History

Established in 2004.

The company first opened at the Mission Valley mall in San Diego in early 2004 when the majority of our customers had Nokia 5190⁄6190 with custom housing and colored led’s. In 2006, we moved to a larger location on Friar’s Road where we changed our services to include cell phone repair and selling of unlocked Phones and used phones. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all corporate and individually owned cell phone companies like AT&T, T-​MOBILE, SPRINT, VERIZON, CRICKET, and BOOST. Since then we have grown to 4 locations in San Diego and are number#1 in repair and unlock. We warranty all our work. Come in and check out what we have to offer.

I went in here today to get my phone fixed that has been messed up for months since I dropped it multiple times while overseas. The owner is super cool and the other 2 people working as well they even gave me advance on questions I had about switching my phone plan. I got a screen protector, my screen fixed and mic fixed on my phone since I dropped it so hard the mic broke and Siri no longer was talking to me. I would recommended this place to anyone in SD

These guys are awesome! I absolutely recommend them to anyone! I dropped my phone today its screen broke badly, then I just walked in here and after 30min my phone looked better than it looked before! They changed the whole screen in minutes! Yayyy! Thanks sooooo much!!!

Awesome! In every aspect. Ask for Mr. Leif not only are their rates great but they’re super quick. Unfortunately I had to pick up my phone until after work but they finished repairing my screen within 30 min. They’re super friendly yet professional as the Same time. They’ll work with you in the best way to benefit you because they understand what it feels like to not fully have the item that’s stuck to our hands all day. Def would recommend for you to come in and fix you device or simply grab a case or screen protector to protect your cellular device.

These guys did a data recovery on a Samsung phone that was so damaged that Verizon said it was impossible to work with it. Nonsense! A-​Z Wireless worked magic and recovered thousands of emails, contacts and photos.
I highly recommend them for any kind of service on your phone or tablet. They sell cases and other stuff, but you can get those lots of places. It’s all about the service!

A bunch of high school kids run this crappy place. Their cases are cheap and they sell you broken ones and try to pass it off as a «deal». They took advantage and overcharged me for a screen protector. Two weeks after placing a screen it started to crack! When I went to have it replaced they took the screen protector off and didn’t replace it because they claimed they didn’t charge me for a screen protector the first time but they indirectly did by up charging me for a broken case! They are crooks. Go somewhere else!

I will never come here again. Got greeted by a stuck up employee that insisted my 5s was an iPhone 4 and gave me such attitude. I actually walked out in less than 5 minutes. Chick should be fired. I have never been treated so rudely at this store. I should’ve asked for the manager. Girl needs a lesson in customer service. Won’t be going back. Lost my continued business.

I’m not a cell phone aficionado. I get whatever is cheapest at my cell phone provider’s store. When I dropped my outdated phone and lost the backplate, the only place that had a solution was A to Z. They didn’t have a backplate, but a rubber cover that did the trick, for just a couple of bucks.
So when I got a new phone, I came here to find a way to protect it. My phone is a current Samsung model but lower end. I happened by on Black Friday, and they were having a BOGO sale.
Unfortunately, their selection was pitiful, just a few plain, ugly cases under an alternate name I never would have found without help. However, Sonny did help me with a glass screen protector, which she applied (I never would have gotten it that perfect!), with a discount for checking in on Unilocal.I would definitely come back.

GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! My screen cracked before a flight and with my boarding pass on my phone I needed a quick fix! I don’t remember his name (even though I asked knowing I would write this review.) He was in his 20’s, slim, wedding band, and a Chargers fan! Whoo! Customer service was fantastic! I dropped it off and was told 20 min and it was done in less! No issues with it thus far and it has been about 3 weeks. Highly recommend!

I want to complement the staff here. I was having issues with my iphone 5c (background story: my phone cuts in and out intermittently saying «No SIM») and apple said that there was water damage and there was nothing they could do and I would have to buy a new phone out of pocket. My phone has not been in contact with water and was 2 weeks old at this point. I took it to A to Z initially to see if I could buy a cheap phone to get me through to the next upgrade, but they said they would take a look at it and see if they could repair it. When I came back to pick it up, they said there was no evidence of water damage and encouraged me to call apple support to see if there was anything else they could do. The employee (i feel terrible i forgot your name, even though you remembered mine… sorry it was a very long and stressful day), explained to me in detail what I should be seeing if there was water damage and how it wasn’t present. Needless to say, he gave me the ammo and I called Apple Customer Support and now I have a free repair coming my way.
The staff here was very focused on customer service and actually listening to their customer. It was very apparent that he was interested in actually helping me, and not just trying to get me to buy something.

Thank you Adrian for saving A to Z! After a couple emails between Adrian, he just told me to bring my phone down so he could take a look at it. Adrian actually took the time to listen to all my concerns about my phone. After arriving at the store, Adrian took the phone and swap the screen. No issues, no fuss! Seriously one of the best places to come too when you have a problem with any phone, reasonable time to fix your phone, super friendly people, great costumer service, and they have great deals!

Broke my iPhone 6 screen and came into A to Z Wireless to get a replacement screen. It was $ 150 and took an hour even though I was quoted 30 mins and had to go back twice because it wasn’t ready. I asked them to put on a screen protector as well that was bought somewhere else and they totally ruined it so I ended up just removing it.
A week later the right side of the screen started coming off. I went back in and they replaced it. A week later, the same thing happened again with the right side of he screen coming off. Once again, it was replaced. The following week, the left side started coming off. I went in and they told me it’s not coming off (which it was and still is) and said that it would just keep happening. Blaming the design of the phone, I would say it’s the crappy parts they buy…
DO NOT BUY REPLACEMENTS SCREENS FROM HERE. IT’S A RIPOFF!

This place sucks terribly. Here is a list of reasons why:
1: The replacement screen is a thicker and cheaper glass than the original iPhone screen. AKA Apple will be able to immediately identify that your phone was tampered by a third party.
2: The cheap adhesive that they used caused my left corner to pop in and out. They didn’t even stick it in correctly.
3: Finally, I think they charged 100? (I could be wrong). Either way that is OVERPRICED. The screen only cost $ 60. Which means labor is overpriced. It only takes about 30 minutes to fix it.
However, I gave it two stars because they were able to see me that day
