My AC was only blowing hot air. It was 7:00pm and the heatwave was on its way. So I called Bill Howe, left a message with the answering service and received a call back within 20 minutes. I was given a quote for hourly service, which I accepted. I didn’t have to wait long for the repairman to arrive. Laurence went straight to work, checking everything. He asked questions, made me feel like I was part of the process. Thanks for the thorough and friendly service!

We were referred to Bill Howe plumbing and with all the great Unilocal reviews we gave them a try. We needed some work done prior to a new washer/​dryer installation. They were able to schedule us right away. The plumber they sent, David, did a great job. He showed up when he was supposed to — called to let us know a more precise time. He did the work neatly and quickly and at the estimated price. What a pleasure! Bill Howe is now our go-​to company for all our plumbing needs.

I would give an extra star to a team that Bill Howe Plumbing dispatched to my home in Paradise Hills. Team members Edgar and Raul were very professional and very knowledgeable in their craft. The work was neat and impressive. I have had 3 other companies, in the past to repair a slab leak in the same location. Technician Edgar, suggested that they bypass the affected line, being that this was the fourth leak. The re-​route was complicated and difficult. I was amazed at how well that team worked, they made that job look simple with no damage to the interior of the home. Bill Howe Plumbing is fortunate to have a team like Edgar and Raul I would recommend them for ANY plumbing issues.

Mike came by today for an HVAC check-​up. Super professional, quick, and knowledgeable. He pointed out some changes and improvements that we could make in order to keep our AC system running smoothly for longer. I would definitely recommend them and Mike!

Excellent service from Ron. We have used Bill Howe for Air Conditioning repair, water heater emergencies, indoor plumbing, help with replacing a master valve, and replacement of water softener.

I called Bill Howe to schedule an appointment thinking I had an unseen leak. My water bill was higher than usual. Andrew came out, he ran tests, checked my toilets, long story short he found that when he shut off my sprinkler system main, my meter stopped running. The problem is with my sprinkler system and not a slab leak. Thank goodness!!! I don’t even use the sprinkler system due to drought and the system needs an upgrade anyway. He also helped put in a clip to help with the flush inside my master toilet and fixed a faulty faucet in my master shower. What could have been thousands ended up being 2 Hun and some change. I’m going to keep in contact with these guys:)

I will always call Bill Howe for all my drain and plumbing needs. They do a wonderful job and doesn’t over price, not saying its cheap but you get what you pay for! I am a supporter for local family owned businesses and this is a great family owned business! Not too many of those left nowadays. Will use always!

So i was in a weird situation. Had a leak (slow) coming from my guest bathroom and leaked into my neighbors bedroom. (Shared wall). Ron was so patient and informative and helpful, that he deserves a special recognition. He advised me, discussed, and figured out the easiest and safest way to fix the leak. It was a very complicated situation, which he handled with the best of professionalism. Thank you Ron and Thank you Bill Howe…

While out of town, I received a call from the tenants of my rental property reporting a plumbing backup. I contacted Bill Howe Plumbing and spoke with Sarah who immediately eased my concerns. She was professional and reassuring. RJ was dispatched to the property and the immediate issue was resolved within hours. While out of town, having this taken care of in the way that it was came as such a relief, I can’t thank them enough!

I am glad I trusted my cousin Giovanny Martinez who works for the company because even though he was not the one that came out the rep that was sent by the name of Josh Troyer was quick and efficient in the work that he provided. i am not having a very good week as far as plumbing issues with my home. What has made it easier to deal with is Bill Howe Plumbing’s superior work and employees. Sunday night our kitchen sinks started backing up into each other. Called Tuesday morning, the repair happened about 4 hours later (great response time and earlier than scheduled). Javier was pleasant, professional, had great customer service skills and had the sink fixed in no time. Thursday morning we discovered we had a leak at our water meter. Called Bill Howe and asked for a plumber on Friday morning to fix it. The water meter was running, so we knew the problem was on the our side of the meter. Louie is fantastic!!! They called about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment and diagnosed the problem right away. The water is flowing in my home again, thanks to Louie!
Every time I have called Bill Howe Plumbing they have offered superior, professional service. I have tried other plumbing companies, as well as heating and air conditioning and Bill Howe is by far the best.

Oh, Mr Bill and Ms Tina Howe … what an amazing business you run! Yes, you are a very large company but you know what? That only happens if you have well-​trained and courteous employees, excellent solutions for plumbing issues, and very fair pricing.
We had the misfortune of finding out we had mainline problems in our 1938 house a few weeks ago. The drain company recommended the potential of relining the sewer pipe with either Arrow and Bill Howe, just to get a quote from the «big guys with overhead» (meaning BHP) as well. The Arrow salesperson was a complete disaster and we got into a big argument with him about how they could do «trenchless relining» if they were telling us we had to get a 3 foot hole dug and that had about an 80% chance of working and they might have to dig up the whole side of our house. They’re lucky I’m not giving them a bad review on THEIR page.
Anyway, jerk salesperson was still here when I called my hero, Eric at Bill Howe who I had already been in contact with. I was super frustrated with the other company, and Eric came out within 15 minutes to save the day. Eric has a friendly and soothing, yet detailed and clear style of communication and explained exactly what BHP would do. The estimate was higher than Arrow, but he guaranteed it could be done in true trenchless style and took ownership over what would be «his pipe». We had no intention in signing a contract that day, but the alarmist jerk was in complete opposition to Eric so we insisted signing that day.
We had to wait two weeks for scheduling, but the excellent Melissa in the office took great care of us in the meantime, even saying that if a blockage happened in that time, they’d come fix it for free. Fortunately, that didn’t happen but what a nice offer.
On Monday, the Dream Team of Mike and Jim arrived. They were friendly, low maintenance, and self-​contained. Where do they find these people? It must have been how service was in the 50s, it was just top-​notch from beginning to end. In the end, they found a problem where the former owner of our house covered a fitting leak with ELECTRICAL TAPE. Rather than turn a blind eye to something that wasn’t part of the problem, they sent Charles out for a quote.
We were still looking at all of our options, and Melissa and Eric both assured us that the team would figure out a solution. So then Eric, Justin, and another helpful guy (whose name I can’t remember, but wow, your staff is amazing!) came out to do a quick repair at no charge until we can figure out what we do. That will likely be either rerouting or having BHP out again for the fix.
We really cannot rate Bill Howe Plumbing high enough … 10 stars for their service and ownership and responsibility and responsiveness, etc. We will never go anywhere else and if you’re looking for sewer/​mainline relining, save yourself the fight of other companies and just go with the best. Eric, Mike, Jim, Melissa, and the entire relining team!

After having Bill Howe Plumbing replace all the old cast iron drain under my house, I was still left with the 90 feet of old drain from my front yard to the city sewer. The drain was old and full of cracks. It was eventually going to collapse and my options were to either dig up the yard, sidewalk, and street and replace the pipe or go with the epoxy lining. Needless to say, I elected to go with the epoxy lining. It wasn’t cheap, but I really didn’t want the hassle and mess of digging up 90 feet of old pipe, not to mention dealing with the city for permits and such.
Bill Howe sent me the team of Journeyman Plumber and Lining Specialist Justin Gould and his assistant James Serrano. They planned to do the lining in 4 sections over a 4 day period. Well, nothing ever goes smooth with my house and on the second day the tube which inflates the lining popped while it was in the tube. This is a very rare occurrence, but normally it would mean digging up the pipe to get the liner out. However, Justin acted quickly and was able to extract the whole liner and tube, saving the day and saving Bill Howe a lot of digging on their dime.
Anyway, the rest of the sections went in smooth and I now have newly epoxied drain line which I don’t have to worry about as Bill Howe insures it for 15 years. Like I said, it wasn’t cheap (around $ 120 per foot of drain), but they did give me a military discount. One good thing about the lining is that the work periods where we cannot use the drains are very minimal and we always had full services of our drains by the end of each day. If you have old drains which need to go then I highly recommend that you call Bill Howe and consider the epoxy drain liner as an option. They can save you a lot of digging and headache. Even if some other company told you that the drain cannot be lined you should call Bill Howe for a second opinion because they can sometimes line drains that other companies cannot. Thank you Bill Howe!

Ok. our toilet clogged at my work. How all these stories start. I called Bill Howe from the catchy commercial of course. They costumer service rep who helped me was super helpful and very friendly. She understood my explanation for the situation (which wasn’t very good btw lol). A tech names Clarence and Victor came out to save the day. They gave me the fee prior to starting and were able to even crack plumbing jokes! Weird right. They were both very knowledgeable and efficient in their work. Not only did they fix what was going on but they cleaned up the area after. They were able to do all this with a positive attitude which to me would be hard to do I mean its sewage.
I will never call anyone except Bill Howe. Honest and fast. Thanks Bill Howe!

I am so impressed with the level of competence and the level of transparency I observed, that I have to comment. I was told i had two breaks in my sewer lateral. Almost $ 7000 to excavate and reline. Eric came and told me they have a better technique and could do it for half. Sold. When they got there, they discovered the pipe length was shorter than expected. I would never have had any way of knowing this; but they voluntarily told me AND reduced the price accordingly by $ 1000. This showing of integrity is not something often seen

Ask for Saul best plumber in San Diego. He knows just what to do for any plumbing problem you may have, also very pleasant.
I will ask for Saul when my apartment building has a problem.

Called to get an estimate on plumbing for a remodel. Was told the cost would be 151/​hour. Does not bill by the job. When you are doing a large project its best to stay on budget and get bids based on entire job–
If this were a quick, small job hourly may make sense– but not for larger projects.
If I could Bill 151/​hour, I would move like Tim
