ARK Management

Yes, now I serve on the BOD and my perspective has changed. Vicki was right. It’s way worse than I could have ever imagined. If your HOA Board is capable of reading and rational thought, I would look elsewhere for a management company.

Prior to working with Vicky at ARK Management, we had nothing but issues with the HOA and prior Property Management company. Yet when Vicky and ARK became our management company we were able to communicate, work together and resolve a problem that had been lingering for well over 2 years and was taken into litigation… and it took Vicky and her team less than 30 days to accomplish what we had been asking the prior management company to do for the prior 2 plus years. GREAT follow up… GREAT communication… GREAT knowledge. If only ARK would have been the management company the first time around so much heartache, pain, money and time wasted could have been avoided for all parties.

ARK Management managed our HOA while we were living in San Diego County. During that time, I never experienced any problems with ARK Management. I realize that a management company has a huge responsibility to their clients and their goal is to provide quality service. I felt that I received quality service from ARK when I called their office a few times with some concerns that I saw in the neighborhood. All of my concerns were handled quickly and professionally. Based on my experience, I enjoyed living in San Diego and hope my next HOA experience will be just as helpful and professional as ARK.

OMG!!! They are really the worst. Such simple and small things takes too long and it is almost impossible to get things done. I never understand why people do not do their jobs since they get paid for it… NO NEVER RECOMMEND IT!!! Trust me having a little management team from the home owners, could do much better job then them… Unilocal should consider having a 0 (zero) stars for this kind of companies.

As a former board member and lover of my community, I am happy that there is someone like Vickie to help the whole community run smoothly. Always extremely friendly and full of life, it is nice to be able to work with someone calm and collected and able to keep things on track. I would recommend ARK highly and I look forward to working with them in the future

ARK Management and our accounting firm worked together for a large association in Escondido for about 2 ½ years. As the general accounting manager, I found the ARC on-​site managers and the executive manager consistently professional, reliable and a pleasure to work with. ARK also provided accounting services to other HOAs which technically made us competitors. However, we experienced no issues with us contracting directly with the mutual client which tells me that ARK has respectable business ethics. Frankly it was refreshing to work with their team and I would not hesitate to work in a partnership situation with them again.

Ark management is an extremely professional company to work with. They are very knowledgeable and well liked among their peers.
Lastly, if you’re looking for a management company please consider ARK as they are always going to look after your association

It is astonishing how hypocritical individuals can be. I am referring to Becky T’s, (phony?) 5 Star review she credits ARK with. She along with the president of the board were repeatedly shocked and disappointed discovering the huge messes in the office: incompetent performances by the onsite staff, unacceptable board packets, excessive absenteeism, no follow through of the General Manager being present three days per week according to the contract, no walking the premises to check compliances in keeping the property in an acceptable condition, poor record keeping, (they lost my $ 500 deposit check required to rent the Club House and was never found), G.L. Account problems, etc., etc.
I do not have any of this information from Executive Seesions. I learned and saw a lot serving our community being an «elected» board member for four years.
On two separate occasions, Ms. T. had expressed to me personally that she never liked the general manager including the onsite manager. She also mentioned several times to me that the president has thrown her under the Bus (and claimed that she is still doing it at the time she was in my house) to make herself look good on the expense of Ms. T.
My question to Ms T. is: ARK being the flawless management company you are trying to convey by giving them a 5-​Star rating be voted out by Sarah G., President, George v.H., Vice President, and you, Secretary/​Treasurer? Are you implying that the three of you made a mistake? Why would three people deprive the members from receiving excellent/​professional true and tried Service that you imply we had?
Don’t think for a second that you can write what you wrote and not get called on the carpet. You used the word «rogue.» We’re you using this title referring to yourself? Get REAL Ms. T., it doesn’t take an Einstein to see through you.

It is my pleasure to recommend ARK management. The company maintains the highest quality of customer service, technical knowledge, and professionalism.
As a Board Member and 21 year homeowner, I have been impressed with ARK’s ability to deal with disgruntled and rouge homeowners/​board members who are capable of the most shocking and vicious behavior. These individuals take pride in «stirring the pot» regardless of how much it negatively impacts the community. Unfortunately, many communities seem to have a few of these.
Time and time again, ARK demonstrated their ability to maintain professionalism regardless of this behavior. A key principle at ARK worked on the site previously with a different company and she was personally invited back to manage our community again.
Emerald Heights has benefited greatly from ARK’s technical knowledge as well as their commitment to to come in and «clean things up» when needed.
We are a beautiful 21 yer old community of 690 homes that has been expertly managed. You would never know how old this community is, since it has been managed and maintained so well.

I would highly recommend ARK Management to anyone looking to bring professionalism and smart business practice to their community. We’ve got some crazy people in our neighborhood and ARK makes their «stupid» much less painful.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: The office staff has always been very friendly. We have quite a few «grumpy folks» in our community and despite what hell they bring on any given day, the office staff always greets them with a smile and compassion. They are professional and do whatever they can to help any of our homeowners. Our current office manager deserves a medal for the abuse she takes and her uncanny ability to be friendly regardless. Anyone who thinks they have «horrible customer service» is most likely one the «grumpy folks» who thinks they are always right and who prefers to argue rather than to listen to the answers to their questions. Some of the homeowners who have lived here a long time, remember the days when we didn’t have a professional management company so board members could vote personal benefits out of the Association treasury and bully anyone who complained. ARK has brought a spine to our current board and many «good ol’ boys» don’t like that.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: ARK has been with our community for several years now. Our community is 40 years old and is in desperate need of a renovation due to years of homeowner board members trying to make friends by keeping assessments low and not investing in the health of our buildings. We have had 40 years of band-​aid fixes and cheap remedies that can no longer continue to be patched. When we hired ARK, they went to work immediately studying what needed to be done and consulting expert engineers for guidance. We now have all of the information we need to renovate our property — streets, buildings, irrigation, the works! Now ARK is working on various options to finance this renovation without making any of the homeowners bankrupt. They have done an amazing job with a herculean task! Anyone who thinks they have «questionable management skills» clearly doesn’t understand what is required to manage/​maintain 440 units.
