Food was fine nothing fabulous. Service was also acceptable. The place was fairly empty for a Friday night.

Unfortunately zero stars is not an option. This place does not deserve to be categorized as part of the«hospitality» industry. I spent years as a server, bartender and manager in the hospitality industry before my corporate job and I am ashamed of this place. My fiancé and I met up with another couple for a nice night out. We are all professionals in our late 20s to early 30s. The other gal and I went in first while the guys went to the local cigar shop. Our server was great, the atmosphere was fine. We were having a really nice time until my friend’s husband tried to get in. He is from another country and has an accent other than our MinnEsOta one so for this reason the bouncer decided to go on some power trip and discriminate against him. He would not let him in. The bouncer stated«he was rude and if he was rude to the bouncer what would he do to the server.» The manager came over and when I tried to talk to him, refused to look at me and just said«I am going to believe him over you». I am fortunate enough to not experience a lot of discrimination in my life so the attitude of these two in a «hospitality» industry blew my mind! It is tempting to discuss how they are probably just insecure about how gross of humans they are but that is really beside the point. As the consumer we have lots of choices and a lack of «customer service» in a «service» industry is my number one reason to never go to a place.

I came here at brunch time. The service was friendly and fast, but all of my food came out cold. The nachos were awesome(despite not being hot). In fact, I think the food tasted pretty good, and probably would have been amazing if it was actually hot. Maybe next time…

This is a college bar. So do expect a lot of young adults. The service is ok. Pretty small place. Packed as hell on birthday tuesdays and the music sucks. Plus the bouncers are on bs. Apparently you need a second form of id. They don’t tell you why, they just won’t let you in.

Not sure why this place isn’t rated so well, went there last night(a Friday during happy hour) and was completely satisfied from beginning to end. Were seated and greeted right away by our server, who was attentive throughout our visit. Happy hour drink specials were numerous and the free spicy peanuts were a nice touch! Food came out quick and hot. My husband got a spicy burger with the Tijuana sauce – super yummy! I got the salmon salad – huge, fresh, and pretty classy for only a $ 12.99 salad! Finished off with martinis which were, as everything else, better than expected. Will be back for sure, especially to try some of their nightly specials!

We were a little apprehensive after reading a few of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised!!! Food was great! Service was great and prices were typical. I had the fireball burger and my wife had the salmon salad. Both had great flavor and fresh ingredients. Food came out very timely. Waitress was on top of everything and very helpful. We finished off the night with martinis which were well poured. Nice atmosphere, clean, and nice seating options. We’ll be back.

It’s a Wednesday night and they didn’t let me into the bar because I don’t have belt loops on my pants… Are you kidding me? It’s a SPORTSBARON A WEDNESDAY! To clarify, the pants I’m wearing are JEANS they just don’t have loops because they have a draw string at the waist(the jogger style of jeans that are trendy right now). Also, I’m wearing a very nice sweater and arguable look much better than the guy checking ID’s and dress. He was wearing a cheesy striped button up and a TIE… AT A SPORTSBAR… I mentioned that I am dressed better than a guy in the bar walking around in shorts and he goes«yeah he works here», but shouldn’t he look nice if he’s working at a bar that enforces that kind of dress code? Do me a favor and never go here. Thanks.

A staple for young people in the area to go to and hang out. I love their Nachos !. It is definitely, good to share ! They are called the CHEF’S NACHOS which are fried flour tortillas topped with cheese, black beans, tomato, corn, red onion, cilantro, jalapenos and queso fresco. Topped with chipotle purée and sour cream. Served with salsa. FYI, the Salsa is super spicy but really delicious. I also enjoy their champaign and birthday specials, so be sure to ask the waitress about them.

Went in the evening after a wedding. Bouncer said my husband was too intoxicated to enter, primarily because he was sweating wearing a tie & dress clothes on a mn summer night & walking 2 miles. What. A. Joke.

WORST customer service EVER!!! Went there for my 21st birthday, because they have a Tuesday birthday deal. Our waitress/server(Nicole is her name) took our order when no one was there and missed an order from our group. She didn’t even put in the order, and she mentioned how she remembered the convo. HORRIBLE!!! I asked if I could get a new birthday drink because it was way too strong and she said yes but never got to it. I would not recommend !!!

One of the best buffalo chicken salads I’ve ever had. Why are we charging for a side of sauce though?

So I came back on a Friday night. It’s fun in that there’s lots of people(mostly college kids) and the dance floor is pretty packed, but the dj sucks and too many lights are on. I know that every bar/dance floor has the creepy guys who are just waiting for a girl to accidentally start dancing next to them, but here I can really SEE them. I’ll definitely avoid this place in the future.

This is a hard place to review. Their night-time party specials attract an undesirable crowd of icky people who are out to get completely wasted. Not my scene… I mean, just reading the nightly specials/party menu makes me queasy. However, I have come here more than once on Sundays for the Bloody Mary Bar. For that, this place goes from zero to three stars. The day time Sunday crowd consists of older people and slow-moving thirty-somethings recovering from the night before. You pour your own vodka at the bloody mary bar, and it’s not bottom shelf vodka. I usually go with the Absolut Peppar. Yum. The makings of the bloodies are all good stuff, as well, including stuffed olives of all sorts, every type of tomato juice and mix. and all the hot sauces you need, among other delicacies.

Today was probably the best day I’ve had in a long time. I just got offered the job at a company that I truly see myself working for a long time. So what better place to celebrate than the wild onion! Did I mention it was also two of my friends birthdays? Yes! Perfect place to be on birthday Tuesdays! But seriously, the only reason I cannot give this place 5 stars at the moment is because the same DJ keeps playing full songs instead of snippets. He also made a huge mess up in his remix that made everyone stop dancing for a moment. But in regards to food, I ordered one of the starters that was like 4 small burritos in a nacho bowl filled with lettuce and corn. It was actually spicier than I remember but nonetheless I shared it with a friend since its so big. I’m grateful that I have run into friends at this bar and enjoy the many many birthdays!

One of the severs dropped a drink into my bag, I love mimosas but not in my bag. I wish she was more sorry about it. the flood was blah and the bloody Mary was amazing, I’m going to send them a dry cleaning bill for my bag.

We ordered one round of drinks and one round of apps. We would have ordered more if the service hadn’t been horrendous. Less than 5 minutes after our drinks were at the table, and before we had even taken a bite of our food, our server asked if we wanted more drinks. We were not even half way through the drinks. Within the next fifteen minutes, she came by 4 more times and asked if we wanted more drinks. But we were just nursing the first one. We told her we might in a while, but we were still drinking the current beer. We had been at the table a total of 20 minutes, and she brought our check. As she came to the table, we were discussing how bad the service was, she rolled her eyes. This server made it the worst dining experience in recent memory.

My friend from St Paul kept up-playing this place as one of the best bars/after night places for people our age in the TC. Unfortunately I wasn’t that impressed, we have something like that in Indy. It’s a bar with cheap drinks, loud music, lots of guys. The dance floor is small and spills out in every which way that makes it hard to maneuver around such. It was cool to have music videos of all the songs play, but that + the loud music after awhile was enough to create headaches.

I can’t speak to the whole restaurant or what it’s like when the bar scene comes alive, because I came here for one reason and one reason only: the nachos. A lifetime Twin Cities resident told me that this place had the best nachos in the cities. After tasting them, I don’t dispute the claim. They come neatly arranged on thick tortilla chips that hold their crunch despite the mountain of delicious toppings evenly piled onto each chip. Chicken, beans, corn, cilantro, pico, sour cream, real cheese, and special sauce… It’s all there in its delicious glory. Put simply, each bite is a beautiful symphony of nacho perfection. While the rest of the establishment remains a wild card for me, I’m giving the nachos a solid recommendation.

The 3 stars is strictly because of the amazing deal for the $ 3.50 bloody mary bar. I live in Texas and we don’t have a deal that great anywhere that I know of. The vodkas were premium too! The food was not nearly so good though. We got the seasonal strawberry chicken salad and the oatmeal pieces were weird and the chicken was dry. There was also something weird going on with the flooring. There was half flooring strips and half cement so not sure if they were under construction or what but it was awkward right to move my chair around. But either way if I lived here I would come every Sunday just for the bloody mary bar.

Stopped by this place a couple weeks back when I was strolling Grand with the girlfriend. Was pretty early in the afternoon and the place wasn’t as busy as I thought it’d be considering how nice it was and how busy Grand was. Either way, we didn’t have any drinks so I can’t comment too much on that aspect, just the food. I got the The Widow Maker Club at the recommendation of the waitress for a sandwich. Thought everything was really well done with the sandwich. Chicken was tasty, the sauce was very good, avocado was a refreshing touch and the bread was the perfect choice for the sandwich. Honestly can’t remember if it was ciabatta or a baguette though. The slaw left a little to be desired though. Very tasteless dressing to go with a decent little mix of veggies. My girlfriend got the Blackened Ahi and Avocado Wrap. VERY good taste to the wrap. Very well done, but also very messy. Everything about this wrap was perfect for a summer day. Very good tuna, lightly seared, the slaw in the wrap was very good, and the avocado ranch was incredible. The big complaint is that the dressing they put in the wrap, an olive oil or balsamic vinnegar sauce — will literally shoot across the table when you get to the edges of the wrap. And I mean, it’ll fly. It collects in the bottoms and squirts when you bite into it… so… yeah… aim it at someone you don’t like. All in all, I’d hit the place up again if I were looking for a place on Grand and wanted to eat relatively light. Next time I’ll try the Sweet tater fries instead of slaw though.
