Established in 2010.

Through handling audio visual services for productions of many sizes, we realized that there was a demand for professional and prosumer audio visual rental equipment in the San Diego market. We strive to create an easy and affordable alternative to the high prices of most hotels and events spaces. When wanting to create a enjoyable atmosphere for any corporate event, special gathering or public address, we have what you need. We carry sound systems, projection packages, lighting for stage and décor, stage drape, outdoor movie packages and more. Robert did an amazing job with helping us out for our event. This company went above and beyond to meet our expectations, and then beyond. We had a minor issue, but Robert and his team responded to us very quickly and have resolved it. These are the guys to go to for your event AV needs!!! We rented 16×9 ft screen and 8000 Lumen projector. Great combo

Another 5 stars for AV Rent! They recently set up all our video, audio and lighting for a 4 day resort event and they couldn’t have been better. They absolutely exceeded expectations when it came to the equipment and the set-​up, even down to details like neatly taping down wires and making sure power-​strips were easily accessible. They were super flexible and really went above and beyond in every area. The equipment was top-​notch and they provided everything we needed, as well as thinking of every possible pit-​fall — leaving us with extra batteries, cords and more. They also made sure I was comfortable with how to use all the equipment before they left. Prompt, professional, flexible — I run out of adjectives describing how happy I was with AV Rent.

I needed to rent a projector screen at the last minute for a meeting. Robert and his staff were awesome in helping me get what I needed at a moments notice. Customer service was great. Robert conducted this all while traveling out of town. He made sure we got what we needed when we needed it. Went to pick up the screen at their warehouse and the staff there were awesome. The screen was easy to set up. The price was great. Our agency will do business with them again.

I came in to town on business and needed a large monitor for demonstrations and Brannon came in and even delivered to my room! He delivered far and above my expectations, even giving me things he thought I might need (which I DID end up needing). And when plans changed and I needed them to pick up the equipment a day early they came through again and picked up from my room. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. I’d definitely be using them again. Customer service is A+

I rented a projector for an out-​door Movie night for my daughters 18th Birthday…
New nothing… Rob the owner set me up… made sure I had everything I needed… Plus things I never thought of. gave me his cell number incase I had any problem…
Needless to say I did… Had to call him and he walked me through with a quick easy step and we were set… my daughter and her friends loved it… They played Movies and Music Videos all night long!
I rented the equipment again the following wk for my Sons 20th… I was a pro by then and the set up is really pretty strait forward… We set his up for multiple gaming on a huge screen that I set up with a sheet over our garage door. My son and his friends
had a great time!

As a 30 veteran of TV and Video Production, I’m familiar with the gear, how it goes together and how to run it. This time my needs were simple, a little PA system to play some music and run a couple mics through for a small wedding.
I surfed the net and launched 3 emails to various vendors to get an idea of what I would have to spend. One company never responded, one took over 24 hours, and one got back to me within 1 hour of my initial inquiry. Their price was slightly higher than the «over 24 hours» guys, but their promptness, and obvious knowledge were impressive.
Elizabeth put together a couple of quotes for me, and we got all the paperwork (credit card, deposit) done over the internet. She helped put together my final list of equipment, with flexibility to feed the mixer with CD players or CD player and laptop combo.
I set an appointment to pick up everything, and arrived 15 minutes early. Rob was there to greet me with all the equipment ready to go, including some extra items which allowed me even more flexibility than I had requested.
I also showed up early to return the gear (which by the way was super clean and functioned perfectly) and there were no problems.
Start to finish, a perfect transaction, they not only met but exceeded my expectations.
The next time I have a small project like this or a really big one, I only have one phone call to make.

I needed to rent a projector without really knowing what I was doing. I received great advice and help from the owner himself and a rental price that was much better than other places I had investigated. I was so pleased that I decided to join Unilocal and write my first review. I will definitely go back to AV Rent San Diego if I have any need to rent video, audio, or lighting/​stage equipment for work or a party.
