The St Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Antonio

WoW!!! Excellent Hotel, probably one of my favorite stays. Service was impeccable, rooms were modern. Overall décor was tasteful & renovations stayed true to the historical nature of the property. Excellent location, everything is within walking distance.
I will definitely return. Would rate a Six-​Star if possible ~

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! They’ve done an excellent job of updating the classic luxury and blending the new elements into a spectacular hotel. Any complaints I have are nit-​picking, but then again, I am picky picky picky…
Their valet service is squirrelly. Disorganized and slow.
Their head bartender was odd. Claimed they’d never had a certain drink, even though it is on their current website. Then complained when we ordered a stock drink (Jack and water), saying he hates to make them.
The pool is beautiful, but was oddly warm, like bath water. When I see diaper-​wearing babies in the water, warm water makes me reluctant to spend much time there, even if they are «swim» diapers.
I hope to stay at the St. Anthony again.

Stayed here three nights and have zero complaints. The rooms are comfortable, clean and remodeled. The staff are sincere and extremely nice. Love the pool/​bar area. This hotel will be my next go to
Place to stay when visiting San Antonio.

I was at the St. Anthony hotel last night for dinner at Rebelle. I was so impressed with the staff, everyone was so friendly and polite! I guess I wasn’t expecting much since we pulled up for valet in my boyfriend’s car he has had since high school, a 1990 Honda Accord (new paint job and body still in great condition, though, haha). Nonetheless, the young men that gave us a valet ticket, held doors open for us, and offered us bottles of water while waiting for the car to return were all very polite and friendly, and looked very handsome in their uniforms. Rebelle has a very cool ambiance, good food and great service. The hotel is beautiful after their recent renovations, and smelled great, reminded me of how every hotel in Vegas has a signature scent. Based on this, I bet actually staying at the hotel overnight is a real treat.

Our stay here was wonderful. It is a beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and oh so comfortable. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool. I don’t think you could ask for a nicer place to stay while visiting San Antonio. The location is very convenient to both The Riverwalk and The Alamo. The staff at the hotel are all exceptional, especially Tony, what a sweet guy. We can’t wait to come back!

Such a beautiful hotel. The suites are gigantic and well worth the cost. Incredible pool on the 6^th floor, very trendy and great bar, and the restaurant seems to be a great place. The lobby is incredible. Favorite hotel in San Antonio, and I’ve done them all.

My background is in the hospitality industry in 5 stars hotel… working in Century City, Beverly Hills managing chains of hotels, my standards are high due to my background experience, traveling around the world just added to my standards of what a top notch hotel must offer, I believe Customer Service should exceed the product, since the product is similar in upscale hotels… therefore the service provided is the true competition. I must say, I never thought I would find the highest of services in SA at the St. Anthony… from concierge Patricia, Ed and Jeff that called prior to facilitate our check in and for our 25^th anniversary staycation visit, to Vince, Jessica and the early morning May 26 bellman that provided water bottles for a return home… each added to the memorable occasion, NOT TO FORGET THE BARTENDER… HE WAS AS COOL AS ICE… MADE US FEEL AT HOME THE NIGHT OF MAY 25TH. The hotel itself is a landmark with beautiful views of the park and the feel of NYC/​Chicago as valet flagged a cab for us. This hotel is beautifully renovated and a true Gem in SA, take the time to read the green book in the room, you will see that you a now part of a great legacy of legends whom stayed there. Best place to celebrate ANYTHING!!!

Luxury at its finest! This place is beautiful! They treat you like royalty.
It is completely renovated, modern and gorgeous. The workers here are amazing! Always smiling and greeting you.
We are staying on the 10^th floor looking out over the park. I can only speak for this room but I suggest getting a higher room and it facing the park.
The pool area (rooftop pool 6^th floor) is nice and clean. They also have a higher up rooftop setting that is nice to go and relax on. (Also happens to be on the 10^th floor)

St Anthony is a great gem in San Antonio for those who would like access to riverwalk without the excess tourists. Situated just few blocks from riverwalk and the Alamo, St Anthony is actually a pretty quiet hotel with excellent service from the staff. The «rooftop» pool and bar area on the sixth floor are very chilled and relaxing. As SPG platinum member, I was upgraded to their suite on 8^th floor; which view was just OK but the room itself was very large and had cool technology (Bose Wave, Light switch + temperature control on an ipad-​like system). The breakfast was delicious and you will be next to Travis Park.
There are few areas where St Anthony can improve. The turn down service arrived a tad late at 9.30 pm. When I asked for engineer to fix the television, nobody showed up. Nothing is perfect, I suppose but I definitely like the exclusive feeling of St Anthony as opposed to Westin in San Antonio.

Had a great stay overall. If I had to not pick I would say that I asked for a room near the elevator and received a room near a broken elevator. Overall, GREAT STAY. Service was great, accommodations were nice. All requests and expectations were met and exceeded. Will definitely be back.

Wow! We loved our stay. It has beautiful décor, large rooms, great shower and wonderful service. I like the free water and coffee and how connected the room was with technology. The valet was amazing. Turn down service was also nice.

The St. Anthony is a true gem of a property in San Antonio. I’ve stayed several times and have never been disappointed.
Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived at the valet. The front desk staff was courteous, expeditious, and made sure we were taken care of. As an SPG platinum, we were upgraded to a large suite on the 8^th floor. The décor and ambiance of the hotel is luxurious with very little details left out. Even the turndown service left rose petals around the bed and in the toilet… in the toilet? :D Nice touch.
The rooftop pool on the 6^th floor was great, with well-​stocked towels and a quiet inviting setting. The on-​property restaurants and bar were also top notch.
This is a property that you have to stay at if you are in San Antonio for pleasure or business!

Disappointments from the start to end:
— 12 people waiting in the check in line
— Asked for room with view, got a view of the wall
— mini bar locked with a key and food placed on top of it melting
— I ordered food 3 times, tasted like airplane food. Second time they took TWO hours to deliver it, third time, ordered breakfast before checking out they took 45 min to deliver a bagel and some cold cereal and forgot to deliver the grapefruit juice.
— asked for toothpaste, of course I never got any
— left for a few hours, asked for housekeeping just to come back to an unmade room. Had to leave again so they could tidy it.
— had to pay for a very slow wifi (it’s said to be a «4 star hotel» it should be free”
— check out time set at 12pm. 11:42 lady banged on my door saying she was checking rooms. I was still waiting for breakfast. They kept on calling and banging while I was rushing to eat and leave this horrible place.
I came to San Antonio to see the Robert Plant concert, after seeing him in Dallas. I had such a great time there at the Omni. If it wasn’t for wonderful mr. Plant my trip would have been a disaster.
Hope they read this and do something about their bad service.

Nice Starwood property in downtown San Antonio. Definitely better than the Sheraton Gunther (at least the last time we stayed there which was quite some years ago so maybe they’ve remodeled). Check out the Sky Terrace on the 10^th floor in this place.
If you’re fond of bathtubs, as I am, don’t get tour hopes up at this hotel. They only have a few with tubs and showers and they are junior suites or ones with two beds.
If you valet, make sure to call ahead from your room about 15 minutes before going down to the lobby. People who didn’t do that were all outside complaining each time we walked by.
Short walk to the Riverwalk. Eat at Bella on the River. I typically don’t like the restaurants on the river (tourist traps with okay food) but this place is a gem.

The hotel was beautiful, nice clean rooms, a couple of bars inside, amazing pool, friendly staff. Within walking distance to the Riverwalk. If your looking for a place to stay with lots of history this is it!

Yeah I got nothing bad to say about this hotel. I booked it under the FHR program for Amex Platinum, and they offered me breakfast, $ 100 food and beverage credit, late checkout, and a free upgrade. That said, even without all those benefits, this is just about the perfect hotel. Clean and modern gym; classy yet retro lobby décor (complete with an antique steinway!); fun hangouts; and wonderful service. It’s very close to the Alamo and Riverwalk, but still far away enough that you don’t have to worry about noise. And Travis Park is simply beautiful at night when all their trees are lit up.
Plus, I used the $ 100 on room service, and the food was better than a lot of actual restaurants. Will definitely make this my hotel of choice for any and all future visits to San Antonio.

About as perfect as s hotel can be!
Staff & Service:
Everyone has been very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I encountered staff at: check-​in, valet, lunch in the lobby and room service. ALL provided perfect service. Made me feel like a queen.
Food:
Food was good. For lunch, I had a Cesar salad in the lobby restaurant. Sat at a lovely table with a view of the park across the street. For breakfast, I ordered room service and had Eggs Benedict.
Room:
My room was just perfect. The bed was amazing — soft and the sheets were crisp. The pillows seemed like they were filled with down feathers (not sure if they were, but that’s what they felt like).
The bathroom was clean and stocked with fluffy white towels. One suggestion: If you like to take a bath, ask for a room with a bathtub. My room only had a shower. But — it was a luxurious walk-​in shower!
All the lights and the temperature can be controlled by a push-​button panel next to the bed.
Property:
This is the most amazing part. This property is historic and they kept the most beautiful parts and married them with modern edges — like adding pops of grass-​green color here and there. I noticed old tiles and big old glass door-​knobs next to new carpet and fresh paint.
This would be a great place to have a special anniversary, a wedding night, or a «treat-​yoself» weekend.
I will be back!

Great new hotel, came for a conference being held here. They seem to have decent facilities. I am SPG platinum and they treated me well. Awesome service, upgrade to a large suite, which very well appointed, extremely comfortable. Great wifi.
Close to a lot of things. I would easy stay here again.

When taking a weekend trip to San Antonio I prefer to stay at the St Anthony. Great location near the river walk, clean large rooms, street parking easy to find, and a ton of history associated with this hotel.
Make sure to check out the the St Anthony Club Bar.

Worked a wedding at this hotel last night.
GREAT experience! San Antonio is usually a logistical nightmare, but Staff at St. Anthony (Michael, Sara, Matt, Sy) were absolutely exceptional in acquiring me parking, helping coordinate load-​in, etc. Communication was absolutely brilliant!
The look and feel of this place was great. I love this hotel, real history. They’ve done a great job at updating the technology and sound of the building while retaining the look and feel of the era.
Even the contractor came down and chatted about sound with me. He is staying on site. When does this happen?! Seriously!
I’ve worked a TON of event spaces and hotels. Nothing compares to the level of hospitality.
This joint is over a hundred years old.
They are obviously doing it right.
REGARDING THE GHOST: I did not see nor sense a ghost.
However, I will keep going back until I do!
