Classic Party Rentals

I was planning for my niece’s sweet 16 and was in need of a popcorn machine. I used the kettle corn seeds and drizzled it with some oil and topped it off with sweet apple butter and sprinkled it with some sea salt and the result is amazing. Renting the popcorn machine from Classic was simple and easy. No clean up, no mess. I used the popcorn machine for 6 hours straight and served over 40 guests. Great quality and price and best of all the staff (I think it was Liana) was very friendly and even I was only renting a popcorn machine, I was still given lots of attention. This shows that they truly care about their customers. Thanks again. I will be sure to come back for other rental items such as chairs, farm tables, linens, plates and silverware for my own birthday bash.

I’m in the midst of wedding planning mania (big day is in October). I’ve been meeting with different vendors and deciding who to hire. I made an appointment to view linens, chargers, and lounge furniture with Classic Party Rentals last week. They came recommended by my wedding coordinator, my best friend (who’s an event manager), and our hotel. Unfortunately, I was less than impressed with my interaction during my consultation.
I’ll keep is short and simple:
— They only take appointments on weekdays before 3pm. Are you kidding me? Not every bride is unemployed or relying on a wedding planner.
— The gal that helped me was not very helpful. When I went into the appointment, I planned on being there for an hour discussing linens and colors and textures, etc. I was hoping she could help me bring my vision to life. That didn’t happen. She basically asked me what I was looking for, offered some half-​hearted opinions and that was it.
— The girl helping me kept yawning and was super uninterested in being there.
— They don’t have any lounge furniture available to view in-​person. This isn’t that big of a deal but couple it with the above experiences and you get 2 stars.
Bottom line — we went with another company. One that I felt was really invested in helping me have the best wedding I could.

Cam and I decided to use Classic Party Rentals on a recommendation from our catering manager for our wedding. I’ll be honest and say that my parents managed all of the transactions with Starr (thanks Mom and Dad!), but I will say that everything turned our really nicely.
My only issue is that you can’t make an appointment on a weekend. Now, I know that people hate working weekend and a lot of events happen on weekends, but it was still a little frustrating to have to move some of my meetings around just so I could take a look at what I was renting. That being said, it seemed that my Mom and Dad had no issues working with Starr over email and everything was set up perfectly, so I can’t complain too much.
I’m really thankful that our catering manager invited Cam and I to go to several weddings to see what the setups would look like because it really helped finalize what I wanted for our wedding. For instance, once we got our head count finalized, we realized that there was a much better table set up than what was initially proposed (i.e. 3 rows of tables instead of 4).
As far as I am aware, everything needed was there and we paid extra for 10am delivery, which happened, so everything was good on my end. We also paid extra for the chivari chairs, which I was pretty happy about, even though they are significantly more expensive because they just made everything look more elegant.
I’m posting some pictures of our set up, but the only things we rented from Classic were the chairs, tables, linens, and heat lamps. The lighting was done by Matt Phipps (Choice Entertainment), the china and water glasses were provided by UCSD Catering, and the centerpieces and wine glasses were provided by my Mom (best Mom ever). UCSD Catering helped with setting up everything on the tables and ensuring the counts were correct.

My experience with Classic Party Rentals started out great. Cinzia is amazing and she really knows her inventory. We met at their office and picked out colors and styles for our linens, ceremony and reception chairs. We spoke a few times to make some quantity and color adjustments and were paid up before the wedding. I would definitely recommend her.
On my wedding day the chairs all showed up as promised but I got a call that half of the linens were delivered in the wrong color (everything showed up in grey rather than half being a gorgeous eggplant color we had ordered). The last thing a bride wants to hear while getting ready at her wedding is that the rentals are messed up.
The groom immediately called Raphael’s Party Rentals and they not only had what we were missing but was able to have it ready for someone to go pick up in less than an hour. They saved the day!
Classic did give us a full refund for the items that were not delivered.
I never like to write anything but stellar reviews but the wedding day is not the day to mess up a delivery from a warehouse outside of the city of San Diego.

I worked with Willie from Classic Party Rentals to help with our set-​up needs for our outdoor wedding in November 2013. Willie was very helpful and the only reason we used their services was that Willie very familiar with the wedding venue and set-​up. He responded back to me in timely manner and edited many invoices along the way to get everything we needed. They did a good job in setting up the layout and came back to replace an older broken outdoor heater lamp. I took 1 star off because the prices are on the much higher end than other rental places, but I was very pleased with their overall service.

Classic Party Rentals. CPR, is our go to rental company for all of our corporate events. The customer service is outstanding because of their flexibility. All special events have changes and CPR makes them happen. The equipment is consistant lay clean and the delivery guys are friendly and helpful.

i just had my first party at my house and i needed someone who could come in and provide it all, be knowledgeable about options, be responsive and a pleasure to work with. Cris and her team from here were incredible. such good service from start to the end. can’t wait until i have something to do again, i will go straight to cris at classic party rentals

We visited a number of rental places and Classic Party Rentals was definitely the best. Their prices are a little higher than some others but the selection and service makes up for it. I brought my mother and sister to go with me to pick everything out. They have a room set up and have mostly everything there so you can actually see what it is you are going to be renting. They put together the table so I could see what everything looks like together which was very helpful. I mostly worked with Erin who was great with the many revisions and changes we made. They also give you a diagram of your venue with everything laid out so you can see how everything will fit in the venue. That was really cool and of all the other rental places I went to this one was the only one that offered that. On the day of the wedding everything was set up perfectly just as expected. They also had these amazing blue table clothes that really added a lot to our wedding. Thanks!

This past weekend my previously booked party rental company canceled my order due to overbooking. So, I had to scramble to find 7 replacement belly bar tables for a very popular company holiday party weekend. Luckily Classic Party Rentals was able to take my same-​day order, but unfortunately the quality of the product we received was not acceptable. The table bases were missing the levelers so the tables were extremely unstable. Not to mention that because the levelers were missing the bottom of the bases were metal and not suitable for the hardwood floor that they needed to go on. I had to run to the hardware store last minute to fix these tables and it added a lot of stress to the evening. When I notified Classic Party Rentals and even sent them pictures of the condition the tables were in, they basically blew me off and left me high and dry. I will definitely not be renting with this company again. Next time I would suggest renting with a company that you can trust for your special event, and I definitely wouldn’t trust them again.

I’m details-​obsessed and a perfectionist. Hopefully those with these same characteristics will especially appreciate this review!
Husband and I used Classic to rent gold chiavari chairs with white tie-​on cushions, white Grecian columns for altar area flower arrangements, and an L-​shaped drapery unit for our October wedding. Corinne was our Classic contact over the course of many months and was very nice.
MINUS 1 STAR:
The delivery guys set up the rentals and left the venue without giving me a chance to review their work or the delivery paperwork. I was at the venue but wasn’t contacted. Turned out the drapery arrangement had been set up in the wrong configuration and the metal parts of the apparatus – we paid extra to have all metal parts wrapped in a white material – were fully exposed. The guys returned fairly quickly and were apologetic, which I appreciated, but their mistakes cost me a precious hour of wedding morning set-​up time. I also had to re-​tie the vast majority of the bows on the chair cushions as the bows had been tied inconsistently and unattractively. Within a week we were refunded a small amount of the set-​up fee to make up for the hastily tied bows, but I suggest that if you’re as particular as I am you opt to tie your own bows.
MINUS 1 STAR:
I wasn’t very pleased with the condition of the chairs and cushions. Some chairs looked pristine, but others were really scratched up. Some cushions had lovely big bows, and other cushions had ratty small bows that weren’t at all pretty to look at. Apparently I should have told Classic that I expected everything to match!
Also, I have to say, I found myself managing this vendor quite a bit as I planned my wedding. Information wasn’t always forthcoming, and more often than not I had to follow-​up to get answers to my questions.
And there you have it – 3 stars. I’d probably use Classic Party Rentals again but would communicate expectations regarding the condition/​quality of the rentals very clearly the second time around.

Laurie & Francesca are awesome!!! Any time I need something I cant find– they do. I highly reccommend them for any hard to find rental item– they are fantastic!!!

Always a pleasure dealing with these folks! I’ve used them a few times now for various oddities needed for events and they have always come through for me.

Erin Regan-​Kaminski was amazing to work with. She obviously knows what she is doing when it comes to giving suggestions on spacial planning, dance floor sizing and lighting for events. Their pricing was reasonable and their items were of much better quality than the other vendors I looked at. Their delivery, setup and breakdown team was on time and professional and very easy to work with. My mother and I changed our invoice on Erin approximately 100 times in the last two weeks and Erin never flinched– very impressive! I have already suggested a friend of mine rent from them for a baby shower we threw– they are pure quality!

Classic Party Rentals is the best out there in my book! I’m an event planner and have used Classic for a wide variety of events, kids parties, weddings… large and small budget, birthday parties, retirement parties, BBQs. I work with the team of Erin and Corinne and could not ask for a better, more friendly, speedy and reliable pair of ladies!
You may save a bit of money by going with another rental company but it’s not worth the headache of having to send back torn and mismatched market umbrellas, doing a last minute run to get the linen you actually had ordered, running around town for propane for faulty heaters, waiting in a panic for a late delivery as guests begin to arrive, staying late at a venue waiting for pick up… trust me!!! Classic Party Rentals is top notch and a pleasure to work with.
Small story… I had a bride do a walk through 2 days before her wedding to see the ballroom at a lovely San Diego Golf Club all set up for her wedding… the linens were badly wrinkled and lap length exposing the ugly table legs. I called Corinne (Erin was out on leave :)) and she had 14 of the most lovely floor length linens on a truck from LA that night, picked them up the next day and had them on the tables in time for set up the day of the rehearsal. Priceless!

Impeccable… on time… efficient…fast set up… brilliantly white clean linens… quality glassware, even the standard flatware had a nice weight to it. I’m glad our caterer Tapenade worked with them on our behalf to coordinate everything needed for our wedding. Very professional people.

I had a great experience with using Classic Party Rentals for my October 2009 wedding. We rented all the chairs for the ceremony, as well as the tables and chairs for the reception. Their prices are comparable to other rental places. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH! Leah was great helping me determine the best delivery method to fit our budget and quickly resolved the one minor problem we experienced. Thanks for making our wedding planning EASY!!!

This is a trippy office… It’s set right at the northern edge of the Miramar Air Station. The office is vast with 5 or 6 desks where people can get helped and a big warehouse where you pick up your stuff (WILL CALL).
The walls are adorned with beautiful pictures of some of the events that they have organized… really nice stuff.
They were pretty friendly and helpful… It did take a little while to get helped, but apparently that seems to be a computer issue, as they took a while trying to figure out whether the two banquet tables we requested were in stock or not.
Can’t really say whether their pricing is competitive or not, but they seemed rather reasonable.
