’s key ring and being that we work in the same building, I was afraid someone would go car to car to find the one it would open. Called up Larry and found that his prices were the cheapest in San Diego and he would come to you to re-​key a vehicle. I strongly recommend him for anyone that needs any locksmith needs!

My #2 monster locked our bedroom door; thankfully he was not in the room. I called around and found Locks Block’s to be the lowest in price. He (David) said he would arrive in less than 30mins (IB to CV) and would unlock the bedroom door and even give me a key (awesome since we never had a key to start with). I was at work and David said he would do the work and call me after to run the card over the phone. No other place would start the work until I paid them. I understand «pay first», however having to wait until the office opens to fax me a form isn’t awesome. David was happy to take my payment over the phone and I will keep his number in my contacts from now on. If I ever need another locksmith won’t need to call around! Chances of me calling on David again based on my monsters and their door locking habits! 100%

I have used these guys at various times over the last six years and they have always been honest, fast and reliable. A neighbor recommended them to me for a lost car key and I found them to be slightly less expensive then other locksmiths and a LOT less expensive then the dealer. They showed up right away, fixed my problem, and didn’t try to hassle me on the price either.
I used them again this summer for an elderly family friend who had lost the keys to his car and was getting ticketed for not moving it. Block’s Locks showed up four hours sooner than anyone else claimed they could make it (my friend had already tried calling around from the phone book) and did it for two-​thirds the cost. They are honest and run a solid business — they have my highest recommendation!
