We pride ourselves on meeting our client’s requests while working within designated budgets, restrictions from the Building Department and requirements from engineers, all while creating beautiful architecture.

History

Established in 2004.

Studio J Architecture started in Berkeley, California and moved to Marin in 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Jay S.

Business Owner

Jay Sherlock grew up in Virginia right outside of Washington DC. Jay originally went to school for Language then changed his focused to Art and after meeting the right professors, he found his passion for Architecture. After receiving his Masters in Architecture from Virginia Tech, Jay decided to move to San Francisco to peruse his career.

Jay worked on award winning projects with Orjala Architecture and Thompson Studio Architecture and in 2004 decided to open his firm, Studio J Architecture. «Working with people, turning their dreams into reality is what makes Architecture exciting and rewarding.»

Jay specializes in residential and commercial Architecture both remodels and new construction. He is a magician turning his clients requests, restrictions from the Building Department, requirements from Engineers and budget restrictions into something beautiful.
