Kevin’s Computer Service was founded by Kevin Westerberg in 2005. His goal has always been to provide affordable and reliable computer service to all of South Orange County. His quick response time and honest approach to computer repair has set him apart from the many techs available in South Orange County.

Kevin grew up in Fresno, CA. He transferred down to San Diego for school and has been in Southern CA since. He graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree in Business and continued on to become Microsoft Certified. In 2005 Kevins Computer Service was started. I took my wife’s iphone 6 to have the screen repaired. The repair tech breaks the first new screen so I had to wait a few minutes. I take the phone home happy to have it fixed then the new screen starts having distortion issues. I called Kevin’s and I was shocked to hear that they owned up to their product! I took it back and they replaced the screen at no charge. The next day my wife said she was having problems with her ear speaker not working. I called Kevin’s again and was expecting to be told that it was not their fault. Well I was shocked! They said to bring it back and they fixed it at no additional cost. I am a business owner and I have to say in these times when people find it reluctant to own up and guarantee their work its amazing to find a company that is willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I have to highly recommend Kevin’s. I believe these are the companies that are destined for success. When you’re not afraid to lose a dollar and gain new customers! It would have been nice to be able to get my old broken screen back.

I dropped and shattered my screen on my iPhone 6 last night and was totally bummed because I don’t have an upgrade at my phone carrier for quite some time. I was recommended Kevin’s by an AT&T employee actually! I was so happy to get a recommendation from someone who gets a lot of feedback on phone repair services. Today I took my phone straight to Kevin’s after work and within 25 minutes was walking out the door with a completely like-​new phone! Great service and fair pricing. Just wish I saw the $ 10 off offer on Unilocal before I paid! I also invested in a really great screen protector and paid only $ 20 for it. I had the same protector some time ago from AT&T (sorry!!) and paid $ 40 for it! This place is a gem and I wish more people knew about it!

One of my clients, an author in her 80’s had her hard drive fail. I was charged $ 50 for diagnostic and then credited the $ 50 with the new 1TB harddrive. I had a backup drive that they also loaded. We were extremely happy because we got to keep Windows 7 and it was all fixed in a couple of days. Total out the door $ 300. So happy and my client didn’t have to learn Windows 10! They understood our issues and only sold us what we needed. Perfect. The staff was very friendly and attentive too. Don’t hesitate to go to Kevin’s!

I wish I could go lower than one star. The entire encounter left me feeling really uncomfortable and mistreated. From the smarmy guy who talked down to me both at the counter when I went in and again when I phoned back to see if my mac would be ready by five, to the price quoted me which was over the top for what turned out to be just a password bypass … I felt overlooked, mishandled and hoodwinked. It felt EXACTLY like buying a used car from a dishonest dealership. The entire experience was BAD and left me feeling like a fool for trying to support my local small business. What a pity. I can’t caution enough about staying away from here!

I got my iphone glass repaired here on Saturday. An hour later, I looked down at my phone that had been in my purse, and there’s a crack down the middle of the screen. I didn’t even drop it, it has a case on it, and it was less than one hour after he fixed it! Apparently the glass that they use is not the same quality as Apple.
Now because the glass is so thin, every single time I am on the phone, if my cheek even lightly touches it, it will hit speaker phone or mute or facetime. Every single call I make is interrupted, and I use my cell phone primarily for business calls so it is a huge inconvenience. This never used to happen…
I think it is Kevin’s Computer Services responsibility to inform the customer and let them know that they are not replacing it with the same quality of glass, and warn them of the potential problems.
I really wish I would have known beforehand, and spent the extra money to get a replacement from Apple, rather than get it fixed here and waste $ 150.

These guys are wonderful! I needed a new charger port for my Macbook pro and originally looked into a computer repairman who traveled to your home, after reading that repairman’s responses on Unilocal I decided he was condescending and I just don’t have time to go to jail for punching someone in the throat so I ended up here at Kevin’s. The guys here were extremely polite and speedy, my computer was fixed in less than 24 hours!
I thought I needed a new battery for my computer as well and instead of taking advantage of me and my lack of computer knowledge to gain an extra $ 80 they were honest and told me I didn’t need a new battery, sure enough after getting the computer home-​I didn’t! I’d recommend them 100 times over and even though I hope I don’t have to use them again anytime soon, i’d use them again in a heart beat!

These guys are awesome. Needed an old IDE hard drive for a friend’s computer, and they provided! Alex was great to talk to, and knows his stuff.
I don’t know about that 1 star review with a quote of $ 20 for an upgrade– sounds like complete garbage (possibly a competitor) to me. I wouldn’t believe any of that crap.

I went to Kevins Computer Service because I needed them to check out a used phone I had bought that needed some repair work. I don’t know much about cell phones or computers so it was important that I find someone I could trust.
Well, from the minute I walked in and met Alex I got a great feeling and knew I was in good hands.
Alex was awesome! He checked out my phone, figured out what was wrong with it and gave me a fair quote for repair.
In addition gave me a lot more information about my phone that turned out to be really valuable when I ended up selling the phone on Craigslist.
So next time I needed something repaired I went right back to Alex and had the same great experience as the first time.
He fixed my iPad Mini the same day, gave me a very fair price and gave me some great tips on some apps that were really cool …
Alex is super professional, really nice, easy to talk to and there wasn’t a question that he couldn’t answer!

My PC crashed to the point where I wasn’t even able to turn it on. I called Kevin’s and left a message explaining the issue and the time constraints I was under to access those files. I got a call back from Tyler within a half-​hour, and he said to bring the computer in right away. He answered a ton of questions I had about how they would get my files from my PC, what they would back them up to, and how I could transfer them to a new Mac. Tyler was incredibly patient and had no problem explaining tech things in terms I could easily understand. Within a short time, I had all my files from my old computer on an external drive, and the ones I wanted transferred to my new Mac — all for a fair price. Tyler rocked.

I dropped my work phone (an iPhone 4s) on the ground, shattering the screen. Had no idea they were made of glass! Since it was nearly impossible to make phone calls without getting stabbed with shards of glass, I figured it was imperative to get this fixed right away. I researched briefly the ‘do it yourself’ kits which were about $ 39 but decided I would probably kill the phone if i touched it, I found Kevin’s Computer Service nearby and with a flat fee of $ 80, and a promise to have the phone back to me in a few hours. I spoke to Tyler who was very pleasant on the phone and met Kevin who was equally pleasant, at the store when I dropped off the phone.
I was very pleased with the customer service, speed of repair and cost. I left the phone for a few hours, went whale watching and came back to a better than new phone. Plus, got to support a local business.
Though no one wants to deal with computer issues, I will happily return should (when) the need arises.

They wanted a minimum of $ 50.00 to do a simple upgrade that I had been quoted from another guy for $ 20.00.

I was contacted by Kevin via Unilocal he was very concerned with the lost programs and Reyes to insure me that he could try to recover them. I was still very unsettled with allowing him or his people to touch my computer and voiced this to him. I slept on it and decided to give him the opportunity to try to fix the problems. I just picked it up yesterday and when I got home I turned it on and to my dismay it wasn’t working! I was floored it was 10pm at night and I have now been without my computer for a month! Trying to keep a level head I remembered that he had given me his cell phone so I shot him a text. (I had zero confidence that he would answer) To my surprise in seconds he answered walked me through the problem and in seconds my computer was working. I must say not only working but working FAST! It feels faster than when I originally purchased it I am amazed! I would give 5 stars however we did have the hiccup and I did loose the programs so 4 stars will have to due. Kevin thank you for standing by your work with very few excuses. I will always back up my work moving forward as you suggested. I hope the best for you.

I found Kevin searching through google for a computer guy near San Clemente. It ended up that he was just a few buildings down from my office. I sent him an e-​mail and he replied back so quickly and offered to come help that day. His customer service is fantastic and he is just very helpful. I would highly recommend Kevin for business or personal help with your computer. He is now our «go to» guy.
