Incredible value, customer service and expertise. JJ and team helped me set up and execute an incredible audio and visual design for a hundred plus person holiday party! I rented the best projector available at an incredibly reasonable price… Just shop around a little bit and you will see what I mean. The team helped me set up the system and offered their cell phone for any issues I needed. They were incredibly helpful. Last year I used one of their competitors and the experience was mediocre at best. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION EVER! Book them today for any audio and visual needs!

I took my JBL PRX 615m speaker to get repaired on July 1^st and JJ gave me a call on July 6 that it was ready to pick up. As a mobile DJ here in San Diego it’s important to get your gear as soon as possible. I’ve taken my speakers to get repaired elsewhere (actually the old spot they bought out) and sometimes it had taken as long as a month or more. Thank you once again you have a customer for life.

I cannot say enough about how awesome these guys are. I rented microphones for a show I was directing and they spent an hour explaining everything to me, threw in other options for free in case they didn’t work, and even came out to grab my stuff from my car since I had a sleeping baby in the backseat… So friendly and helpful!

BEST idea EVER! We rented speakers which plugged into our phone or iPad or headphone plug. They showed us how to set up and take down. Sound was amazing and price VERY reasonable.

We rented 2 speakers, a mic, and ipod adapter for our company Christmas party. The service was quick and friendly. The gentleman made sure everything worked in front of me and showed me how to properly use it all. Returning was easy as well. Prices were AMAZING. We will be sure to always use them for our future needs!

My husband and I rented some stuff here for our wedding (microphones, speakers, etc.). They were very helpful, as we didn’t know what we were doing. They were as flexible as possible with the dates that we rented and returned equipment, and they talked us down from renting things we didn’t really need. Many businesses would rent it to you anyway because, hey, it’s your money, and if you want to waste it, that’s not their problem! Not this place. They cared more about giving us what we genuinely needed than making a tad more money off of us. My husband was insistent that I write a review for them, since our experience was so efficient.

Rented a wireless sax mic for a show (mine got lost on tour – new one in the mail thanks to music gear insurance!) and they had a selection of prices and models. I went with the one I’d used before, and the guy there demoed it to show it works, even threw in a spare battery (which I didn’t need, since the battery in the transmitter had almost a full charge). no hassles, no problems, just good times!

These guys really know their ish & the prices are very reasonable. It’s hard to find knowledgable sound guys without a huge ego. Thank you Audio Design for being one of the few businesses in San Diego that don’t rip people off.

Great place to rent AV equipment along with a great price and they didn’t charge me on the extra wires and cables i needed for the equipment. The people are friendly and profession and can help you if u know nothing about this crap. They really help my event to be almost successful. Glad i wasn’t the one who fuck it up

I was at the 94.9 Independence Jam last night and I just wanted to say that Jeff on the Red Bull venue did an excellent job. He ran the boards for I believe all the concerts on that side. I watched Joywave and Bad Suns and everything was right on target. I also liked how Jeff got the people who were waiting ready for the next band to play. He played appropriated songs that engaged the people. He kept the wait fun, interactive and interesting.
I cannot however say the same for the main stage… J Roddy Walston and The Business –the sound was off and there was a lot of feed back with the mics. I like the band so I was okay with the performance. Maybe someone should l have pulled back the speakers or gave suggestions for lead singer– J Roddy Walston where to rock out to and where not to.
Also, I found the music from the main stage before Phantogram to be very obscene and very insensitive to women. I am a lover of all kinds of music– however there is a specific place and time for certain songs. This was a alternative rock/​rock concert and the music that was played during the last set change and preparation for Phantogram was very disappointing. So for me this is where the fifth star was lost. They were children and elderly at this concert and the lyrics in the music were not appropriate. Perhaps music played by 94.9 radio station could have been played for the eagerly awaited fans such as myself, it mostly likely would been easier and safer choice of route.
***However the show for Phantogram was right on key Music, Lights, and Sound. So Kudos to the technicians for the that show. She was loud, clear, and no much feedback at all. So thank you AD.***

My wife and I held our wedding in San Diego and we needed a PA system with speakers. This was the BEST price in town. And their customer service was INCREDIBLE.
We arrived to San Diego late and there was bad traffic. I called and spoke with someone (I’m sorry — I cannot remember his name) and told him the situation. We needed the system because our wedding was early the next morning. He was very understanding. He said he had a gig to get to but could meet me later that night at 8 or 9pm.
I thanked him profusely and we set up a time for me to come get the system. I gave him a tip for his troubles. He was so helpful and hooked us up with some really nice equipment.
We had a live singer and guitar at our wedding and this sound system was crucial to making our day as special as it was. The day turned out beautifully and Audio Design helped diminish the stress and worry!

After all these years, they’re still the best at what they do in San Diego. If you’re in need of anything related to audio or visuals, whether for a backyard BBQ, a wedding, or a full on rock show, these guys will make sure it goes off without a hitch!
