Good clean fun place but understaffed when we were there on Thursday at happy hour. Bartender was doing all she could to get to everyone, I felt better for her when backup arrived before we left. Food was okay. The buffalo chicken in the salad just tasted like hot sauce. My guys sandwich gave him terrible heartburn. Probably wouldn’t eat here again.

Hardly any selection of anything except AB products, wish some of these dive bars would sell more than AB. Beers are kinda on the expensive side also. Bartenders are not that friendly, unless your a regular.

Good food and reasonable prices. Kudos to them for that, really. We had several tasty apps. However, service was abysmal. Beer selection geared towards the AB crowd.

So they HAD the sound on during the hockey game… until some guy decided to play the jukebox. I asked the bartender to turn it back and they refused. I thought this was a SPORTS bar?!? And the steak sandwich was chewy. It’s less than 2 miles from my house, it’s sad but I’m Never going back.

Meh, ok sports bar if that’s what you want. Slow service, dirty and horrible music … like they bought«Best of Crap 80s Band –Versions 1−10». Loud and unimpressive. If you want a better bar that’s close head across the street to Southtown Pub. The only interesting thing is the Skeeball, but that’s not enough to make me come back.

The pizza was good. Service was terrible. Very under staffed. Lock on women’s restroom is jacked up to where you dont know if its locked or not. Not a place we will return to.

Bommar’s. No frills. Buckets of domestic beer for $ 10. Done and done. It has the typical bar food. I tried the mini fried tacos. Not great but not bad. After 4 beers just about anything taste decent. Service can be slow during the off hours like on a Sunday at 4pm when I ventured in. Only one bartendar. She tried but all the seats around the bar were filled and a few tables too. It has an interesting array of pinball and video games. Imagine seeing the Lord of the Rings pinball. I had to stop and pause. I would definitely go back. Any place that serves $ 10 buckets is A-Ok in my book.

Great place to watch the game, play darts, and skeeball. Great staff and service.

A man cave mecca. This place is a perfect spot to grab a bucket of beers($ 10 during happy hour), throw some darts, play some golden tee, or just catch a game on TV. It’s a nicer Hot Shots but without the hoosiers. Food was ok. We tried a plate of mini pizzas and an order of T-ravs. The mini pizzas were the kind that you see at a party… on rye bread, with a velveeta/burger glob on top.

I met friends here on a Friday night after work. Like others have said it is a typical sports bar, nothing super different about it, but the wait was never long for another round and they have pretty reasonable prices. My initial reaction was«eh, this place is okay.» Here’s why I will go back and will tell you they rock: the bouncer and kitchen staff(also, they have skee ball). Seriously. Here’s what happened: I went over to ask the bouncer when they stopped serving food. He looked at the clock and told me he was sorry, but it was about ten minutes ago. I told him it was okay, that I was asking on a long shot, thanked him, and went to sit back down. A few minutes later he came over to my table to tell me that he asked the kitchen staff if they would mind staying so I could order. They were willing to let me order off the entire menu — not just«hey, you can only have what takes two minutes to heat and throw on a plate.» That is exactly what I ordered though, thinking that the cooks would just nuke it, send it out, and peace. Nope. None of the food I received had been microwaved. It was hot, cooked properly, and pretty much rocked my world considering what they had done. How awesome is that? Needless to say, you will probably find me with an order of breaded cauliflower attempting to find enough quarters in my wallet to play skee ball.

We headed over to Bommar’s after shopping at Petsmart one night. It’s a lot larger on the inside than we thought… nice and roomy. We were not greeted at all so we just sat ourselves down near the dart boards. If you like darts, this looked like a great place to play. It wasn’t too crowded and I think we were the only ones ordering food. You have to order at the bar also. We started w/the fried mushroom appetizer which were just eh… the ball kind that you get at a dive bar. I got a mushroom swiss burger and chips, it was unusual since it was long and HUGE and looked really good, but it was very, very dry even though I wanted it med rare and no flavor that I noticed… just meat. Hubby got the Black n Bleu burger and it was the same way. It was pretty loud in there too so we didn’t stay too long. I’m sure it’s fine to go there for yuk appetizers and just drink. It’s very nice and spacious inside, so probably great for a party or a dart league. I’d skip the food though… maybe we just came on a bad chef night.

Worst service ever. Seriously, I love the cheap prices(because you forget to ring them in) but, waiting 10 minutes for a drink is stupid. No wonder there was only a few people on a Saturday night. Horrible

Skee Ball Machine. No longer do you have to travel to the vacuous depths of Dave and Busters, or the lucid nightmare that is Chuck E Cheese, you can get In your caboose and truck it down South Kingshighway, pull in to the Office Depot and Petsmart shopping center, drive past the Starbucks at the entrance and stop when you see all of the other cars parked in front of a quiet and unassuming bar. From the outside, Bommar’s looks small and boring, but inside it’s a pretty nice hang out, lots of room, lots of games, DARTS, a big bar, and even some bar food is available. Each time I’ve been in here there were lots and lots of dudes. Not so much dudes I would want to meet as a potential dude, but dudes nonetheless. PLUS They’ve got Big Buck Hunter. WOOOOT! The only downside to this is that it sits right next to Golden Tee. And, believe it or not, there are dudes out there who still fixate themselves on the unscratchable Golden Tee itch, and are willing to set up shop there all day if they have to. Not my kind of dudes. Esp, when I’m trying to smoke someone’s Big Buck Huntin Ass over a bucket or two of Stags on a random Sunday afternoon.

We stumbled upon Bommar’s one weekend after making a visit to PetSmart. There are no signs from the street and it’s well hidden behind some car lots and a strip mall. We were surprised to see something back there and decided to check it out. Bommar’s is a typical sports bar and grill. They have large flat screen TVs(at least 6), darts(a whole wall of them), skee ball, shuffleboard, silverstrike, etc. They also have Club Keno. No pool table though(minus points). The food is actually pretty good. And word is they haven’t finished the kitchen yet, so look forward to an even better menu soon. We’ve tried the roast beef on garlic cheese bread, southwestern chicken wrap, BLT wrap, and the cheeseburger quesadilla. All their meals come with chips and your choice of slaw(vinegar based) or cottage cheese. Plus, the chips are from The Billy Goat Chip Company. Nom nom nom! We’ve been to Bommar’s about 3 – 4 times now and every time has been pretty empty. The crowd gets a little rowdy later in the evening, but they all seem fairly laid back. If you live in the neighborhood, check it out the next time you’re in the mood for something different.
